OTV & The Ehden Massacre Episode
Posted by N10452
OTV wants attention and the best way ( for any Aounist) is to simply fabricate stories on the LF & Samir Geagea and accuse it of crimes it did not commit or victimize and portray themselves as angels while tothers are ruthless criminals.
A whole episode on the Ehden Massacre in 1978 where they brought families of the victims (very objective & scientific approach) and Karim Pakradoni whom i call the “prostitute” because thats what he has been doing since ever in politics.
Added to that, An opportunity arose for Hezbollah to deepen the hole in the Christian ranks wou tkabbir el khasse bi rass Frangieh ..
“When we come to Ehden to stand by Minister Sleiman Frangieh and his family, we want to declare that real national representation is not complete without Ehden, the great Christian region with the shining national Lebanese history,” Raad stated
We cannot but congratulate Aoun on finding new means everyday to divide the Christians further and remind them of their ugly past, noting that Aoun was side by side with the Kataeb only two years before the Ehden massacre occured and was back then close to them still (and got promoted after that in the army by a recommendation from Bashir).
Back to the massacre itself, Here are some undisputed facts that should shut everyone accusing the LF, Samir Geagea or Bashir Gemayel of the crime.
- There was no LF back then in 1978.
- Samir Geage NEVER got to Ehden, he was shot before and taken away to the hospital.
- Frangieh & his family were killed way by the time Hakim was arriving.
- Syrians had checkpoints all over the road leading to Frangieh’s house.
- Kataeb report assumed Frangieh was in Rabieh on that day not in Ehden. (official report)
- Tony Frangieh was making a historical reconciliation with the Lebanese Front days before ( a big upset for the Syrians).
One last remark though, I strongly urge the Kataeb & LF parties to organize episodes and conferences on the assassinations Marada supporters were committing against Kataeb supporters in the North and the brutal murder of Joud el Baye3, a regional chief in the Phalanges back then.
Fight propaganda with the truth & more propaganda. Dont fight it wich offensive replies in the papers.
PS: ( I have the whole story if anyone is interested, as narrated by Samir Geagea in his memories)

N,my understanding is that there was a major power struggle going on between Bashir and Tony. Sleiman was behind it as well, seeing himself as the leader of the christians back then..it was basically a way for Bashir to address Tony’s abusive tactics against the Kataeb in the north and to unify all christians under the Lebanese Front movement, but of course the Syrians acted quickly to prevent this from happening and in turn opened up a rift b/w the Frangieh clan on the one hand and that of the Leb. Front on the other. It is no secret that Bashir wanted to teach Tony a lesson…but things got out of control and with Syria’s tacit knowledge, the “massacre” took place. It is probably one of the great tragedies to hit the Christians during the early years of the war.

Yeah ok, it was ugly.. but Necessary.
Without proper Christian unity, the front could not be maintained.
Now was Frangieh a true victim??
I don’t think that the majority of the Christian street would have supported Bachir if thy didn’t trust him. And Frangie was close, too close to Assad to be left to interfere in the fight against palestinians and Leftists.
I think that it had to be done.

VOR,
The problem is that even Frangieh doesnt dare open the case and reveal the truth because it will harm him and discredit him …
Bashir was clear from the start that you cannot have many militias .. its not like politics .. uniting the militias was essential however it failed when the mission turned into a massacre perpatrated by many sides i must say … and i never count the Syrians out of it ..

I was waiting for a long time for a post like that one .
Thank you N
Every time Otv or the aounist or anyone else attacks the lf with lies, they make me happy , because the more they attack us the more we get stronger ,
like DSG once said if they attack one of us we gain two if they attack two we gain ten and the ten becomes a hundred then a thousand etc….
But i still wonder why doesn’t anyone reveal the real identity of Aoun , I have many videos that shows aoun real face , and i am sure that the lf and others have tones of videos and documents that can destroy him so what are they waiting for ?
7. VOR | June 20th, 2008 at 11:07 pm
Well…without Bashir’s vision of christian unity and his decisive leadership, the majority of christians would have been divided and weak at the time…that’s why the Lebanese Forces were created! This type of leadership is greatly missed today.

Kouwatje,
The only way you can make Aoun gain popularity is by playing his game .. he s good at propaganda while we are not .. so unless u know how to play it, do so ..
In my opinion, if u ignore Aoun and dont mention him from time to time, you ll be destroying him slowly .. because he ll want attention and he ll get it then by doing mistakese all over the place ..
I have tons of article and videos on Aoun that can expose him .. but what for ?

