LF & Syria in the same trench ?!?!?!?!
According to Mr.Adwan, the LF has no political problem with Hezbollah but is only worried about its weapons and more importantly, we are in the same strench as Syria against Israel ?? and with all Arabs to defend the Palestinian Cause ??
What did our martyrs die for then ? What were you doing in Tal el Zaatar back then Mr.Adwan ? defending the Palestinian Cause ?
And to top it all:

the clock is ticking; the waiting line of visitors to syria is getting longer ..
halae seriously guys.. what chouhada and cause are you talking about ? all what your leaders and representatives do care about these days is to score against GMA .. in the old days you said you were obliged to collaborate with the devil ( AVI ) to survive .. now your leaders are ready to sell there sole to win a chair …
in 2005 when harriri gave GMA his offer for the seats, GMA told him F* u, and he preferred to stay outside.. big diference with what happened to kataeb few days ago…

Eh Ja3far,
MR Adwan chirib dammoun lal rjel, he was way ahead of everybody else in the lebanese front (representing tanzim),way before samir geagea’s days. I guess Bachir should’ve known better (HObeika, P*ussy, Adwan, Etienne )…
As for the statement, our problem with hezbollah is their WEAPONS, without the weapons they’re just another fpm….
As for our stance from Syria, I won’t have to say it again (political detainees, etc, etc,)
14. Rambo | November 22nd, 2009 at 11:46 pm
He is saying what Geagea asked him to say. Intahit el ouwet … yali mna3rifa .. this is the new LF with Arabism, Syrian, HA, … SSNP ….. flavor.
The question is why all the martyrs?? Why we stood and resisted?
Before we stood and resisted for a cause and an ideology. Today they changing everything for Hariri money.

In memory of the martyrs who fell defending the land, the L.F. must:
Ask Adwan to apologize for such a treason. Or better EXPEL him for good (it is not the 1st time)!
If the L.F. do nothing, then this means that the actual leadership endorses the statement and is betraying its martyrs!
19. Alyssa | November 23rd, 2009 at 1:47 am
hahahahahaha Mr.Adwan is a spineless asshole to make comments like that, but then again Syria the “sisterly” nation (dont make me puke) has killed nearly all politicians in this country or exilled the rest.
What do you expect?
I dont even blame the syrian people i blame ourselves for allowing this shit to open its mouth with no same.
this is dhimmitude at its best, the bottom lines some up my feelings exactly.
We dont give a crap about Israel or the crocidile tear palestinians who are not worth sacrificing this country again for.
If we are the same trench as the arab world and Syria how come our country is The ONLY one that is used as a battlefield to fight the israelis and we are the ONLY “arab”(league) country not to negotiate or even talk with israel even syria has made talks in the past with the “devil” on issues.
20. hochoz | November 23rd, 2009 at 2:02 am
Looks like we’ve got a lot of growing up to do….
Anybody remember in 1958, when both Kataeb and SSNP stood against nasserism?….. That put them in the same trench but never EVER had them allying….
Same case with the LF and all other lebanese parties represented in the government that adopted the TAEF accord acknowledging that Lebanon like all other arab countries has some responsibilities towards the Palestinians. That puts the Lebanese State in the same trench as all other arab countries including Syria and not the LF.
If the LF would like to take part in the Government, it will have to take part in any accords made between the Lebanese State and Syria. That does not imply under any circumstance that the LF leadership will have anything to do with the Syrian Regime. This simply encourages the LF’s stance that encourages any relationships between a SOVEREIGN lebanese state and Syria. As for the party’s stance, i’ll repeat it a million times, the LF PARTY is against any relationship with the syrian regime until the political detainees issue is solved (plus several other conditions etc..)…

Now Adwan has no right to say what he said…politics be damned! The only arab country in conflict with Syria is not even Arab..It is Persia nad its terrorist HA…All other countries either have peace treaties or don’t give a damn about it! OOPs; I forgot the incestuous Syria…Well them and the Hebrew nation have been in love with each other for 36 years!!! No problems there…
Grow up people!! KS ekht aadwan if he said that!!

who cares for what 3edwan says? what we care for is what will the LF do!
3edwan said we are in the same trench with syria against israel, and hezbolla says he is defending lebanon but since when we believe what politicians say? what we care for is what they do… and so far the LF is doing great…

I’m kinda glad Adwan said this non-sense. He’s fully aware though that it’s just smoking mirrors and reality is just the opposite of what he said. I want our polititians(LF) to get dirty and start saying things they don’t mean. The goal here is to get to a sovereign country free of terrorists and thugs. If a visit to syria going to bring stability to Lebanon then be it. Take a deep breath everyone and relax …. everything will be just fine.

