LF Should quit M14 or at least distinguish itself from it ..

I’ve been critisizing this unbalanced ’strategic’ alliance for a while now and all i got were insults and attacks … and here we are in the worst situation the LF could ask for …

LF allies once again backstab Geagea and lower their speeches, reconcile with their opponents and compromise on issues Hakim does not accept to bargain on, and all that to suit their electoral calculations and their selfish goals.

Jumblatt & Irslen signing a MOU, i can tolerate that, but PSP & HEZBOLLAH ??? and who knows maybe next week Hariri & Hezbollah will be meeting ..

And for those who call Jumblatt a traitor, you guys are naive .. the man is still the same, whomever thinks Jumblatt is a traitor or whatever knows nothing about him and nothing about lebanese politics ..

But my point is here : Why does the LF have to pay the price everytime ??

Chou jeyeena mennoun khayye ?? screw their money & their votes … our dignity & credibility is at sake !

Keef mne2bal 7aleefna yitfeham ma3 wa7ad mitil Irslen who calls Geagea mounefi2 ??
Keef mne2bal 7aleefna ye7ke ma3 militia who denies our resistance and disrespects our martyrs ?

History taught us not to trust muslims and druze, backstabing druze and the muslims who prefered to fight with the palestinians to occupy lebanon, over having to live more in a country runned by christians ,,,

anyways ,,, our allies do not represent us ,,, our allies are a bunch of cowards … who are doing all what they are doing because there fear overcomes there cause, just like michel aoun !

  • 2. aytati | September 17th, 2008 at 12:28 am

Druze are back stabbers? we saw who stood up for hizb. while you guys were running your mouths, the druze were putting up a fight. we know who the back stabbers are. they are the ones that stayed on the sidelines and watched.
if you guys do 10% rather than talk & BS 100% we would be in a lot better shape.

  • 3. g_cedar | September 17th, 2008 at 12:37 am

Be careful Johnny, the history of Lebanon is a double edge sword that can cut both ways. Don’t open up a can of worms, instead stay above recriminations and try to debate rather than inflame passions that take away from the debate itself.

  • 4. Patrick | September 17th, 2008 at 1:13 am

the question of the druze is tough.

on the one hand, they are always the first to compromise principles in order to reconcile.

on the other hand, they did fight and kill hezbollah the week of may 7…

  • 5. Mickel | September 17th, 2008 at 1:19 am

I don’t think that we should leave M14, eventhough it’s messing up as you said, because M14 is like a tripod; if it loses one of its legs, the whole thing falls. And frankly, eventhough M14 is FAR from perfect, I don’t think we can afford to have a Lebanon without M14.

What we need to do is give them a taste of their own medicine. Why don’t we (I can’t belive I’m saying this) sign a MoU with Aoun. It doesn’t have to mean that we agree with his rediculous views, but we can work together on a lot of issues that could strengthen our Christian Community, and that can only improve our image in the community.

More proof that Christians have lost EVERYTHING…

  • 6. Tony | September 17th, 2008 at 1:34 am

If we do sign papers with aoun So all what Lebanese forces believes in walks out the door if some people care about Votes and Seats in the goverment more then what the political party stands for that means LF has sunk which is not a corect thing to do.

From Bashir to Samir w Ba3da el adiyeh el ouwet el lebneniyeh!

Lets stick to that the same principles as the day the LF got created how about that

  • 7. danny | September 17th, 2008 at 1:58 am

    Wow…

please do not insult any sect! The Druse fought the LF because of the short sighted “leadership” of Amin Gemayel during the civil war. They had the options open after the Israeli invasion and the Martyrdom of Basir. The Sunnis were ready to deal (saeb Salaam) but the LF did not comprehend that it would be suicide if the attacked the Druse in the mountains. They went it alone and were soundly clobbered!

Druse and maronites have lived in the mountains for centuries. They have a common bond and are natural allies! Let us not bring in this Bullshit sectarian crap into the LF.

Mickel; clAounny thinks he has it all and is not ready to deal. He has annoited himself as the new batrak and the slyman frangieh as his Bishop!

N, I totally disagree with your premise that it is better to leave the March 14. The LF’s consituency is in the Christian area and we should concentrate on helping the poor and disadvantaged!(as it is happening already with all kind of social assistance).

