I dont quite understand this feeling of betrayal M14 Christian supporters are feeling towards Hariri & Jumblatt’s choice to go for Gen.Sleiman.

What can we blame them for ?? Nothing at all.
In fact i respect Hariri because he never backstabbed his allies even though he could have done it on several occasions .. he never disrespected the patriarch, never cornered Dr.Geagea nor imposed a name for the presidency ..

He clearly stated from the beginning he will do whatever the Patriarch wants, hoping that Patriarch Sfeir will make an agreement with Hakim & Aoun to vote for one strong candidate. But Aoun stayed stubborn, put impossible conditions, disrespected the patriarch and appointed himself pope, and Hakim was unable to agree with him on compromising his name for another one ..

Hezbollah never wanted a president, in fact HA doesnt even care whether you have a president or not, so he supported Aoun illusioning him that he ll support him since he knew the other team wouldnt accept him.

Why blame Hariri & Jumblatt when we should be blaming ourselves ..
It is us who never agreed on one name ..
It is us who fought instead of dialoguing ..

Aoun met Geagea in prison in 2005, yet it was impossible to meet him now ??

Christians failed, M14 is still there ..

Brothas: You know what really pisses me off is that most of the religions in Lebanon are united and us the christians are fuckin divided, scattered and look like fools and keepin bustin each others and the others are enjoying the show and we haven’t learned from the past which is really really unfortunate my friends, I swear to god I’m tired of hearing the same news, the same names, the same families ruling and ruining the country and I do mean all the frickin leaders, no exeptions, they all are gettin paid and follow the instructions and they think that we ain’t noticin that, also Saad el Hariri fuck him dude that Dude was sniffin cocaine 2 years ago bi fa2ra and he didn’t know shit about our politics and know he wants to be our P.M ???????????????? People Wake up, what is wrong with you, are you nuts ?????????? Bi Libnen kello ma fi gheir sa3d el din el harireh? There are people out there who got brains on their shoulders ya 3ammeh!!!! people who are experienced and are willing to work to settle things up…. I don’t know brothas, it looks like the Lebanese equation is really difficult to solve, I promise you all that in few months from now el Taheloufet badda Tetghayer, M 14 100/100 badda tafrout, nadalna 3al 2iyereh ta ekhir shi tefrout…

I disagree with you. Hariri did not play it right with M14. he broke ranks and announced unilateraly his support for suleiman. That was the sign that he went his own way.

The Batrak did not want the 50+1 formula so he tied M14 hands. The mistake of M14 was to follow Bkerke and not listen to their hearts and honor their martyrs. No baydat..

Without Hariri, M14 is history, so they chose the lesser of two evils Aoun or Suleiman…We all know that Aoun is evil and idiot, and suleiman may just be in disguise another evil syrian follower. Time will tell, but I have a hunch he’s another lahoud.
I can’t believe we’re inviting the syrians back, maybe not their army, but surely their mukhabarat.

    EV,
Bra you n N10452 had a hung over yesterday night and you fox are still a little buzzed :) just kiddin I respect your perspectives mates but Dude I wonder why El hakim and Cheikh Amin agreed on Sleiman ?????????????? if he truly is what ur sayin then I don’t think that they would have given a green light to amend the constitution and elect that fool… I personally don’t get good vibes from him, I dunno why! But EV to tell you truth brotha there’s only one guy who really banged us in the butt was the moron michel Aoun, however i do some of him senators e.g Bob Kanaan this guys knows what he s talkin about, he s really smart and has some good point of views that i agree with bass khayeh Bi2oulo chi 3al television, they lift your spirits and emotions and do whatever is unannounced.

    Nassif,
Amine & Geagea had no other choice .. they are not strong enough to counter Hariri’s choice … sadly ..

I still think there is no worse than Franjieh or Aoun as president, the rest we have to live with it and create a new government with less obstacles against it.

With Sleiman they cant create a new goverment or a new president for themselves. The power will come back to the parliament and we can more or less focus on the next elections and El Murr is almost out of Aoun clan and he has no more use for Hizbulla.

Thats where the next battle shall be fought.

    N,
You would think that the shadow of Pierre Gemayel, the prison years and the martyrs of M14 would have empowered Amin, Hakim, Marwan, Nayla and above all Hariri, but No, they missed their chance of a lifetime to open the syrian door? Is that the best they could do? I cannot swallow it, it’s so freakin’ painful.

    Nassif.
the reason Amin and Hakin agreed on suleiman is because thy had no other consensus choice (vs. aoun or frangieh) and simply did not have the balls to start something big like forcing the issue with 50+1. That could have been the shot that would have sparked the birth of a new nation.

I think everything that is happening is a bunch of BS. I used to love the hakim, but now I can’t stand what he has done to himself and his followers. Everyone one of these old politicians from both sides need to leave everything alone and let the younger generation of politicians do everything. I know this will never happen but it’s the truth.
Things are eventually going to change but who knows if it will be for the better or worst. The new president Michel Suleiman, I don’t like at all. I think he’s just another Lahoud and the reason why they agreed on them is because the United States, Saudia Arabia and Syria want this to cover for everything they did in Nahr Al bared. I think it’s disgusting what they did and I am very disappointed in the Hakim.
I really thought that he would be there for us and help things get better, but I guess all he cares about is money money money, like the way he built his house worth millions of dollars and the security that he has which costs him nearly half a million dollars every month. Where did he get all this money from??? Was he selling drugs in jail LoL!! or is his wife rich like they are trying to say??
I love Lebanon more than anything in this world bas 3an jad bi kafii, all these lies to the people and putting the paradise of the middle east to ruins all because of greed and money. Think about it….
