The U.S.-based World Maronite Union has set up a special fund to finance the purchase of real estate in Lebanon to prevent Hizbullah from setting up a “mini Iran” in the multi-sect country.
The union, in a statement published by Kuwait’s as-Siyassa newspaper, noted that Iran has allotted 14 billion dollars to finance the purchase of property owned by Christians in south, east and Mount Lebanon to “link Shiite populated sectors with the aim of setting up the Islamic Republic of Lebanon.”
Jumblatt has already warned about those Iranian-based companies, and there were several reports by Christians on lands being purchased .. I believe Bkerke & M14 Christians should ask for further investigation on this issue and ask Christians not to sell their lands to unknown people or simply offer more money for lands in order to keep the terrorities away from the Iranians and their agents’s hands.

Too little too late. They only way you can prevent that is by a military uprising backed again by the only true ally of the Christians in the middle east, Israel.

Did you forget scheik bachir birthday?

I am afraid it is the Christians who have forgotten the sacrifice and legacy of the Scheik. Today, PSP looks much more intimidating than the LF, and this is a very sad situation. If Hassouna realized that Sadem is up and running again, he will think 100 times before doing anything stupid like making Lebanon into a mini Iran.

Finally someone is doing something about this.
The reason all these people are selling their land is because they’re broke and have to sell to make money or are sometimes offered deals too good to refuse.
We better watch out, or in 5-10 years we’ll end like palestos who sold all their land and are now living in humiliation.

The LF rearming would lead to nothing but violence.
I don’t think sadem can be sufficient to stop the level of power that HA has reached.
