  Abou Choud is indeed a very nice guy, and his words prove it.
  Paul also a big thanks to you for posting it.

  But, and this “but” always come when we speak about the FPM Aounist followers, because as much as you talk and try to convince them and give them proofs and evidence of the contradiction in their General statements, as well as his deadly mistakes, as long as they are more stuburn refusing to see the truth.
  I think the better way is let them burn in hell, and when they do, no one will be able to help them or even helpo himself, since the country will be already burnt and empty.

  Last, thank for N10452 for your great postings, and ur great Blog, we ask all people, especially the 8th of March supporters, to be thankful for this blog which is giving them a space to express themselves, and the freedom to say everything, a freddom they miss even in their own backyards.

  Finally, Aoun is a traitor for Christians and should be cursed from this community.

  First of all, Aoun by naming someone from his political movement against president Gemayel has proven himself a low life person.

  Second, we should have an election because we want to see how the Metnis are loyal to their martyrs who have fought the syrian occupation and the palestinian hegemony. Al kataeby wil ouwatji al metni 7erab bi mukhtalaf al jibhat 3ala ard lebanon.

  If the orangist won, or Amine gemayel won with a range less than 1-20,000 votes more than Kareem khoury then I’ll spit on the country for having such blinded ” Christian” citizens.

  Bro let me tell you that you and all our brothers from LF never stop cursing Michel Aoun and the Aounist.By cursing Aoun and making fun of him we will never unite the christian.You said in an earlier post:”Aoun is reviving history yet again by destroying any chances of uniting the Christians”.Maybe you are right about it but you have to know by cursing Aounist and making fun of Aoun in your posts with all my respect to you it is you who refuse to unite the christian.Please admit for once that if you lie it or not Aoun is a very strong christian leader he is very important for the good of christian he is working hard to help Lebanon and christian as well as Samir Geagea please consider that i am not a aounist i am telling the situation as it is.Can you imagine the two strongest Lebanese Christian parties united?If someday it will happen it will be for the good of Lebanese christian who are starting to fell that they’re weak.

  about the only reason i can think of that people are so stubbornly following Aoun is that he tries to have a party that crosses the sectarian divides that plague lebanon.

  create a better secular party that can protect the interests of all communities without being exclusive to one of them and his party will vanish.

  just dont make it a party based around a leader. that is the weakness of all the lebanese parties.

  Ya guys. Aoun’s power came when some people were fed up with the LF. in general and Geagea in particular. Everybody in Lebanon loves and respects the army. He came as a strong army man and he said the right things to the people. Just like when Lahoud became president, do you remember how the people were happy and how he was liked when he went to basketball games and stuff. Now we are spitting on him. ENOUGH WITH MILITARY. We had three army men in our recent history. Chehab’s days were good but ruled by the moukhabarat which we don’t want anymore. Aoun’s years were a disaster and we are still paying for them. No need to mention Lahoud’s years and years because I am sure most people remember those unlike most of the aounists new generation who were little toddlers in 89…
  Ask any aounists why he follows Aoun and a group of them will tell you that we don’t like Geagea, mish ma3rouf ar3to min wein. Some are from the Jabal and blame him for the loss there. Some are people who were were put aside by the LF when Geagea took power. So again I say like many times before: People like Aoun because they do no like Geagea. How many can speak about Aoun’s agenda and future plans, if he has any other than being president? Unfortunately for us, we are a bunch of stubborn people who find it difficult to change opinions for fear of looking weak and even when we see mistakes we find excuses for them. And because of that, we are stuck following 2 guys only. We have so many christian people worthy of having followers and having a party. Why did we decide that only Aoun and Geagea represent us? It’s like growing up watching Football and always deciding between Brazil and Germany. Well this problem is solved and as i noticed in the last World Cup people supported France and Italy and Holland and England. So if we are able to do that in Sports we should be able to do it in Politics. When your party makes mistakes you should stand up and take a stand. This is why we vote. This is why democracies work and we will never be a democracy.
  Enough for now.

  I have one place to thank. Dubai. As I noticed from previous replies, so many live there including myself for the last 10 years. If we didn’t have that place we will all be starving or killing each other in Beirut.

  Now , you are leaning backward coz amin jameyl made a huge mistake by PUSHING himself as a candidate ! This is not how you manage politics; HE should not be using the EMOTIONAL weapon in this battle. Dealing with our emotions is a very complex process that requires a lot of effort in order to achieve a win-win battle. A.G is going to lose this battle. Results are going to be hard on him. Then what? Is he going to kill Pierre twice? Is he going to resign?

  General Michael aoun is doing the right thing. This is politics; we live in a democratic state where we can elect our own leaders (elections) not Mexico or Venezuela where religion influence is controlling the whole entire country. Brotherly advice; get over this old Lf mentality and look forward in the future. Our(lebanese) diversity (religions) is our value that we must keep in order to achieve a great Lebanon.

  Time for challenge, and now you are running away from it by attacking our general in order to cover your permanent failure. Let the Christians feel comfortable in their own areas by electing their real representative (72%) and then, they WILL tend to stay in Lebanon.

  Enough of your excuses coz we are so sick and tired of hearing the same orchestra by you (lfers) , time for change , time for a patriotic leader to lead our diversity . Time for Michael aoun. Bring it on !!! Ne7na rab al ma3rik .

  I think Johnny answered ur questions, and i won’t add to what he said, but i just want to analyze this 72% u’re all talking about.