29. Reminder | November 23rd, 2009 at 9:56 am
If Geagea didn’t agree to this he would either refute Adwen’s statement or condone him… He didn’t…so he tells his comrades to start s*ucing up to Syria hoping that they would let him visit Bashar soon… the tables have turned now that Harriri n Jumblat are going to visit Syria soon, and that Syria and KSA have reached an agreement… Geagea is seling his “principles” to retain LF’s position in Lebanon, the difference between him and GMA is that GMA has always said my problem with Syria is with thier troops in Lebanon, should they leave I will be ok with them..whereas Geagea was still cursing them after they left..now he is changing his mind mahek? Instead of cursing him thank God that this guy is fixing his mistakes before its too late, even tho it kinda is… besides no good can come from continuing to fight Syria and we will never see the detainees ever again because most don’t exist anymore and those who do will be released secretively (if ever) because Syria cant show the world that it has had detainees during such long period of time..
guys life is unfair, cope with it and get used to ir rather than fighting it all the time…

A traitor is one that serves a cause or entity despite the act being harmful to his country. We have nothing to gain from attacking Syria now that their troops are not on our soil. Reconciling with them is within Lebanon’s best interest! Fighting them ,just because we think we should or because LF wants that, is treason.. because we are acting based on LF’s or our stubborn hatred’s interests rather than Lebanon’s interest! 3a shu badkon ba3ed t7erbo or tetawalo 3a syria? they are bigger stronger and unified… make love not war

Adwan is putting the past behind him. He is looking into the future. He is actually waking up. We as the LF do not want to be remembered as collaberators and those who refused to protect our country in recent times. We used israel and they used us even more. It is time to wake up and actually adopt this stance before we have the same status as the guardians of the cedars(GOC). Adapt already. Those who say otherwise are only asking for the decease of our organization.
Take president Michel Suleiman for an example when you realize this.
Mr.Adwan is not defending the PLO terrorists of taal il zaatar. He is defending a whole people.
36. Mike | November 23rd, 2009 at 12:27 pm
Doc, as much as I agree with you on many points. We as Lebanese are not here to get back at each other on political and religous beliefs. If the syrian national anthem was a joke then okay but we are not here to appease other nations or get each other back. We need to have a unified effort to safegaurd the country from a big incoming threat. Those who go on TV everyday and threaten to destroy our nation on a daily basis.
Theresina please do not speak about the LF martyrs and what the LF should do. We all have contributions to this country. These martyrs are thousands of people and each would have their own special opinion on the situation. But what they would all have in common is for Lebanon to continue to protect itself from any incoming threat from rogue entities like Israel or any other.
Alyssa, dhimmitude to syria at its best?
The gov in syria acts much more secular than religous. The president is Alawite. Alawites are close to christianity too although they might be considered as shiites these days. The Christians in syria are as free as the muslims there. Let’s not confuse dhimmitude with the notion of being a client state.
37. sniper | November 23rd, 2009 at 2:33 pm
SSNP, HA, tayyar,
Rest assured, The LF is the ROCK and the only line of defence against invaders and enemies of the state of Lebanon.
HA resistance is from Iran and for Iran. SSNP resistance is from Syria and for Syria.
Tayyar resistance is from BOTH Iran and Syria, against the church and Lebanon.
LF’s resistance is from Lebanon and for Lebanon. It’s growing by the day. More SSNPs and tayyar members are turning LF and the trends continue. SSNP kids are turning LF, LoL Allah Kbir, Allah kbir !!
Don’t kid yourselves, without the LF today, you’d be all packing your stuff and getting in boats.
38. Reminder | November 23rd, 2009 at 4:23 pm

