Bashir 7ay feena ?? Is he really?
Posted by N10452I started this post 10 times already, yet never managed to finish it.

It is not that easy to talk about Bashir, no words are good enough to describe what he was for the Lebanese back then, for the Christians mainly. Even those who knew Bashir cannot be objective in talking about his person and his acts, most of those still drop a tear when remembering him … He was just too good to be true, and no one was ready to lose him ..
When you see ex LF-fighters who held Syrians in Zahle & Achrafieh, who confronted savages like the Palestinians, drop a tear and become vulnerable when mentioning Bashir .. When you see those who assisted Bashir in his ascendancy to power, great thinkers and intellectuals and politicians and governmental officials turn silent and weak when remembering Bashir ..
You realize how immense his loss was ..
I was at my friend’s place few days ago, and his father was telling us about the Zahle battle, about how they were bombed from all sides by Syrians and tired and exhausted, yet everytime Bashir would call them to check up on them, his tone and his words would get them all pumped up and refreshed and ready to fight thousands ..
Bashir always said he is not a great intellectual person, but he knows how to reach out to people and understand what they truly want, he knew how to put into words what people had in mind, his speeches were so straight-forward, so sincere, so beautiful ..
I have been listening to his speeches for years, yet i still get goosebumps ..
His speech @ Tele Liban is his most famous, but all of them without any exception are impressive ..
Now back to the essence, i have a request for all those who think “Bashir lives in them”, whomever they were, Lfers or Aounists or Kataeb or Ahrar or independants etc … Your actions today and everyday are what determine if you have any of what Bashir had in you ..
I am specifically addressing the Lfers here ..
Bashir made the LF, he founded it, formed it, organized it, imagined it, picked its responsibles, inspired its members ..
What is the secret behind the LF and its institutions that stun the world ??
![]()
Charles Malek put it beautifully by saying :
The secret was Bashir and the big dreams he held, the secret was his vision and goals, his bold and long-term planning, his courage, his determination and self-sacrifice, his strengh and self confidence, the bond he had with his comrads, his discipline and tough decisive leadership, his clean hands .. he had it all ..
His character was contagious and this is how strong leaders were formed within the LF .. and today it doesnt suffice to say “Bashir lives in us” but we should put his words into practice ..
Defending your leaders blindly is not what Bashir did ..
Acting like thugs is not what Bashir asked for ..
Involving yourselves in silly fights and dividing the Christians cause of a poster of flag is not what Bashir asked for ..
Compromising your rights over few silly seats is not what Bashir died for ..
And most importantly,
Following a person instead of an institution and acting like Dhimmists is the greatest insult to Bashir ..
And to be honest, i believe almost all parties and Christians are closer to dhimmist blind followers than to true Bashirists ..
So leave him alone, let him rest in peace, take out those false signatures and start listening to Bashir again & Again and put his words into practice and then he ll be revived in each of us ..

Bash was building the institutions one by one and was becoming president and had a whole plan for making Lebanon a big working institution .. not a one man show ..
Bash was not given time to achieve his goals but this is what he believed in ..
As for Hakim,
What u just stated shhows that we failed Bach by not creating a democratic party
4. Ahiram Kanaan | September 15th, 2007 at 6:18 pm
The war’s not over yet and when we’ll reach the safe and secure side we’ll have a democratic party.
Untill then we’ll be suits by day, nightclubbers by night and thugs whenever anyone dare to touch Bachir’s Lebanese Forces and our Lebanese Christian Cross.
Had the Copts our thugs they wouldn’t be 20 million leaving as 2nd class dhimmis.
Had the Armenians our thugs, 1.5 million of them wouldn’t have been massacred without firing back one shot.
Had the Christians of syria and irak, Forces, Phalanges and Noumour Ahrar like we do and did, they would still feel pride in being Christians.
GOD bless our thugs: us.

Well the US is a free nation wnd all it’s citizens swear allegiance to one nation.
Today we have Lebanese on passport who still swear allegiance to syria, to iran, to bin laden…
Tens of illegal Lebanese, palestinian militias act freely on parts of our soil.
And Christians who are our neighbors, friends and relatives are preparing themselves to battle us, in our areas, for the sake of a madman slave to his ambitions, in league with syria and iran.
It’s still not clear also where the Army would stand.
We must be democratic, but if we can’t now that’s no execuse to destroy the LF temple on our head.

26. Johnny.B | September 16th, 2007 at 11:52 am
Darko,
I don’t care who agrees with me and who doesn’t, I speak what’s on my mind and I take responsibility for what I say even if some of my colleagues might disagree, that’s the way I am, maybe I’m bad at politics maybe I’m not, but I still beleive in freedom of speach and I will use till then end of my days, and I also expect to hear comments from you coz that’s your right to say whatever u want too!
after all we live in a country where we freedom never came free at all, we paid the highest price for that.
and it’s good to joke from time to time Darko, it reminds us of our human side and also reminds us also that there’s a life we need to live away from politics and waja3 l-rass….
Hope there’s no bad feelings Darko, w hay la 3younak awwal post 3ala your articles min 3endi !

Amin gemayyel, fed up with the persistence of the opposition in Lebanon, started praying daily at church for the elimination of Hizbollah, hoping that Jesus Christ would answer his prayers. After a whole week of praying, his prayers are not answered. So, he started praying again hoping that Mar Maroun would answer his prayers. After a whole week of praying, his prayers are not answered either. The Patriarch happened to be in church so Ja3ja3 runs to him madly shaking his head and asks him: “I prayed and prayed and prayed… Please tell me why Jesus Christ and Mar Maroun are NOT answering my prayers?!” The Patriarch says: “Of course; neither will answer your prayers because one is Palestinian and the other is Syrian”.
