The embassy’s charge d’affaires Tareq al-Hamad informed me that he was contacted by an anonymous caller who said the embassy would be bombed,” Lebanese Foreign Minister Fawzi Salloukh said in a statement.
As a result, the Kuwaiti embassy was fully evacuated.
Who is behind such a threat? definitly the Syrians.
Hezbollah will not do such a silly thing, they are smarter than that and wont bother reacting that way, they are probably planning for a major terrorist act against an Israeli or American target.
As for Syrians, they have been the hot topic of Kuwaiti papers and news for the past few days, and everyone knows the hatred Kuwaitis had for Moghnieh ( who kidnapped a TWA Kuwaiti plane and killed two Kuwaiti civilians back in the 70s), not to mention the unfriendly relation btw Kuwait & Syria.
Additionally, Kuwait welcomed the killing of Moghnieh and local Kuwaiti papers were hinting that Syria is behind it and spreading some suspicious news on Syria’s behavior in regards to Moghnieh’s assassination.
First, Qobs papers saying Syria refuses to give HA any news on the investigation.
Second, Dead Mughniyeh Sparks Discord in Kuwait.
Syria was just replying to those accusations, in its own ‘democratic’ ways …

Yeah, I think Syria would have more informtion on it, than Local (Lebanese) authorities.
