New Year’s eve & Road Accidents
Posted by N10452This has been an outgoing problem since ages, and still no one is giving it any attention …
I went to Faraya 3 times in the past 2 weeks, the road is just horrible … lots of works on the sides or even in the middle of the road, lousy roads, bumps, potholes everywhere ( and not just any potholes, big immense ones that will mess up your whole car not just the tyres).
A large percent of the youth spends New Year’s eve at Faraya, renting chalets and spending 2 or 3 nights up there.
A large number of them as well comes back late at night after the party to drive their gfs or simply to get back home.
The rate of accidents on that night in late hours is very high and most of them are deadly ones.
The simplest thing to do is to put signs and bumps to keep the cars from going too fast on such dangerous roads, it costs nothing and will save tons of lifes ..
I am sure this will go as another lost case i post about, but i cant help not seeing how wrong this is and not point it out ..
The simplest things could save people’s lives, and no one bothers considering them ..
I am seriously considering wasting my next new year to set up road signs and slow down signs and awareness campaigns for the New Year’s weekend …

It’s Lebanon,
people’s lives have no value, no one cares if you die.
Good thing to see at least you care.

I hope less car accidents happen.
Last year a girl died due to carbon. fa77amo. People should be careful about that too.

Any solutions instead of nagging about it???? We need solutions not repetition …
To the educated ones in here, ( othello, 10452, ali1559 , rodge, deltaa and others) bring us solutions for once…

NR: How about finding someone who knows the contractor and find a way to contact him and see what he needs to get it done.
Maybe we can all chip in a little money and help him move his a$$$ if the muni are not paying him enough.

Is it up to us ? I wish it was …
Still , the leb gov should consider the following steps ( you can call it solution if you want) :
* Reducing the speed limit to 55 mph instead of 65 if im not mistaken..
* Traffic crashes are the leading cause of death for people ages 5-35 in lebanon , so why not doubling the traffic fine for ppl speeding for the hell of it ? Economy is bad and ppl have no money to play around with ..
* Points added to our license (as lebanese) every time we avoid or disobey a traffic policy. This will make us pay the heavy price and think twice b4 flying on the high way…
thakn you N.R..

ALi 1559 i have questions if u feel offended do not answer and let me know .
Q1: i always wondered : if u guys hate america thta much what do u live here in the state man ? honnestly go live in Iran would not be better and feel like u are with your people.
Q2: in previous comments u proclaim that you are a christian but stilll wanna vote for Obama, hilary clinton or jhon edwar, where none of these candidate is Pro life wish is against your christian beleif?

Delta
First of all , let me tell you this buddy, an attitude is nothing more than a personal thought process. It may be impossible to stop someone from thinking prejudical thoughts, but all I have to do is to deal with it and sometimes correct it if possible. In my position, I am not going to be offended by your words anymore , but I’ll always keep in mind what kind of people the lebanese forces are. No offense…
*(answer1) I dont hate america , why should I ? But, I strongly dislike the TERRORIST republican regime (the one destroyed my homeland last summer). Delta, I dont have to go live in iran ( i am not farrisi
habibi) im lebanese and i belong in lebanon where you also belong. In fact, my ppl are the majority of the lebanese ppl (both chiaa and fpm) when yours are leaving by the dozens every day without even thinking of coming back!!! It is really sad to see this happening, and whose to blame ? GMA, right?
* Where did I call myself a christian????? I dont remember myself doing that! Still, I am going to answer your question out of respect only, here is my point of view:
Delta, My next door neighbor is indian, the one 2 houses down the street is italian and the one across the backyard is mexican. This is the american MELTING POT where we all live 2gheter under one nation. Delta, america is not a CHRISTIAN NATION (per the american constitution ) and will never be. America is one nation under god.
One last question, are you over 40 yrs ?
