Rafik,
Concerning the presidency election in Lebanon.
“E’ Suleiman l’uomo da battere”
It was a title in the Italian Newspaper of to day, “Il Foglio”.
Means: “Suleiman the man to beat”.
Please not again a man from the Army with all respect to all of them.
What do you think? when he will be elected, he is gone to be Syrian for sure?
2. N10452 | August 7th, 2007 at 9:50 pm
Patriarch doesnt wanna military man, i doubt he’s a serious candidate .. plus he s a freaking sissy !! who wants this pro-syrian as a president ??
Guess we need to lobby against him and distinguish him from the army more so that people dont make the same mistake again.

About the Article, geart one, esecially when it is coming from a highly educated person.
About Sleiman running for Presidency, i don’t think he has any chance, also we can’t stand another Military nut.
Myself, I prefer a technocrat person, someone who is very successfull and well known for his achievements, I can suggest many names, among them Carlos Ghosn, Carlos Slim (he became today the richest man in the world). Of course i don’t think they will accept this position. But we can suggest other successfull names, such as: Antoine Choueiry, Pierre Daher, and many others, i can’t seem to remember any specific name now.

Armenians today are stronger than ever. Lets not forget they have as much the right to vote as any of us.

U R Great Ms Maral Terzian!!!! Im Really Proud Of U, U R PURE Honest Lebanese Armenian. Please If u can send this message and your Voice for every Lebanese Armenian House i will be greatfull for u! GOD BLESS U
6. Rodge | August 8th, 2007 at 11:07 am
Betty,
U’re right especially in asking to send the message to every Lebanese Armenian House.
But Unfortunately, people these days tend to hear their parties and leaders talking, even if they are wrong, instead of hearing a true honest and logical voice such as Ms. Maral Terzian or someone like you Betty.

To All Armenien Tashnak ,
Pierre Gemayel was murderred by an awful crime because of his politics ideas and we tried to take revenge by keeping his seat and by sending message to all these criminals that we are all Pierre Gemayel , If you kill one of us , we will do election and we will keep his seat.
Now most of the Maronites voted for Pierre to take revenge from these criminals and we failed because of armenien Tashnak voters . Now the crimninals are happy And Aoun helped them by taking out the seat from 14 March .
My Question How you feel now if Maronites went and gave flowers to turkish soldiers in south Lebanon or maronites supported Turkey in any election against armeniens. If you dont respect our martyrs and death how you ask us to respect urs?
Your the first people who were christians , you should help christians in Lebanon to be one team , you should work on the christian Values by giving death a respect .
Finally , I give full respect to all armeniens in Lebanon specially those who voted for us but Im speaking now about Tashnak about armeniens who support Tashnak .Is it a wise decision taken by Tashnak ? How tashnak feels if we did same thing to him by voting for turkey ?
8. Betty | August 8th, 2007 at 1:39 pm
Dear shadow,
Beleive me its criminal if u do that (Law el jamal chef 7erdabto weke3 wi fak rakebto),i understand exactly what u feel…we dont accept that we r hurt too as lebanese Armenians…beleive me!!! we support all 14th of March party…i was in Bikfaya, all the election day supporting, The flag of “Kataeb” + the photo of the martyre Pierre Jamayel + the 2 white roses, still im keeping them in my car…beleive me we should look forward and move on, bcoz we r the winners!!!!! God bless lebanon
9. Shadow | August 8th, 2007 at 2:25 pm
Dear Betty ,
I have concluded my comment with two questions which summarizes everything.
1) How tashnak feels if we did same thing to him by voting for turkey ?
I didnt say that we will do it but I said how they feel if we did that ? I want them to feel the way we felt.If i asked you to respect me i have to do same at first place . I cannot ask you to do something that at first place im not doing.
1)is It a wise decision taken by the Tashnak ? are they happy now by the tension that they have created between maronites and armeniens. Aoun signed an agreement with the devil and he cannot go back anymore otherwise they will kill him and I understand that they want to support Aoun but not like this , why they were too agressive more then the tayyar. My freind in Tayyar was angry , he saying some people in Tayyar refused to go voting on the other hand we see tashnak they were too agressive for an election not for them. They can give Aoun 6,000 or 7,000 he will not be sad as it is good and for us we will win and there will not tension anywhere.
At the end of the day we are not their ennemies.
I respect all armeniens and i Have an armenien freind who is an LFers much more then all of us and who worked hard for this election but im speaking about Tashnak .
10. Shadow | August 8th, 2007 at 2:38 pm
You know why we are angry from Tashnaq?
Because you people experience the same thing with the turkish government , you people understand much more then others the meaning of someone died because of his beleives. I dont care what hizb awmeh soureh voted for and how many votes they give aoun because we know from where the instructions come and how they think.
The shock were from people who should defend the meaning of someone diying because of his beleives, you people understand what is the meaning of a martyr because you experience it .
Moush haydeh Bourj hamoud li mna3refa.
Finally 3atab 3ala add mhabeh .

walla ya Ali,
Thanks for taking the time to read and reply to my comments.
I just mentioned those to give an example of successfull people, i know they will not be interested. But i don’t know why u always seems to put Hakim’s name in every single issue. Anyway, you look convinced that Hakim is so strong that he can “ytayyir” the president (concerning what u said about Pierre Daher).
Anyway, it’s not our subject here, but what i want to say, is so far you don’t seem to committ in what u said in replying to my comment #27 in the previous posting. Thank you for what u said, but i assure u that most of us LFers think like this, but why u still on interfering between Christians, and why you want to tell the churches what to do? I thought u understood what i wanted to say, but it seems u couldn’t resist the temptation.
We have also a personal problem both of us, is that we’re visiting this blog at different times, so we find some difficulties in the follow up of each other comments.

No doubt about it , you are a patriotic person and LFERS dont think like you (i read the blog daily ) CHEYIF!
Keep in mind , you have to be as accurate and realistic as possible when presenting informations. Also, keep in mind that different situations bring our different behavior.
Thank you for your time

It is very sad to see that after all these years
Lebanese leaders of the Kataeb and the LF are once again acting like the Uneducated Jerdiyye that they are.
I am surprised that Mr Pakradounian did not remind any of those biggots that the maronites are originally from Syria. (particulary the homs area).
If only BG was still around, we would not have to deal with any of this bull.
I used to be in the LF, I went to school at (sacre coeur gemmayze, and then Mont Lasalle Ain saade). I was part of a very small group of armenians amongst a sea of Maronites.
I know exactly how maronites used to be.
I thought the past tense was appropriate, unfortunately I realised that the past is still the present.
The funny thing is, if you knew the truth about Lebanon, Syria, Israel, and all of the middle east you would realise how we are all being used.
A Lebanese Armenian.