42. Darwish | November 23rd, 2009 at 7:25 pm
LF have no choice but to align themselves on current realities, if they don’t, they’ll find themselves out of touch with their allies in M14 which have already accepted that the new Saudi-Syrian entente has re-opened the door for syrian political influence in the country. Look at how M. Suleiman went to Damascus hours after the new government was formed and how it has already been decided that Hariri would visit soon. I do not think that LF have betrayed their principles, but rather have accepted the reality that they need to re-align with current M14 policy or wage a losing battle that would isolate them…something that FPM would love to see!
43. danny | November 23rd, 2009 at 7:53 pm
Darwish,
I disagree…there is no alignment in kissing Syrian b*U*TT; except if your name is Michel Aoun…LF can go on trying to improve their constituents lives without delving into this absurd rhetoric! I had said it before I repeat all Arab neighbours to Israel have peace treaties and Syria has the coziest of all arrangements…They had their pie in Lebanon and left the Golan alone…Israel’s best friend is the Assad family!
Does M14 policy say anything about fighting for the Palestinian cause? How about fighting for the LEBANESE cause!!
We have a worse than a third world country; everything in shambles and yet the only thing Adwaan wants to say is fighting for Palestinian rights??
44. Alyssa | November 23rd, 2009 at 10:30 pm
Christians in Syria have to kiss the feet
of a dictator to survive, that isnt something
I find amusing.
That form of survival isnt one I want. You may like it on the other hand.
Mike yes syria is so great so free and liberal if you support syria than stop trolling on this website and pretending to be a christian when u blast the Catholic church yet constantly defend mohammed and clearly show sympathy to radical extremists Alawites are not christians anymore than the druze are.
The bottom line is MIKE adwan is suppose speaking the POV of his supporters not of those who mudered our matyrs. Or speaking the POV of the arab world. Truth be it we feel little attachment to it.
Its bad enough our actors and singers have to pretend to love palestinians to get arabs and muslims to buy their records or watch their work and proove their “loyalty” to god knows what but now he is try to drag us into that same degrading hole.
LEBANON FIRST and ONLY. u want to die for the palies with HA good for you than go do it anywhere u like but not here. We support the Lebanese cause not a dead arab one or a Lost Palestinian that isnt our concern. when palestinains have done shit but anything they could for over 40 years to try and wreck this country.
Those “whole people” ur reffering to are not Lebanese.
What about the Christians the Palies and their allies displaced how about we start speaking about justice LEBANESE ppl first this what all other country in this world put thier needs above another EXCEPT lebanon because of the taif its run by corrupt assholes. all the good men have been killed by ur “secular” syrian regime.
45. avi | November 23rd, 2009 at 11:33 pm
Huh Danny i am not so sure about best friends ,Assad knew of the abduction of soldiers in 2006 that went we know in which direction and Assad is also behind a string of terrorists acts like the one in the yeshiva in Jerusalem not so long ago and he is also behind transferring missiles to Hezbollah which undermines Lebanese sovereignty and endangers Israeli civilians and therefor Lebanese civilians ….As an Israeli Danny I must say with friends like these who needs friends???Assad is apparently in the situation of the middle east spoiler which makes him keep his ‘throne’ with Iranian support….He is actually just another dictator and Israelis do not trust him or like him or see him as a friend……But I agree that next time Hezbollah ‘opens fire’ Israel must retaliate on Hezbollah and Syria, this is the Israeli point of view.

If what you say about Assad is correct; then he is the bigger evil and yet Israel only attacks Lebanon and yet no bullet is fired accross Golan…and yet Israel did not even hit any rockets that breeched the border…
Yalla habibi; stop the BS…You know Israel has vetoed touching assad at any cost! It is much easier dropping him than defeating HA!!
48. THERESINIA | November 24th, 2009 at 1:43 am
Avi,
Lebanese have a proverb:”if you want to kill the snake you must hit it on its head”…
Who is the snake? Which country has been the worst ennemy to israel? Directly AND indirectly? The answer is a clear Syria.
Yet, Israel has avoided hitting the snake on its head. If Israel would have done so NONE of the problems we encounter today would have been here!!!!

you mean that it up to Israel to fight your wars? Israel attacks Lebanon in RETALIATION of attacks from Hezbollah. The Golan is quiet because Asaad knows that if he dares firing one bullet he will stand no chance against Israel. So Asaad uses zeballah from Lebanon. That is your sister syria taking care of Lebanon…

Watch you language amigo, you are falling in the same trap you ancestors fell into 30 yrs ago. As you’re falling down, remember that it is you and only you the one calling for INIMICAL realtions with syria which puts you in the same basket along with Israel.
You do not make the call on whether or not syria is the enemy. It’s a choice the Leb people already made so did our current president.
Bottom line, we have the right to defend our country from foreign occupiers. This is not a choice , this is a must !! IT IS FUNDEMANTAL !!
Lastly, you can keep your eyes closed all you want, you can pretend to be and fake the situation maybe you can feel better about yourself , but facts are facts and you cannot change them. You have chosen to be an American SALVEEE and we have chosen to resist. As the saying goes : We rather die on our feet than live on our knees
..