    Sorry I took too long!

    The answer: a RESOUNDING NO!!!

  • 8. Maximus | September 17th, 2008 at 2:35 am

Maybe the situation changed and the equation in place since 2005 is no more relevant:
    -Syria is trying to negociate the rehabilitation of its role in Lebanon with Israel and Washington and is ready to sell its alliance with Iran and HA for that;
-Iran and HA are not pleased by the syrian evolution and consider that the objective of a comeback of Syria into lebanon is to weaken and maybe eliminate HA and iranian infuence. Saudi Arabi consider that syrian come back will lead to the weakening of the sunnis and the elimination of the hariri role. So Iran, HA and SA have the same interest in blocking the syrian deal with the West.

    N

It is all about the Syrio-Iranian alliance. IF Syria decides to turn against HA…then maybe the 14th March will split…that is a big dilemma:Syria out Iran in…LF are in a very tough spot…sandwiched between HA and Aoun on the one hand and Sunni fundamentalists and Kawmiyeh on the other…

I suggest that 14 March christians and LF strengthen their alliances for now as one Christian bloc against Aoun…Mickel: no way to sign anything with Aoun…that is the first time I don’t agree with you…

Jumblat is being pragmatic…I don’t think he worries about elections as much as about his own people…Arslan is the one who stood by him when HA invaded the mountain….so that is a different situation…do yu think Aoun will defend Christians if HA invades our villages?…yu know the answer…
Guys we need foreign support…HA am yitmarjalou coz of their Iranian mullah…so let’s have a balance here or try to…

  • 10. Rima | September 17th, 2008 at 2:47 am

    Danny

Good point…According to history, the Mount Lebanon prospered whenever Druze and Maronites came together against teh Ottomans…when they clashed we had the worst nightmares…

  • 11. n | September 17th, 2008 at 3:31 am

lol now u know that aoun wasnt wrong when he left them and you know why he left them he was smarter than u guys because he thought about it long time before u.hope you ‘ll find the wright way gd luck guys

  • 12. Ra'fat | September 17th, 2008 at 4:46 am

The Druze are survivors, they do what they have to to survive, no one can blame them for that. The sunni’s are still finding their footing, they have still to figure out what role they want to play for Lebanon. The Shia and Aoun have clear objectives. So what we have is a side, March 8 that has clear objectives, where as March 14 is formed of a group of people with unclear objectives (meaning not all March 14 have the same goals). The LF is sticking to principles, PSP trying to survive and future figuring it out. Much easier to break up M14 than it is to break up M8. We need to remember that one can either stick to principle or one can win, very hard to accomplish both and one has to make a choice. What really bothers me is Geagea always making promises he can’t keep, or complaints that no one seem to listen to. At this point one would think he would have learned to be a little more quiet before he speaks. Really don’t understand the logic behind all is rhetoric…

  • 13. Danny Badr | September 17th, 2008 at 4:46 am

Even if Geagea decided to sign an MOU with Aoun….I dont think Aoun will do it because it doesnt benefit him at all.

If Hizbullah is able to bring Harir an d Jomblatt over just for the elections AOun also benifits so no need to sign anything with M14 Christians.

  • 14. Rambo | September 17th, 2008 at 5:29 am

As long as sheikh Saad signs checques ….

  • 15. Anonymous | September 17th, 2008 at 5:35 am

N, I try to intervene as little as possible.
Ya khayye you should have seen it coming.
I knew that Joumblatt would eventually crawl back to HA, and Hariri too.
In simple words: hawbaro wou haddado wou sabbo wou kabbaro rass wou 7atto Geagea 3a bouz el madfa3 wou bel ekhir kel wahad ra7 massa7 joukh ma3 el sayyid wou be2e Geagea wahid metel el majdoub.
If your friend Geagea has a minimum of dignity left he should declare his independance from this so called M14 “alliance”. Ma jebetlo shi hal “alliance” he has become the laughing stock of his adversaries 3alanan and his allies min ta7t el tawle… I can see Joumblatt in his private meetings with his puppies making fun of him. As for Hariri he thinks he can buy him off whenever he wants. That’s pathetic.
Ya 3aybeshoum wein saro el masi7iyyé… In this 26th anniversary of Bashir’s death
I say, woul 7ar2a bi albe, thank goodness he’s not alive to see what has become of us… but then again if he hadn’t died we definitely wouldn’t be in this position.
    Yel3an abou hal 7ale
    Take care

