Suleiman is a “compromise” president and the only one that is somewhat accepted by all sides. The idea of his candidacy is to bridge the differences b/w all parties which is not very realistic but the best option available at this time, certainly better than 50+1 which would trigger a series of irreversible and damaging events to the country. The major obstacle is the syrians who are wary of Suleiman’s position on a lot of things and want guarantees for the opposition…which is why we still do not have a president.

the problem of this blog is that each person that doesn’t have the same opinion is immediately taxed as ”Aounist” .. what i am saying is that Sleiman is a transition president … hoping that we will have a PRESIDENT next time ….
