I already posted how Compromise will only weaken the Christians, and apparently we are going this way.

Jumblatt’s latest attitude says it all, he knows only the army can protect him if a war erupts and wants to stay on the safe side while preserving his M14 principles, and Hariri doesnt mind any president ( as long as he is not pro-Syrian) and Aoun is still stubborn and refusing to sit and talk on another candidate than himself ..

Most rumors are saying Sleiman is gonna be president, and what a fatal mistake that is … ANOTHER ARMY GENERAL !!!

That will go down as M14 biggest failure in 2 years and a major drawback for Christians.

I cant believe we are picking a past syrian ass-licker as our next president.

I totally agree with you. I wish it is just a maneuver to persuade Aoun and let him see that someone else might become a president. Maybe he’ll back off from presidency and choose to have a bigger share in the new government with a president that is not pro-Syrian. If it is not a maneuver, these guys have failed us.

The US invites Syria to the conference and adds the Golan Heights to the agenda, Syria attends hoping for some benefits, the Iranians watch worried and we are left for the dogs!

Who cares if he’s a past Syrian ass-licker? As long as he’s weak and useless, Hariri gets to keep his economic interests… Jumblat stations in the middle… Hezbollah is not worried about disarment… Aoun and Geagea cannot tolerate any sided candidate and the Christians are divided and weak as usual…

Bottom line: Nothing new really… We are scewed again!

Please say Dawlit El Ra2ees Michael Aoun.

The mad man got appointed and got kicked out and deserted the army and he still refers to himself as
Dawlit El Ra2ees Al Imad Michael Aoun.

He should be called “Samahat el Harban Lahwis Teez Aoun”

Michael el Murr is branching out as well as Berri and they will do that in favor of Michael Sleiman as he is neutral.

Most of our army is 1/2 syrian ass lickers/ syrian agents and the other 1/2 are aoun supporters who still beleive he didnt leave them on 13 October and believe he loved french coffee.

I think its a manouver and soon enough Aoun wil reject it and they will end up electing whoever they want.

I think it is too early to call this a disaster. It could be a good cop/bad cop game to trap 3awn. If it is not a game, then, it is a disaster. We never had a good experience with the Army: Lahoud? 3awn? Shehab, godfather of the Deuxieme Bureau? The guys cannot function in a democracy. Suleiman’s brother in law is also Syrian working for Assad!

  • 9. الله لا يردّك | November 28th, 2007 at 10:49 pm

    And not only!

3adilo soury!!!! head of the intelligence of Assad.

No god please let’s don’t do this mistake.

maybe we deserve this with our fucking politicians min geagea w gerr….ta yelhak Joumblat.

    Guys!
    We need Choices!
Any General would be a bad choice but between no president at all and having a general as president I choose having a president and between Aoun and Slaimen I choose Slaimen.
Ben el Khara will AKhra ……..

shi bida77ik wi7yet alla, inno come on guys ,every politician in lebanon has more than 2 faces, let’s start with jumblat, does anyone of you guys remember his famous sentence(el mookhtara is the gate of damascus)?, hariri if he had the chance in 2004 and elected ghattas khoury the syrians would have stayed 30 more years and aoun out and geagea down, LF consider HA the major problem in lebanon while in 2005 elections no one had the guts to mention that, aoun considered HA as terrorists while now he has the famous memorendem with them and they are more than tanjara w le2it ghataha, guys life for those people carries on and on while our lives stopped in their door gates, please wake up,

    Dear N10452,

You are committing a fatal mistake … we all agree that GMS was a Syrian puppet but between destroying Lebanon and having him as president i prefer the second option … in 4 years we will have the majority of the Christian votes , and we will elect a President this time with a Flavor. Patience is a virtue and i thing DSG learned that in Prison … If we impose a President we ALL loose if they impose a President we All loose . Let’s elect him i am sure that he will be better than Hrawi or Lahoud , he doesn’t look to be a tyrant he’s more ”bassit” it’s sad but at least he’s inoffensive ..

14 mars is burning suleiman for good ha & aoun will never accept him

  • 14. mikel | November 29th, 2007 at 3:46 am

    Sicario

When lahoud first came we also though he was gonna be useful.

But after a short while during his presidency, we realized that no good was gonna come from him.

Remember when Mel7em Baraket sang him that song and then appologized for it?

    Sleiman’s history is a copy of lahouss’s.

  • 15. lady hawk | November 29th, 2007 at 1:01 pm

Well let’s all admit it, WE Lost, and the martyrs that were killed in bombings died FOR NOTHINGGGGGGGGG,we deserve not Only Michel Sleiman, But we deserve Orange head Michel Aoun too. we,Christian, are always used to be get on our knees, we do not deserve to Live in FreeDom. And The futur President shows that clearly, inno why to fight for over than 2 years when they will accept A syrian President? they dragged us and the whole country in a Flat Line , why? I am sorry but Our leaders FAILED USSSSSS.

N10452, Christians sabotage themselves for nothing actually. Such a shame. I read a decent piece on World Security Network front page about Lebanon: “Since the ’70s, the Christians are in the habit of continuously weakening their position. It is grotesque, but they fight tooth and nail to accomplish this goal.” Looks like it.