War was ugly. What bachir ordered and started we paid the price for it when Geagea continue the path of killing other christians opponents to take their place or not allowing them to challenge him.
What is sad is that Frnajieh forgave Geagea and who ever killed his father and yet the LF w Geagea byinshro harimo.
What is worst than all this the Geagea excuse, I was shot before reaching the ehden palace, thus I have nothing to do with it. How funny and ad at the same time. Like telling someone I was going to kill you but your bodyguards got me but my men did the job, but I have nothing to do with it.
What if Geagea wasn’t injured.
What is also sad is how the Kataeb is not accused by this crime. It was a Kataeb decision, a Kataeb team,… and yet they stick it to the LF.

N u said Fight propaganda with the truth & more propaganda, and thats what should happen bt one problem, on which channel? LBC are trying to promote themselves as neutrals bcz pierre l daher wants $$$ and they would not show a counter episode of ehden masacre.. Add to that he is one of franjiehs close friends nowadays.. Future Tv won’t put an episode of civil war on! our weakness is that we don’t have a station, while L’orangists have orange tv, manar, new tv, nbn brainwashing people all day..

Jim,
You dont really need tvs to make a propaganda .. u can do it in several ways and means .. the important is to have a strong team, a professional team to do it properly and keep the party’s credibility intact !

I am glad you wrote about this unfortunate incident. Here is my opinion and i might be wrong but i would appreciate it if people would reply politely without cursing or anything.
Samir Geagea was shot at the entrance of Ehden. In from of the Frangieh palace. He didnt make it to the palace itself. There was lots of blood before the massacre itself as each side wanted to control the north. The sad part is that both sides were more concerned about Chekka and the eternite company than the christians themselves. The syrians did have checkpoints along the way but the Kataeb (LF didnt exist back then) found their way with the help of a syrian officer who was later sent back to Syria. Lets not hide behind our finger, the Kataeb killed Tony Frangieh. I am not a Frangieh supporter but i strongly blame both sides for the massacre. I also blame OTV big time for bringing up such issues and creating more divisions within the christian community. It is time for reconciliation not division. Another sad part, we, the christians, are so ruthless and criminal when fighting each other, Ehden massacre, Safra, Aoun-Geagea, and the many massacres the Frangieh gang committed. I am not with any side. We really should have new educated leadership. Lets send Geagea, Gemayel, Aoun, Frangieh to hell and have a new leadership that will be totally in line with Bkirki. Amal and Hizballah killed each other in the hundreds and yet you dont see a TV station creating an episode about it. We really should work on reconciliation and not division. Kataeb killed Tony Frangieh in a brutal and barbaric ways, Frangieh gang also killed many kataeb in barbaric ways as well. We should really forgive and not forget, learn from our mistakes and know that as long as we are so divided we will remain weak….very weak.

God bless the LF, its leader and all of its sons .. 10452, Bachi 7ay fina, wel Hakim 3am yefdina

The more Aoun uses propaganda the more he is declaring his political bankruptcy.
As N mentioned above, the best way of fighting that insect (Aoun) is to completely ignoring him.
How low can this man get, and how blind can his followers be?
16. Rambo | June 22nd, 2008 at 9:07 am
Blaming Aoun will not change history and wash away the fact that crimes were done by Christians in the name of Christianity and the christian community.
As franjieh said the other day, khaye nihna sema7na bas badak yali semahne yi’bal el mousemaha.
17. Leb4Life | June 22nd, 2008 at 11:40 pm
khayi Rambo ..
the ppl u are dealing with in this blog are christians by name only . they claim to defend the christians but at the same time they were the ones who destroyed them . their wars destroyed the christians . they can not mention one war that was a benefit to us . not even one war . all what they did and still do is for one reason: destroy lebanon. this is their hakim’s aim and they follow him blindly and think he is a saint .
i suggest u stop wasting ur time with them. they are hopeless cases.

Tss, tss, 7aram hablé4life!!
Just one question then u can go back to ur medication?
Who declared and started “7arb el Igha’a”?
Who were the 2 parties fighting?
How did the Christians benefit from it?
Funny to hear from an Orange talking about worshiping and following a person?
U’ve certainly made me laugh today!
Therefore cheers!
