  I understand your anger and u’re right in saying that Ishac paid the price, but what anger can do to change things?
  I think the rest said by Hakim was appropriate at this time. This is politics, and frankly i didn’t see anything wrong in his statements.

  Quit whining ya rafi2. What do you want DSG to do? Cry foul and start a new feud with the Frangieh clan? Create more divisions within this already badly divided christian community? Yes, a young LF man was killed, but so did marada lose one of their own as well. This is not good for anyone, and it is better to cool passions now before things get worse. I thought his speech was well delivered and called on exercising restraint and wisdom rather than resorting to the violent and bloody tactics of the past that have done nothing to help the christian cause.

  تقدم رئيس الهيئة التنفيذية في القوات اللبنانية الدكتور سمير جعجع من أهل بيار اسحق بأحر التعازي، ورأى ضرورة التحلي بالكثير من المسؤولية، واعلن انه اثر الحادث اتصل برئيس الجمهورية والحكومة ووزيري الدفاع والداخلية وقائد الجيش، كما اكد ان ما حدث ليس عملاً سياسياً ويجب ان يصار الى منع السلاح والتجمعات الحزبية حتى إشعار آخر.
  واضاف:”نحن لا نقبل على الإطلاق أي تهديد يوجه الى النائب فريد حبيب والى أي مسؤول قواتي وفرنجية يعرف أننا لا نمشي أبدا بمنطق التهديد ولا نرضخ له”.
  وعبر جعجع عن عدم “فهم الربط بين الحادث الذي حصل وبين افتراض وجود مشكل بين بشري وزغرتا الزاوية فنحن نعمل من أجل مصلحة جميع اللبنانيين ولا يحاولن أحد وضعنا في مواجهة أهل زغرتا فنحن منهم ولهم ولا فرق بين أهل زغرتا وأهل بشري.”
  ورأى جعجع ان الإشكال في بصرما ليس وليد ساعته بل عمره أشهر وكنت أرسلت رسائل الى فرنجية طالبا منه تهدئة جماعته في بصرما تحديدا لأنهم كانوا يتعدون دائما على أعلامنا وشعاراتنا حتى لا تحصل مشاكل.
  واشار الى ان شباب “القوات” في بصرما كانوا قد تقدموا بشكوى الساعة 11 ليلا في مخفر أميون بعد تعرضهم لتهديدات وتم ارسال دورية الى المنطقة.
  وسأل كيف تم ارسال يوسف فرنجية من بنشعي وهو المسؤول عن حرس الوزير فرنجية؟ وما علاقته ببصرما؟
  واضاف أن محاولة فرنجية الايحاء بأن ثمة رابطا لما حصل بحوادث ماضية ساقط لأننا تخطينا الحرب منذ توقيع اتفاق الطائف ونحن ننظر الى الأمام لا الى الوراء
  وقال جعجع: “لا نقبل حماية من أحد لأن الدولة حمايتنا واعتبر جعجع أنهم في حال مصالحة مع الوزير فرنجية منذ انتهاء الحرب “لأننا تخطينا الماضي، ومثلما سقط له أهل فنحن سقط لنا أهل وإخوة ورفاق كثر وتخطينا الأمر من أجل لبنان ونظرنا الى الأمام”
  وعبر جعجع عن استعداد لأي مصالحة مع الوزير فرنجية لكنه لا يمكن اشتراط حضور أطراف أخرى لتثميرها سياسيا
  وقال:”لا أعتقد أن الحادث سيؤثر في القداس الاحتفالي لشهداء القوات اللبنانية فالمسيحيون واللبنانيون يراقبون الخط السياسي للقوات اللبنانية ويتابعون مسيرتها ونضالها وهم يرون كيف يسقط شهداؤها وهم سيشاركون بكثافة في القداس في 21 أيلول

  Why is it that Irslan and Jumblat can reconcile their differences and stand united in this most difficult of times (and I congratulate them) and for the maronites to stay divided. I personally applaud Dr. Samir Geagea’s position and his low tone despite all the insult that Frangieh throws at him constantly because their is no point in throwing fuel on the fire.

  I agree with you that Hakim should condemn with the strongest terms this incident.

  But there’s a very thin line between a condemning speech and an inflamatory speech that would raise tensions in the North.

  The situation in the North is always volatile, and guns are everywhere.
  We don’t want the LF to be dragged to a fight in the North, especially with elections coming up, so the FPM for example can use it to say look at the LF thugs starting fights.

  Hakim wanted to calm things down with his speech, but I think he played it too safe, and I agree with you that his speech could have been better.

  Another young man is dead. And unfortunately, I don’t think he’s going to be the last.

  geagea was right on the money, as usual (in my opinion). his tone was right, his words were right… i mean, a marada official was killed too, so there is no reason to escalate things. we stood our ground, marada has kept its distance… and both sides are committed to preventing escalation. i think those are good signs, and i say god rest the souls of BOTH who died.

  personally, i would love to see reconciliation between LF and marada. bijad. however, first, franjieh needs to be a man and offer sincere apologies for all four LFers killed by marada in recent history, and sincerely encourage his followers to accept LFers as brothers. if he did that, akeed geagea would be right there to encourage LFers to accept marada as brothers also.

  and i hope i’m not just dreaming. it’s something we should all be praying for. prayer works, guys.

  I understand you very well…What Happens to Ishak (RIP) is zoloum and it is not just about a Poster: it is very harsh to say that.(seven bullets in his back does that mean anything?)
