Why we lost a war ??
Posted by N10452Written by cedars.
I was at a friends house few minutes ago and I saw on LBC with May Chidiac broadcasting her episode from the Tomb of Hariri. She had families of martyrs, …. .
Then it hit me, Christians, LF, deputies, supporters, members and their leaders are ready and calling for going to the Darih, to Sahet el Shouhada in memory of Hariri. Yet they do not go to Ilige where hundreds of our martyrs are there. Not only they do not go, but they fight those who every year celebrate a mass there.
They wonder how we lost a war. If you keep wondering, read above one more time. If you still do not understand eh sitin sine 3lek/3leykeh hal adiyeh.

What war?
Who’s confronting who?? Lebanese vs. Lebanese?
Are you out of your ********** mind!!!!
I swear I read your above paragraph several times. The word Ilige dosen’t exist in English. Then I figured it was French, or a Lebanese dialectic word. nope.
I am Maronite and hell proud of being unique in the Middle East, I go to Hariri’s tomb every Summer and Christmas!!
I liked Hariri Before his death. I realised what he has done in his era while he was alive. We always complained - look at us now. We’re at a new all time low.
Thanks to ‘them’, the ‘others’,the ‘misachievers’, the other Lebanese. They don’t love Lebanon as much as we do. And We will Fight them, to prove to them, that yes, we love Lebanon more.
This is called the Pathetic Fallacy!

Harriri his not important then other people, don’t forget guys and go back in time and remember the early 90,The main plan for him to distroy christian he keept Dr Geagea in Jail, and general aoun in France, regardless if you like them or not, we all know when money involve it distroy everything , the guy he used to buy people, we all know that and I feel sorry for someone doesn’t, do u think he rebuild beirut from his own pocket.No..this our money ,guys please be fair his not better then sheik Bashir or other beople we lost, keep in mind till last day before he die he was talking about good relation with syria, and don’t forget his Pro saudi and we all know who used to support Muslim against us,,money talk my friend they guy is gone, I feel sorry for him, but this is not end of the world.. Not fair to talk about someone his already dead, but let me tell u I never like this guy neither his sun and keep in mind this is has nothing to do if I like 14 March or not, there is good people all over, but for me i prefer syria then saudi arabia, because look where all teh terrorist come from, and look how much the saudi spent money to build jama3 all over the world,, any way i am tired of all of them ,,yalla take care and god bless everyone. regardless..

That french idiot isn’t worth mentioning. Even though I agree that I am sick and tired of imposing this celebration on all the Lebanese, and even though I agree that Sheikh Bachir has done much more for Lebanon then anyone ever will, the guy’s opinions are extremist.
He thinks of himself quite highly, and likes to think of himself as someone on the in and in the know, while he is a she7ad like most of the people who share his opinions.
Cedars, I agree with you completely.

Hello to all Love this Site and all the news and information keep up the good work, Just wanted to ask a question regarding March 14 event, I over heard in the Coffee Shop tonight that our March 14 Leaders were not going to be at the Martyrs Square Thurseday and that they were going to broadcast Live from a different location for security reasons. Does anyone have any information regarding this, is it true? I would hate to not see any of our leaders there I mean after all we have put up with in the end we are giving up because of fear? Please update any information please. Thanks Take Care to all I wish all the best.

What common ground do I share with my political alliance ??? This is the first question you should be asking yourselves.
I had had no idea what it meant to see you standing behind KSA or its agent in lebanon (saad). This is why you lost the war. KSA does not match your plans.

Every time has its man. Don’t discredit people and please learn to appreciate. Visiting Rafik Hariri’s tomb is just a small appreciation to the guy. It doesn’t stop you from paying respects to other martyrs. Be positive. God bless Lebanon.

14. Ziad | February 13th, 2008 at 1:20 pm
The death of Hariri united “most”Lebanese for the first time in Lebanon’s history against a foreign occupier. This unity lead to the withdrawal of the Syrian occupiers and was a major step towards complete sovereignty and independence. And if Cedars or any other smart ass cannot see how Syria is trying to regain control over its golden goose, then I agree, sitteen sennen 3al adieh.Still more to be done and tomorrow’s gathering is another major step towrds the ultimate goal. If we feel that this occasion is not important for us Christians, then let’s not waste more time and blood and ask Syria to come back and rule us again, or let’s do what Aoun has done and ask for “protection” from Nasrallah and live dhimmis for the rest of our lives.

That’s your point of you view N which I totally understand, but for once we need to look to things beyond our religion and sect.
Lebanon is not for Christians or for Muslims, its for Lebanese first and we can practice our religion later each at his own will.
Hariri might have not been as great to you as Bashir was, but from a long list of people who effected the history of our country, very few bought PEACE and he was one of them.
The rest paid for war and made their fortunes from war and nothing can help them get back on their feet but another war.
ex: Hassan Nasrallah or Michael Aoun or Nabih Berri to name a few.
Valentine is still Valentine, even if 1/2 the population dies on feb 14, we will still go out and give a rose to our beloved ones and enjoy a nice dinner.
To George: Our country and its fortunes and its peak power in mid 60s and 70s relied on the Gulf countries and mainly Saudi Arabia. You hate them or think they are trying to dominate, then live with it since without the Gulf we are useless as a country.
Most of the money in our banks and the tourist come from the gulf.
most of our workforce is in the gulf.
most of our investments come from the gulf.
KSA is not trying to spread their fanaticism or fundamentalism outside as they are trying to fix things for themselves first.
If you don’t know the difference between someone who helps you and someone who wants to steal you, then go please and open a company in Syria and apply for their passport.
