It quite amazes me how Lebanese people tend to judge in general without even making any effort in understanding the article they are reading, the person they are talking to, or in this case the blog they are examining …

A certain Nabil wrote a post about our blog entitled “The Ouwet Front : AN Outlet for the Lebanese-Forces” and portrayed the blog and readers here as blind followers and as living on the legacy of our leaders and lacking patriotism !!

I wish ya Nabil that you bothered to read some of our posts, specially the ones related to the Martyrs Mass posters that came after the Bachir post, and saw the critics directed towards the LF leadership on MANY occasions, and the harsh attacks i have done myself on this leadership and the incompetence it is showing at different levels.

This blog is a place where LFers are freely expressing their opinions and daring to critisize their leader and his decisions .. this blog is an example to follow for all other political parties and their youth …

We have been asked to close this blog several times for the bold & contraversial posts !

Nonetheless, considering how bad is the image of most political parties today in Lebanon, i might understand this opinion of his, even though he did not bother read but rather generalized on one post out of almost 2200 now !

But what i do not tolerate and will never accept is someone polluting our history and falsifying facts and showing pure ignorance to say the less ..

It is important to note the Lebanese Forces were among the first to collaborate with enemies to fight other: Sabra and Shatila massacres.

If you had bothered went through the blog, you would have found tons of info related to Bachir & the Sabra & Chatilla massacre and how the Lebanese Forces HAD NOTHING to do with it ..

The Sabra & Chatilla massacre was perpetrated by few thugs who took order from NO LF Official and were mostly Hobeika’s followers added to the Israeli soldiers led by Sharon who were there, and any educated LFer will condemn this act and will never justify why it was done ..

But it is worthy noting that i refuse that any apology be presented to the Palestinian people, not before they officially apologize for ALL the massacres they’ve done and pay Indemnities to the families ..

Finally, I am not responsable for comments published by readers, i cannot possibly monitor the tons of replies i get per day.

PS: This blog gets tons of replies because its a successful one, based on honesty and credibility, and is far from generalization and spreading lies or critisizing others falsly, maybe you should try it sometimes, maybe then you will get more than 1 reply per post, probably the only reply you ever got.

WTF is with this Nabil?? This blog is an example in how to be a leader not a follower.

N, I still remember when you got letters from LF people to close your site because of the critics you make and the alternative suggestions you give. Some visitors even called you anti-LF for some of your posts.

I just read what he wrote and the loser was commenting on a reply from one of the visitors. How much a fail is this??

I can only assume that Nabil is either a big fat LF hater or a big LOSER for writing an article about something without investigating it thoroughly.

Good one N, it’s just an example of incompetent and uneducated person that has no clue of what theyre talking about

  • 3. Rodge | September 3rd, 2008 at 7:28 pm

    N10452,

Believe he’s not worthy of a reply from you, eventhough it is ur right and duty to defend ur blog.
But since I already took a look on his so called blog, I don’t know where he came with the name of Lebanese without borders, he seems limited and bordered to searching for anything against the LF, Future and co.. He must be a blind kid who’s following some party and wanted to convince us that he’s a leader youth. Ha ha ha ha.
What a joke. I already wrote him a comment on his blog, but i don’t think he will approve it.

    Congratulations

You have to thank that Nabil for the publicity…people, if they read his article, might be curious to check your blog. This blog is very informative because it refutes a lot of accusations…

    Good work

You don’t see things as they are, you see them as YOU are.

Everything irritates you guys. You just dont accept others and this is going to lead you into more prbs with the rest of the leb ppl.

A mistake in judgment isn’t fatal, but you guys judge the majority of the leb ppl as traitors and animals while you are the ” angels of this land” ma3o 2ino al terikh dodkon 100%.

I tried to open the link to the article but it does not exist anymore

  • 9. omar | September 4th, 2008 at 5:29 am

    Right as always N.

Dont listen to what people like Nabil have to say. It’s one thing to respond to thoughtful criticism… But baseless accusations based on hatred and misunderstanding deserve no such reward.

