  It’s a good point you raised about being proactive! this is what we lack in L.F, we must act instead of react ! but i think the army issue is not that big problem, coz Dr.Geagea showed clearly the number of army men and darak the other days how the christians are increasing in them! my concern is other issues! the army the only institute in the government! take for example massref libnein and question some people about the chritsian rights in there and how they are treated (ask a common friend he’ll let you know details) and that is one institue amongst thousands!

  I agree! Proactive is very important in addition to developing plans to counter any action by the opposition!

  I remember one Guy who has posted on this website, his nickname was maybe R or Richy Im not sure about that .

  This fellow Compared Lebanese Forces To Rome in the king Arthur movie.

  He Said that there is a scene in the King Arthur movie where they say that they are defending Rome which deos not exist ( sure the true Rome that they are dreaming about it ) and Today I feel same thing for Lebanese Forces we are defending Lebanese Forces that deos not exist( the True Lebanese Forces which we dreamed about it ) .

  First , We all know what Hakim has passed by during his 12 years in jail under syrian regime and we thank God millions of time because he was able to make it alive . Today I think Hakim is giving the maximum that he could after 12 years in jail during which Syrian regime tried to weaken Hakim Mentally and physically . Today LF is in the camp of 14 march which is the right direction and which I beleive that we had fight for 30 years and maybe more just to reach this stage .

  Second , Hakim speeches are excellent and we as guys we memorize every single word he is saying .
  However , there are many things that are left without explanation :
  1) refugees of Mountain , why LF still quiet on this and why they didnt return , there is money for people who are in south and dahyeh and no money for mountain war after 25 years . is this excuse acceptable for God Sake?
  2) your right today more muslims are entering In Lebanese army and ISF but to be fair We cannot blame fully LF as you said Christian guys are refusing to enter , In my village i Know guys till now they are sitting without job and they refuse to enter in LA or ISF , As LF we should be responsible for these guys We should tell them to enter for their own benefit otherwise we will lose them and they will leave the country .

  3) selling Lands , Hakim defended whereas we find That Many lands and houses are sold In jounieh and all Jounieh will be less then 3 % from Keserwan kaza , so they can buy jounieh and they will be less then 3 % so they will not break the law same thing for broumana , we should do our best to inform christians that selling their land is a very big mistakes they are commiting specially for their children when they grew up.

  I suggest that we merge with kataeb. Than we decide the president of the party.
  Kataeb is to much more organized and is our origines.

  I think that many LFers don’t want to join because it’s the same army and the same officers that beat and tortured the LF youth.

  And most of the army is loyal to lahoud.

  What if they’re ordered to shoot at Faris Souaid’s convoy,for example?

  Besides,
  As long as Michel Sleiman is calling HA the army’s brother, and not doing anything to stop their rearming in the south, not many LFers will be convinced.

  Just like last summer, Israel bombed army barraks and killed a bunch of soldiers(RIP)

  HOWEVER
  I do believe that more LFers should join the army,

  1st of all, because they can fight, and they will make the army stronger.

  2nd, so we can have more influence in the army, just like HA has a lot of influence.

  the vision of LF concentrates only on political topics like the Taif or who is proportionally the representative of the Christians .kataeb begun as football team! what I would like to say is, the LF must make themselves more attractive ,they have to worry more about the social problems of the young people,like fight unemployment,help to study ,free sport clubs,etc.
  let us be honest…who would like to be a soldier ?

  The change of demographics should also be taken into account while planning.. we can’t deny that as the Christian population is declining, it is getting harder to stretch on the accords that were made when it was half the population

  Johnny u’re totally right,

  Michel Sleiman is playing the devil role
  He’s trying to show himself as the best contender for Presidency for both parties (8-14 March).
  And i’m afraid that when his name will be suggested, the 8th of March will use him against us, and will try to put him in the opposite of 14 March, which means the whole Armay against us.
  We should prevent this situation by abolishing any attempt to promote Sleiman for Presidency, because if he managed to be President, i think then, we can all say “Al Salam” on Lebanon.
  He’s getting himself so involved in Politics, the same thing happened before with Lahoud and Aoun, so we can expect a disaster.

  That opens a second issue, our Christian youth to join the Army. Which Army?? a big question mark that needs an answer, which is still missing till now. Everything in Lebanon should be redefined, we need to define religions, parties, Army, Security Forces, Government Institutions. We cannot go back to the 1943 Pact, and wait for a war or instability every 10 or 15 years.

  In this regard, i think that’s what the LF leadership is studying right now, we all now what Dr. Geagea is mentally able for, someone who defended himself better than all the lawyers, who have a great ability, is surely preparing something, but we should look to the facts, 11 years in prison while the LF were suffering + many crisis since 2005. I think it isn’t a easy task, but we’re going in the right way.
  Also, we can realize a big difference (between 2005 & 2007) in the LF power and volume withing the Lebanese Politics. I think we started to be proactive, and we’ll show it better in the future.
  Of course we are disappointed, and we have many reasons to be, but we still need some time to judge, and i think after next October, things will be much clear.