  • 16. Rodge | September 17th, 2008 at 5:42 am

    N,

I agree with you and share ur frustration.
But the way I see it, the ones who are making these agreements and the ones who are changing their politics should be the ones leaving M14 not the LF who is still the only party acting by the principles of thei movement.
It is better for the LF to stay alone in M14 and no problem if the others want to leave. The LF started M14 movement in 1975 in real, and the rest has been folowing through the years, so let them leave or change, it is not a problem, we started alone and we can continue alone, but we never leave or change our principles, the others do.

Rodge i totally agree wz u!

Listen ya Ali, we M14 believe in Lebanon n not in people!!! Although i’m not a LF person but i truly respect them for sticking to their principles throughout the years. Do u really think if the leaders of M14 split or create alliances wz M8 we will simply follow? We will accept the presence of HA?
Wake up man; this what differentiates us from u; we have our own mind, our own thinking but one goal, one vision a free Lebanon…

I hope that one day, u will reach to our level n start really loving ur country…

  • 24. Michele | September 17th, 2008 at 8:31 am

Btw, Aoun never cared about Lebanon!!!!

Could someone please explain to me how an ex(deserted) general could afford to buy 2 super deluxe apartment at 1 million dollar each??? It’s his own daughter who told me so!!! Unless u think she’s lying n i would wonder why…

Only Druze fought. All the rest watched from the sidelines.
Don’t blame Jumblatt for trying to safeguard his people. I would have done just the same.

  • 28. Rodge | September 17th, 2008 at 12:48 pm

To Ali, Sam and the rest

There is a Lebanese say “lamma btou2a3 el ba2ra byiktaro el sellekhin”

Well guess what guys, the cow didn’t fall and it will never, so don’t cme everytime saying we told you and etc..

This cow (sorry for the term) is still have a lot of milk to give, and it will be the kind of “Halib el seba3″ حليب السباع
sostop this nonsense, and slo you should take in consideration that it is a 2 sides understanding or agreement, meaning HA is also doing this alone so u should be disappointed.

One last thing, You always said you gonna win and threaten us and told that our people will lose etc…
I just want to remind everyone that the wining team is not always the right team, we’ve been under the Syrian ruling for about 15 years, does this mean they were right???
Wake up ya people ya aounieh w ya hizbist, it’s a phase, M14 principles will stay the only pure Lebanese principles.

  • 29. Rima | September 17th, 2008 at 2:04 pm

    Rodge

Unfortunately…they are very narrow minded they won’t grasp that idea…they think if they win the elections they will feel so elated and drunk in divine victories…they don’t know that theirs are projects of war…permanent wars…Lebanon will be another somalia…it will be puton the terrorism list…I wonder sometimes whether we belong to the same country…it is not anymore about different point of views…it is a matter of life and death…all they care about hassouna is hero aoun is smart and all that…we are a failed state…I do not beleive in one Lebanon…it is just in Fayrouz songs…
Sorry for being pesimistic, next elections forget it….HA will win…Ali is right but that does not make them winners though…it just mwan WE ARE OFFICIALLY A TERRORIST STATE AND EVERY LEBANESE IS TERRORIST…UNLESS A MIRACLE HAPPENS

    Cheers

  • 30. Rima | September 17th, 2008 at 2:45 pm

    God! enough is enough…we need a miracle…

  • 31. Rodge | September 17th, 2008 at 3:17 pm

    Yea Rima,

From now until the elections we will hear a lot about martyrs and people killed, and to be fair from all sides.
but I don’t know why everytime our youth have to pay the price??? until when??? what for?? and for the sake of what of who???
Pierre Ishac is another young man killed in cold blood.
Now Aoun will sue me for saying that.

  • 32. Rima | September 17th, 2008 at 3:32 pm

I am really so sad…My heart bleeds for the lost of innocent people …people like Ali, Sam, and some oranges want to express their opinion freely on this blog, lecture us about the difference of views while supporting political parties whose main strategy is to silence you by force…ironically they get offended if yu call them terrorists…
If what is going on In lebanon is not terrorism…can someone tell me what terrorism is?

