The first Lebanese christians were Lebanese, and to your information the first maronites in Lebanon were Lebanese of mount lebanon and north mountains and not immigrants from syria. Some followers of St MAroun left Syria and came to Lebanon, they didn’t come in many numbers cause they were mudtahadeen, they couldn’t travel countries and borders in great numbers, they preached in Lebanon and made followers… it is until after 200-300 years that syrian Maronites came to the coast(Sawa7el Tripoli and Akkar), but the first Maronites were Lebanese; Maronites of the Mountains.