  • 10. N10452 | September 4th, 2008 at 10:06 am

    Apparently ya Rima,
Nabil chickened out and closed his blog loool or maybe his bandwith exceeded its limits ( 2 visitors)

    Doc 1559,
Are you sure you are talking about this blog ??? how many times have i critisized the LF and pointed out their mistakes and their bad behaviors in the past ??

  • 11. Silvana | September 4th, 2008 at 10:45 am

    N,

When I checked it in the morning, he had actually written a follow up article where he gave you credit for being fair but he criticized the comments which could fuel more hatred, also there was some mention of the responses that his article provoked. The post you replied to was his first article which makes you wonder and sometimes like the adage says “Never attribute to malice that which can be adequately explained by stupidity.”… I believe his first article was not really stupid but quite naive.

  • 12. Fuziyad | September 4th, 2008 at 12:30 pm

N10452, doc 1559 wasn’t talking about you nor about the LF in general, he’s talking about the christians in general….

    Doc1559,

First of all, welcome back from ur vacation, and I hope you had fun and rested a little.

You said in ur last comment and I quote “Everything irritates you guys. You just dont accept others”.

Doc, did you hear the General yesterday calling to sue L’Orient Le Jour???
and did you hear about Iran wanting to close the Al Arabiya office in Tehran??
Do you still remember what ur people did to Future TV in Beirut in May???
Do you hear what many Aounis and Hizbis say about the 14th of March people, never wanting to hear what they have to say??
Do you know what Hizb is doing to the land owners in all the higher regions of the Jezzine Caza, forbiding them to work in their lands???
    and many many others???
what do you call what happened in January 23 and 25 last year, when people went to close the road forbiding others to go to their work or anywhere else??? what is this, accepting others??

Please, with all respect ya Ali, you should like at both sides, and I know you have the ability to think well and realize the truth wherever it is.

  • 15. Ra'fat | September 4th, 2008 at 7:52 pm

The truth is that both sides are pretty messed up. The naive followers though only see the good of their team and the bad of the other team. This applies to both sides. Honestly most Orangist follow Aoun because of their hatred to the LF and not because they have a particular cause different from the LF cause. If the LF is gone, then they would probably look at themselves and improve, but right now they are very busy hating on the LF. The same can also be said about a lot of the LF followers, they are busy hating the Orangists that they have no time to work on their own organizationn or give that any thought. Both sides are busy wasting energy hating each other instead of looking inside their own organizations and trying to improve them in a constructive fashion. And with that we are actually very similar across all parties in lebanon, what we share is the power of hate and the will to self distruct. The country can’t really grow if all we do is argue about who is right. For progress to take place, one group has to lead and the other group has to shut up, then the group that leads is judged by their results, then you reset and repeat the process again. This has nothing to do with who is right and who is wrong, it is called progress. The core problem is that in Lebanon everyone is willing to lead but no one is willing to shut up and let the other lead, hence no progress. The christians in Lebanon need to find a form of rotating power structure every four years or so. The first term the LF would lead and the rest would follow, after the four years are up, the results are judged and the power is handed off to the Orangist for them to lead for four years. That would set an example for the country to follow. Now we know that it is more probable to see a pink flying elephant thatn for that to happen, but I am willing to bet that the results of either term would be exactly the same, which leads one to think why do we waste our time argiung about topics where the outcomes do not change. This blog points out the inconsistencies no matter who is doing them. If anything it shows us that we are much more alike than we would like to think. This blog tries to analyze and rationalize which does not go very well with most people that try to emotionalize and sensationlize. It takes a leadership role (except when people try to tease each other very immaturely) in trying to review current events without following the heard, which is very difficult as the heard tends to be pretty loud and can be pretty distructive. In the end, you can educate some, but you can’t fix stupid.

