  It was a disgrace. Ya 3alam we are in a mass, not watching a football game or attending a dinner.

  First , On saint Maroun’s day ,The church has to invite all politicians specially the president of the republic whoever is he and this what happened.

  On the other hand, your totally right , the way they sit is like 14 th march on the right side and 8 th march on the left side ,either they will sit all next to each other as they always did before or better they don’t come to church .

  We are inside a church where Jesus asks us to love our ennemies and where we ask God to forgive our sins.

  That picture will show how divived and how split we are . In the future maybe we will see 3 chairs on the right side and 3 chairs on the left side as we will be having 2 presidents and 2 prime ministers and 2 mp presidents.

  I still remember how Bachir used to refuse to sit in a special chair in a church. Yet Hariri got his mourning day and the Maronites get thier Ottaman mentality. The CHurch lives in 18 century.

  وفي معلومات «الحياة» أن المشكلة بدأت قبل يومين عندما أرسل البروتوكول في رئاسة الجمهورية الى البروتوكول في رئاسة الحكومة ومطرانية بيروت للموارنة، رسالة مفادها أن لحود لا يريد أن يجلس اثناء مشاركته في القداس، الى جانب رئيس الحكومة بخلاف البروتوكول الرسمي الذي يجلس بموجبه الرؤساء الثلاثة في مقدم الحضور على أن يتقدم رئيس الجمهورية رئيسي الحكومة والمجلس النيابي بضعة سنتمترات. وعزا لحود سبب عدم رغبته في الجلوس الى جانب السنيورة الى عدم اعترافه بـ «شرعية الحكومة

  وما كان من بروتوكول رئاسة الحكومة إلا أن رد على بروتوكول رئاسة الجمهورية بتأكيد حضور السنيورة واصراره على الجلوس وفق البروتوكول المتبع، إلا أن رئاسة الجمهورية ردت مجدداً بأن لحود سيجلس في هذه الحال في مقاعد المدعوين، وردت رئاسة الحكومة بالقول: «فليجلس حيث يشاء، والسنيورة سيجلس في مكانه البروتوكولي

  ونظراً الى اصرار لحود على عدم الجلوس الى جانب السنيورة، وتجنباً لجلوسه خلف السنيورة، ابتدعت صيغة جلوس كل منهما في جهة

  وجلس لحود الى اليمن وخلفه ممثل بري والسلك الديبلوماسي والمدعوون العاديون، بينما جلس السنيورة الى اليسار وخلفه الرؤساء السابقون والوزراء بمن فيهم المستقيلون فوزي صلوخ وطلال الساحلي ويعقوب الصراف. ولدى وصول لحود الى الكنيسة اتجه نحو كرسيه لكنه سرعان ما انتبه لوجود السنيورة فخطا نحوه خطوة وكذلك فعل السنيورة

  the sanioura didnt have to come if he didnt want to sit next to the president in fact if he respected at all the celebaration of mar maroun he should have went to the mass in bkirki where the patriarch was and not to the one lahoud and maintain that he does not wish to attend next to lahoud

  shami ri7it 3aouni. Lahoud did not want to sit next to the Siniora as YOU well know. As a Christain, Lahoud has always been a big disgrace so you can’t expect better from him.

  Dakhlak Mr Arze, min mehtam iza massihe wala misslim. My response to him was in regards to his comment attacking the Sanioura when you well know it was Lahoud’s idea to sit far away.
  Ana iste7i 3ala 7ali ya genious, 3am ta3ti nasa27, faked elshay2 la ye3tih… I think you should advice yourself, just because he is a Christain, it doesn’t mean I will side with him when he is obviously wrong and trying to cause trouble .
