I am anxiously waiting to see who this president is gonna be, that president who is gonna make us suffer six additional years ..

And who is to blame ??
Not Hariri nor Nasrallah nor Berri nor any of those leaderships .. but Christians and only Christians ..

The Maronite Bishops said it clearly in their last statement, if we had true political parties that name potential candidates in a democratic way, then we would have had a president, but that is not the case.

Bkerke cannot unite the Christians, Aoun wants it all for himself and a large group of Christians following him seem to agree that only him can save us, which is truly saddening and depressing ..

On the other hand, 14M Christians cant agree on one candidate but rather have around 10 candidates and everyone trying his luck to fit in that magic formula ..

Well rest assured, the next president wont be from any side, but rather a neutral powerless useless figure who will keep things as they are and just sit on that chair making statements for the next six years, unless one side buys him and gets him to his side ( which is highly probable).

We were in that situation almost 20 years ago and we got weakened by those inner divisions and Taef showed up, i wonder what will we have left now ..

Please stop diluting the discussion and presenting it in a simplistic manner. Having more than one candidate forces the HA to chose one of the “least” abrasive one; instead of chosing either/or…It is a good strategy keeping HA off balance. Your logic is not sound. March 14 has said we will agree on one. Nassib and Boutros have so announced. So where do you see the problem? Even HA tried to emulate this strategy by announcing that they have more than one candidate,,,

I think it’s a good thing that M14 has several candidates, because they’re putting out a bunch of candidates that they would agree on and M8 has to pick one.

If the Christians should unite that means the minority of the Christians should be willing to follow the majority of the Christians’ leader until things change.

It is strange how most of the Christians want the Christians to unite yet NONE accepts the “other” leader!

    Really strange …

    Shame shame shame

Everone has talked about reforms , and all sides say they want them . But so far nothing has been agreed upon LA PRESIDENT WLA 7OUKOUMEH..

Despite the fact that christians are on both sides of the conflict , there is nothing christians about U.S strategic politics in the mid-east . And bcoz of that , most christians should be standing behind their GENERAL where they really belong . But, in case they continue to ignore the real threat , they will be the primary losers just like their fellow chaldeans brothers in iraq .

At last , take action now by electing GMA for president . Otherwise , what would another 30 days accomplish that couldnt get done in the past 10 yrs? Nothing but delyas . Gma for good .

    Thank you
