  You are absolutely right N, the cedar revolution opened a door and was indeed a golden opportunity but….we just trusted the wrong people to lead us into a bright future and now here we are back in mediocrity and full of regrets of what could have been! Perhaps when the next opportunity comes along, if it ever comes back, we’ll have the courage to not trust these old jockers and instead rely on the new generation of leaders that truly care about the future of the nation and its people first! Sounds like an elusive dream!

  I agree with you. Before the election; it seems; everyone on M14 side was under the impression that if they were to win the election that somehow things were going to change on the ground; that Aoun was going to be cured from his mental disorder; that HA suddenly was going to register as a humitarian non sectarian party…
  Off course the M8 crowd were so confident of their victory that their leader Hassan Nassrallah challenged M14 to call early elections and may the winner govern…Even Ja3far and his lesser pooch who l*i*cks at his “slippers” declared vitory before the elections…

  However, the reality has just slapped us accross the face. Ja3far is right 10% when he says it is a matter of trust..Yup. But he forgets May 7…He forgets that they have the weapons and everyone is thretened with another May 7th unless…Well we have it; a governmnet to their liking. Also, Christians are losers as their faith and fate is bing negotiated between KSA and Persia…the Sunni Shiite mini standoff is playing out in Lebanon. It seems Iraquis have more of a Character as a nation than the mercanary Lebanese!!

  It bleeds our hearts to see the once proud community of Christians torn away piece by piece in Lebanon; a lot through their own mistakes and errors…Listen to what Ja3far is saying…that “ma each group think he is threatened . look at your comment:”

  Except the Christians they sold out to mal el nazeef and the rest latched on to the sinking boat; that was filled with the grave digger from mukhtara and the Salafists remnants…

  Yalla this is enough…RIP Lebanon…

  A syrian-saudi-iranian deal: back to square one…
  Syria will arbitrate the modus vivendi between Sunnis (Saudi) and HA (Iran) on the basis of the pre-2005 basis: Hariri has upper hands in economy and finance and HA will preserve its military and intelligence apparatus. Christian and Druzes have no strateguc role in that.
  All have been negociated between Abdallah and Assad in Damascus than beween Moallem and Ahmadinajad in Teheran.

  May 7th happened because HA wanted to send a message that whatever they decide is it!! …or else a civil war whereas they can take over Lebanon in a few days (but they know they can never keep it in a civil war of attrition)…However, that would defeat their strategic purpose and that of Persia…

  You and I very well know this is an accomodation between Persia and KSA with Syria getting some crumbs as compensation in influence in Lebanon and most likely billions in Saudi petro $$$….

  Again, my friend, Christians REALLy don’t have a say….Unless they possess the deterrent (a nuke)….Go figure…

  Dialogue of the deaf will get you just there! HA has the guns but wants to run its on institutions; police force; army; charitable orgs; telephone lines; hashish stands…Also, they have ghost employees cashing out taxpayers money in state ministries…
  What will the dialogue be about? To validate all those?
  Shall I continue? lebanon is not a country! It is a bus terminal for murderers or terrorists that Arabs, Persians and Israelis use among others (remember the 70’s with the Japanese, Italian, german and of course the Palestian terrorist camps)…

  March 14 2005 will never happen again N10452. At least not in our lifetime. We missed our train big time for one simple reason: the Lebanese people listened to their so called leaders (including nasrallah sfeir) and didn’t go all the way like they really wanted to. I hate Walid Joumblatt but “lil tarikh” as he always likes to say, he was the only one willing to go all the way and got stopped by Hariri, Sfeir (especially) and all the rest. Somehow in a sick way I understand why he did his 180 degrees turn.
  And the “great lebanese people” proved his greatness once again last summer when they voted for the exact same guys responsible for this fiasco.

  danny… there is a rule in lebanon called sity wa sity mkarar .. to maintain muslim christian balance.. you cannot just throw an army of thousands of shi3as in the army.. there should be a system.. that is what tawlet al 7iwar is all about. unfortunately, many people thought that tawlet al 7iwar is to discuss the way to disarm HA. this is simply untrue . it is to discuss a strategy to protect lebanon .. let the leaders put real plans and strategies and it can include a way to get HA in the army under special units .. no problem.. i dont want my kids to go train on arms to protect their land,, i want the army to take his responasabilities

  Thank you for supporting one other till the end of this gov formation battle. Your alliance have displayed a true and patriotic stand regardless of your religious diffrences and politicall affiliations. Guided by MOU principles you were able to overcome your problems, defeated your enemy and remained strong and loyal to your cause. On the other hand, what ouwet and kateeb fail to understand is that we are a nation of Muslims, Christians and non beleivers, we are all Lebanese, we are all neighbors and family, we are all on the same boat, we are LEBANESE !! What N10452, Maximus, Danny , Theresinia and others NEED to understand that GMA DID not ally with HA and the SHIITE bcuz of their arms BUT BCUZ THEY ARE A PART of this country.

  Lack of trust is what we suffer in Lebanon , what did Hariri do to his Christian alliance ?? What did Kateeb and ouwet do to Hariri ?? This distrust in politics caused them to collpase and betray one other. They did , we did not !! FPM, Marada and others stood by HA till the last second.
