After posting about the LF units , i will continue posting about the LF organizations & institutions.

Bashir had a great role in starting those institutions and founded several ones that are still existant till today, mainly in Achrafieh. After Bash died, Those institutions were either closed or became independant and others stayed under Hakim’s rule, for ex Massira & LBC & C33.

Hakim was faced later on with a more difficult task, which is founding organizations to assist the people in their daily lifes and assuring their most basic demands, he founded an infrastructure in the Free regions that is still unmatched till today.

I will go through this topic in the last post.

I will expose the Institutions and Organizations founded mainly by Bashir now before tackling the infrastructure of the LF. You can read more about el Bash on the LF official site.

-Al-Ashbal ( Inexistant now)
Founded by Bachir Gemayel in 1975
(Its first camp was organized under the patronage of Bachir Gemayel in Jbeil scout camping grounds (1975))

-Popular Committees ( Still present):
Launched by Bachir Gemayel in 1976
(Their aim is the people’s participation in the organization of daily life).

-Hamat Airport ( Closed now)
Founded by Bachir Gemayel in 1976. His father was totally opposed to the idea, but Bashir was stoo stubborn and kept on working with the help of his comrads and after achieving a great work, his father accepted helping him.
For special tourist trips and for the export of agricultural products….

-Radio Free Lebanon (Radio Liban Libre) (RLL - Iza3at Loubnan Al 7orr) ( Still Present and Operation and among the most popular radios in Lebanon)
Founded by Bachir Gemayel in summer of 1978
Its aim is to be a voice to the Lebanese Cause for the whole world.

-Radio 102 (Magic 102) ( Closed now)
Founded by Bachir Gemayel in 1979
Out of Bachir Gemayel’s desire for a commercial station in order to alleviate the burden of the war.

-Radio Voix Du Liban (VDL - Iza3at Sawt Lebnen) >( Still present and Operational)

-Delta Computer ( Inexistant now)
Founded by Bachir Gemayel in 1979 as a specialized information body related to all components of social organization
(Headed by Rafic Abou Mitri)

-Help Lebanon ( Inexistant now)
Founded by Bachir Gemayel to take care of children and alleviate the consequences of the war

-Lebanese Forces television (LBC) ( Still present and one of the best TVs in the Middle East)
(The Lebanese Broadcasting Corporation )
Launched in 1980 by Bachir Gemayel as a national, educational, cultural and non-commercial television

-Gamma Group ( Inexistant now)
An institution founded in 1982 by Bachir Gemayel including specialists to plan the building of a modern state in all of its sectors.

-The Lebanese Cultural Association ( Inexistant Now)
Founded by Bachir Gemayel in 1982
Created to deal with intellectual, literature and artistic affairs as well as Lebanese civilization

-Achrafieh Merchants Committee ( Still present and very active)
Founded by Bachir Gemayel in 1982
Created to revive the economy and trade and organize the market

-Achrafieh Festival Committee( Still present and very active)
Founded by Bachir Gemayel in 1982
Created to organize fairs and exhibitions and to encourage artistic activities

-C33 (Al Kanat al faransiyya al tabi3a lil LBC) (Closed)

-Al Massira Magazine ( One of the best political magazines in the Middle East and the only LF institution to stay loyal to the LF line throughout the previous years)

-St Anthony School ( Still present)

-SLIA Press ( Inexistant now)

-AUXILIA ( Still present and Operational)

Those are the institutions Sheikh Bashir and the LF leadership founded in less than 5 years time, Our path was not building a militia to fight the Palestinians & Syrians, we were building a country, our project was and still is the 10452.

As Bash used to say:
“Iza ma ija min ba3din 60 bachir fa siting al sineh 3laykum w 3ala hal adiyeh”