If no one is ready to help the people of Lebanon to achieve their freedom…then guys leave Lebanon for the Sams, Fouads, Alis and oranges of Lebanon…because it is not the same Lebanon anymore

  • 33. fad14 | September 17th, 2008 at 3:37 pm

Historically speaking, Lebanon from 1920 till today was ruled by either a Christian dummy or a Christian Dictator.
Each one wanted to get his people (NOT SECT) to power and resulted in all kinds of neglection to the others.

Bshara El Khoury got his family in charge of everything and never wanted to leave and kept all power to suit his pockets.

Chamoun got his family in charge of everything and left power by force and never gave up on his attempts to return.

Foud Chehab tried to do a better country with social reforms but lost control to the second bereau

Charles Helou never really understood what was happening around him until he was called (SUTIL Baabda – The bucket)

Franjieh we all know how he got to power and how his Son(the Martyr THIEF) was stealing all the country.

Bashir died before we can really judge him.

Amine aka (Mr 20%) for all the money that went to his pocket and he was responsible for the 4000LL dollar.

READ History PEOPLE, READ the damn history of your country.

March 14 started something beautiful, forget the past and lets unite.

The past is really bad and disgusting, anyone who doesn’t want to read it. Just get the Nahar Archive and read through. Its disgusting from 1920 till today.

  • 34. roula | September 17th, 2008 at 3:45 pm

No I think it will be a huge mistake… If LF leaves March 14, then Hezb & Aoun would have reach at least one of their objectives: divide us

Lek ya rodge, If you do what you’ve always done, you’ll get what you’ve always gotten. and here are the results :

Junblat is back on the track.

Eh , zaman… Never allow someone to be your priority while allowing yourself to be their option. YOU ARE THEIR OPTION RODGE, THEY USED YOU , THEY DESTROYED YOU . Face it w bala 7alib sbe3 w 7alib haydeke matra7. History wont be kind to you guys. wel 7abel 3la al jarar bass ma badeh zida 3laykon chabeb..

I’ve had tough times, and I’m stronger for it now then ever b4. Nobody’s angrier and more disappointed than you that you didn’t catch the lies for the past 3 yrs .. and the list goes on and on . Now its time for me to take some time off. I will be back in a few months …

    Michele,

I’m sure Ali was high when he wrote that, or maybe believing himself until an extent that he can’t see anything than his own beliefs.

    Ali,
Tawwil belak why u’re so damn happy??? did u win the lotto? come one u’re disrespecting all of us here and u have no right to do that.
Not for a million years u will convince me that I lose or I’ve been used. No one can use me, since i’m not a blind follower as many are, and I see things from all sides, not like you just on Hazeera, OTV, Manar and Al Akhbar.

Grow up ya Ali, it isn’t over yet, u will be surprised soon, don’t start to celebrate, and what are you celebrating in fact?? maybe u’re celebrating ur maturity?? I think u still have a lot to do and achieve in this regard, or maybe u’re celebrating ur newe home in Dahyeh, which isa of course better than the one you had while u were in The US.
walla di3anak ya Ali, Dahyeh environment started to get into you

TERRORISTS SHOULD NOT HAVE THE RIGHT TO FREE SPEECH…THEY USE DEMOCRACY TO DESTRY DEMOCRACY

Ali and Sam belong to the same category …they are brainwashed to brainwash…that what they think they can do here…They use IRHAb naffsii…They avoid to answer vital questions and repeat the same ideas in a systematic way…If someone does not buy their lies they try to ridicule him and attack him on a personal basis…sthg Al manar is very specialized at doing it…they keep claiming their rights to free speech and yet support terrorism under the disguise of resistance…Ali was trying to demoralise people today through shametteh but tell yu what he is also paid to do that job…He is an idiot coz ma khasso bil democracy…if 14th MArch split that is a sign of democracy …that I am proud of
    Cheers

M14 still stands and lets see what happens next. Jumblatt / Aoun can’t exist in the same party and the same applies for Hariri / Aoun and the same for LF /Aoun.

M14 / M8 was the most natural split.

    Lets see what happens next.