  • 16. Rima | September 5th, 2008 at 3:14 am

    Good post Ra’fat

What you are saying is good on the surface but deep down the struggle is between pro-Lebanon and anti-Lebanon between patriots and khawana…Lebanon is taken away from us all piece by piece…Our country is being trashed by a bunch of Judah traitors who have been paid to crucify Lebanon…Unfortunately, HA leaders along with Aounelkhayen Wahab and the like are getting the dirty money to wreak Lebanon and sell it to the devil.understand…it is so obvious I don’t understand why educated people like you Ra’fat can’t see that the Aounis ‘attack is not just on LF but on the Patriarch, Hariri , the sunnis and all pro-lebanon…..How can we improve any political party in Lebanon if the whole country is going downhill…

  • 17. Ra'fat | September 5th, 2008 at 4:00 am

Rima, I agree with you 100%, but that is a matter of my perspective of being a supporter of the LF, and we should remember that. Change your name, and switch LF with Aoun and Hizballah with Joumblat and Harriri, and you would have the same argument but the one the Orangists give. Can’t you see the similarity? They say about us exactly what we say about them. My point is elhak el kezzeb 3ala beb el dar, either we are lying or they are and the ONLY way to find out is for one side to lead and the other side to shut up. Then and only then, one can judge from the results of the other side if they were right in their assessment or not. This is tough in a country where no one does anything and there is absolutely no motion forward. And who knows, given the chance actions might prove that we might both be wrong about each other….

  • 18. Che | September 5th, 2008 at 4:36 am

Sorry Ra’fat. I reject your argument of one leads and one follows, and watch results. This is not a scientific lab. We’re talking about the fate of our country.

Lebanon is at the verge of becoming islamized by Hezbollah with the aid of Iran that has every interest in promoting its Islamic Revolution. What does it take to see that fucking phenomenon? Do we need a PhD for that?

This islamization by Hezbollah can only take place in stages. The first stage is to have a Christian cover. Aoun is the scapegoat! On the other hand, knowing the schizophrenic Aoun when he shot at his father, it is easy to reckon Aoun’s interest in torpedoing any effort by the Lebanese Forces to protect Lebanon from this islamization led by Hezbollah.

In fact, this is what the Lebanese Forces fought for decades in order to protect Lebanon from islamization at the hands of the Sunnis aided by the Palestinians, who eventually turned around and found truth in what the Lebanese Forces fought for.

Now, and again the burden will fall on the Lebanese Forces to purge Lebanon from another PARASITE: Hezbollah. There is one solution: The Lebanese Forces MUST ARM itself to the teeth and give up any political routes. That’s called leading…

  • 19. Rima | September 5th, 2008 at 4:37 am

    Ra’fat

I see your point but if they lead they will be no Lebanon anymore that is why they should be defeated …taht is the only way.

There is nothing wrong with foreign alliance when it leads to the sovereignty of Lebanon but when it leads to its occupation and destruction as it is the case with Iran and Syria…that is anathema

  • 20. Ra'fat | September 5th, 2008 at 5:59 am

Rima, again I agree with you, but we need to understand this is what we think will happen, not necessarily what will happen, and we have sometimes been wrong in the past. So one needs to keep all that in perspective. I only argue about the Christians, because it becomes a very grey area once you get out of that, we lose everything if we lose Lebanon no matter what political affiliation we belong to. In the end, we want a strong Lebanon, and it does not really matter who gets it done as long as it gets done, that is more important than any individual or political party. I think if the Orangists end up sweeping the elections (which I doubt will happen) we need to re-evaluate our outlook on the situation, maybe we are missing something. Call me naive, but I refuse to believe that the same Christians who fought and died for Lebanon are willing to sell it, because if that were the case, what is the point of this fight? Who would we be fighting for if the majority of the Christians want to sell the country?

  • 21. Rima | September 5th, 2008 at 8:01 am

    Ra’fat

The back then majority voted for aoun as a symbol of patriotism courage and honesty…these values prove to be a facade of a rotten mind and soul.Aoun is the one selling his country because he is opportunistic…maybe he is convincing himself that he is doing the right thing…but why do you accept the dirty money and distributed on your immediate family members and proteges…if you are not a traitor…as for his followers they are blinded….and need to wake up.
Their propaganda is so effective that people like you start beleiving in it.

LF maybe committed a lot of mistakes but they never changed their principles and their respect to the Patriarch as a symbol of indepenedence since the Ottomans…Ironically, the druzes and the sunnis joined the LF and Kataeb and other patriots in their fight for free lebanon…