61. danny | November 24th, 2009 at 4:11 pm
Jo you keep on saying you left the LF…Walla? You must have been a special project as it is very seldom that people have your ineptitude and lack of coherance and abject logic!!
You keep on blurting words and expect to be taken seriously? Join the group of so called “ex-LF”ers you weirdo…We are losing so many BUT we kick your touche on every election including the recent University polls…
May I suggest again that you join your “brains” with likeminded douchebags and create a coherent statement (it takes hundreds of your semi functioning retarded brains to equal a 6 yr old’s logic)…

danny, you cant put Doc and Jo in the same trench.
Doc is Aoune , Jo is Aboujamraweh.
63. THERESINIA | November 24th, 2009 at 9:18 pm
Jo,
I made my point: “there is a clear plot between Syria and Israel…and that is WHY Israel is not attacking Syria…”.
The only stupid people are the Lebanese who want to fight for all the others who are not fighting: Syria, Egypt, saudi Arabia, Jordan …and Palestine!!!
Let us destroy Lebanon for the pleasure of others…WHO IS STUPID?????
64. avi | November 24th, 2009 at 10:59 pm
I already told you guys next time Hezbollah attacks Israel I hope Israel retaliates on Hezbollah and Syria .That’s why I hope they never attack!!!!!
65. avi | November 24th, 2009 at 11:03 pm
And as for Assad ,what happens if he falls does Israel not risk someone even worse???,plus Israel does not attack unless attacked …..we do not through away calm at the border like that!!!!!!It is not our interest even if we don’t like Assad, plus I remind you guys that Israel in 2007 attacked Syria with the reactor story and Mouynieh.
66. avi | November 24th, 2009 at 11:10 pm
Let”s say safely that Israel prefers Assad’s spoiler tactics than the Muslim brotherhood i am sure Therisina you understand.Even though Assad needs to be reminded sometimes that he is not to mess too much with Israel.

What I am saying is don’t misinterpret the calm on the Golan on being friends ,understand that Syria only attacks Israel undirectly which means not from it’s territory and the reason is Assad needs to stay in power, the reason why Israel or the US does not seek an Iraq solution to Syria is that everybody knows who will replace Assad ,and this for Israel is even worse than the snake himself. And yes theresina it is very convenient to use Lebanon but I am afraid I do not see the Lebanese en masse speaking against Hezb’s arms….so Lebanon is also responsible.Isn’t the prime minister or the president resposable for their own statements concerning Hezbollah??? Everything in the war zone is linked that is my opinion and my main message from the beginning, that’s why there is a need for peace even though you guys think I am day dreaming.

71. avi | November 24th, 2009 at 11:57 pm
Israel is fierce and dangerous you are right Doc but Israel is in a permanent position of survive or not,do or die!I think maybe it would be wise to provide Israelis with a sense of security which in fact Israel can not do by itself so that Israel can make the very painful concessions so that peace can prevail and we can all continue living our lives ,but once again this is an Israeli perspective not a Lebanese one.I hope one day our region will give peace a chance but this time doc it is my opinion.
72. danny | November 25th, 2009 at 12:43 am

74. Mike | November 25th, 2009 at 9:13 am
What painful concessions are you talking about? You mean to momentarily stop the greed to keep building settlements on palestinian land? You guys can’t even do that lately!
26% of the eligible male population aren’t even joining the IDF. Hundreds of foreigners who moved new to israel and speak hebrew no more fluently than me are put in combat units.
Btw what fierce action are you talking about? It’s called cowardly genocide from 10,000 meters in the sky.
And Barak? Clearly delusional. I yearn the day I will see him face to face and show him how much Lebanese people love him.
In his visit to the northern part of the country, Barak said that “the Lebanese government and not Hizbullah will be responsible for any attack on Israel.”
This happend as a result of the IDF not finding any hezbollah positions to bomb incase of a war. So the option they got and chose is to target the Lebanese army positions all over Leb. Trying to send a pathetic message that if you want to resist Israel and not become a client state like egypt and jordan then this is what you will get.