  72% = FPM, Murr, Armenians, Kawmieh etc…
  FPM: including some ordinary people, who can and did change according to conditions, of other people who only hate LF and especially SG for being put aside so they will follow any other leader for the same reason, and the true followers and supporters of Aoun. I can personally give them for the moment not more than 20% of the Metn voters.
  MURR: who dominates most of the Municipalities and have a big margin of movement among people while using his money, can have an influence on about 25% who are related to him with personal interests and previou business backgrounds. He could also use the votes of those who were given nationality, do u remember???
  ARMENIANS: who represent 20% of the voters, will follow their leadership decision not Aoun decision, so if they decide to stay neutral tey will, or otherwise they will vote according the decision taken.
  KAWMIEH: who follow Syria, have a big base in Higher Metn, and mainly represent about 10%.
  so u have 15 + 25 + 20 + 10 = 70% mainly close the 72% u’re talking about.

  On the other side, Kateb abd LF represent the pure 30%, and they are all Christians and believers, which mean by a simple process, the double of the Aounist. And these are very humble percentages, so if u were saying let the Christians elect their own leaders, it means u’re supporting Amine Gemayel without knowing, and thanks for that.
  U will tell me now that ur Michel Aoun is patriotic, ok but we’re talking about a pure Christian battle here, where Sunnis (2652) Shias (3966) Druze (2142) and Alawiyin (183), all represent about 5.5% (8943) of the total voters (162950), so we sure should look at it from a christian perspective.

  Accept the fact that Kataeb is not what it used to be in the 30’s or the 70’s ,and LF’s is not as strong as it was back in the militia days.It’s time for change ,it’s time for the others to rule ,Gemayel family brought goods and bads to the christians ,and in Metn those 70% are saying NO for that.

  By the way i have the 2005 elections results in Metn and the majority of the muslims ,including the Shia voted against Aoun’s block.
  And Rodge ,how do you know that those 30% are all believers?And what the hell does it have to do with the results?

  by saying it’s time for change and the others to rule, u’re acknowledging that the whole issue is a matter of who will rule, starting from the Presidency to the Parliament, not the interest of the people.
  You also said 70% are saying NO for that, i don’t agree with you, because those 705 have various reasons, while the other 30% are believers because they have the same reason, they are looking at this battle as a battle for preserving their rights and their true representation.
  more than 20 PM for Aoun in the Parliament, and yet none of them has represented any draft since 2 years now, they’re only attacking the Government and the corruption, without really giving any evidence or even pointing at some issues, while theie allies are the ,ost corrupted people.
  And who told you that the LF are not strong as they were backdays?? u’re worng in that, becuase they are much stronger now, within the Christian community and other communities. In the days of the Militia, as u said, people were simpythazing with the LF because they saw in them the real defenders of the Christians and the country, now they are supporting them because they noticed their logical proposals and their fear for the country, despite the existence of many movements. Even the Aounist are LF by heart, and believe me the Lebanese Forces will stay forever, while others will fade in time. LF has lost many leaders, Bashir a Martyr for all the country, and Samir was jailed for 11 years and for the whole country as well, yet the LF is still alive and well alived indeed.

  Last, u said Gemayel family brought GOOD and bad to the country, but what about Aoun, what is the good he brought??? nothing. Till now, he wasn’t able to bring anything good, nor to Christiansm neither to others, in fact he only brought us destructions, divisions, and failures, and as long as u’re following him, u’ll achieve nothing. At least Gemayel family gave us 2 martyrs, gave us Bashir who will be forever the best Lebanese and Arab leader, may his soul and Pierre’s soul with the rest of our Martyrs rest in peace.

Reports said a citizen was killed and 4 others were wounded after some thugs from Ghazieh entered the town last night and made some troubles. Anyone have further information about that??

  We should differ between Shias as a whole, and between HA and Amal. It’s time to acknowledge, as Johnny B said, that this warakat tafahoum has contributed a lot in worsening the situation in Lebanon. We already knew that, and it’s been a long time we’re trying to convince the FPMers of that, but now they should realize that the ideology of HA could not fit with the Christians lifestyle. Ok, we can live in the same country, while everyone is following the lifestyle and the customs he want, but to be allies and have the same objectives, and stay in the same location with all the contradictions, this can’t be done.
  On the other hand, the Ideology of the Sunnis, or Shias, or Druze, who are in the 14th March, is very well close, whether in lifestyle or in Politics, or in looking for a peaceful, Prosperous country, with a very good economy and many opportunities.

  That’s the real difference between the 14th of March ally, and the 8th of March ally. There is nothing in common between the components of the latter, except the relation with Syria, and it’s not me who’s saying that, it’s PM Marwan Fares, one of the Kawmieh PM the syrian dog who said it today in Kuwaiti Al Anba’ Newspaper.   I really don’t understand you. Are u against Shias?? i was defending them for once, but u’re not, and u’re putting them all in one basket. When i said don’t say Shias, i knew that 90% and maybe more are with HA nad Amal, but i was trying not to be sectarian and keep the conflict purely political. I have many Shias as friends, and i know they are good people, but it’s not their mistake if those thugs from HA and Amal are used to launch attacks on the Christian areas, namely Ain Remmaneh. But since their asses were kicked off many times in Ain Remmaneh, so they now tried a peaceful town in the south, but the people there will beat them after all, w ma biso7 ella sa7i7
