I believe it is time to tackle this issue once again after Hanoun’s return to Lebanon and after seeing the replies that were attacking him and others asking for unity.
This was expected to say the least, but honestly no one is entitled to say one word on Hanoun or any of the old timers in the LF that are not working with Hakim right now.
Many of those are true LFers, and never compromised anything for Hakim’s freedom, those were the ones who lost their brothers and cousins and friends in battles, who fought hand in hand with Hakim.
I am not siding with anyone, i have clearly stated my opinion since this whole inner division started that Hakim should reunite everyone when he goes out from jail, regroup the Old and new LFers and make a big reconciliation, but none of that happened sadly.
I picked two replies from the thread i posted few days go.

El Atik is the biggest backstabber he was working against Hakim here in the USA. I hope Hakim never lets him come back. And no he is not a high official in the LF’s political council he’s a high official in the new party that they call themselves the true lebanese forces and who are against hakim right now. he’s a trouble maker now.

Funny, how Hanna el Atik is the biggest backstabber yet George Adwan is the LF VP.
Maybe i should remind you guys who voted for HK against Hakim back in 1985 to pass the Syrian Triparty agreement, yep indeed it was George Adwan and i dont think Hanoun worked against Hakim as much as Adwan did ..
A general reconciliation is a MUST, and Hakim is losing more and more Old timers and LFers by not organizing it … Kataeb started regrouping their old timers and many LFers are joining the Kataeb again .. i wonder whats taking us so long ..

The old LFers feel partitioned,they missing the acceptance from the current LF leader.
They fougt were some LFer was not born.
i agree with n10452,who is 3adwan? who is Sarkis? and some others? I surprise that Dr. Geagea come clearly with those people ( with respect)as with 7anoun and some other LF old leader.
I think up to now,Geagea is the best leader
but the others have also much to offer,and they are very popular.
Co-operate means not nececcaritly that the LF must change compelitely their political Line.
7anoun is a enriching to the LF.

A general reconciliation is a MUST,
ur right N10452 , but reconciliation on which basis . If Hanoun has a new agenda in his mind and if he will be sitting next to general , we will never support him , but if he is coming to give a push to Lebanese Forces and to be next to Hakim , all LFers will welcome him .
ya shabeb, wake up sar fi hezeb mnazam w mrakhass , kel shi fi men ideas or improvement or critics should be done Inside LF and not outside LF . As 1000 times ,I said let it be democratic , if Hanoun is able to gain the Majority of LF maabrouk 3leh or Fouad Abou Nader or anyone else.
We have to support Hakim and all the critics have to be done inside LF , no more outside .We will all welcome hanoun if he is coming to help Hakim and his brothers in LF.
Let us all be inside LF and let us all work together to make a Better LF that sheikh Bachir died for it and thousands and thousands of martyrs died just to keep the LF flag high .
its our duty to keep khat moukawem ouweteh li stashhadou kermelou elef Ouwet .
to make it short , we will welcome anyone who works to unify LF and we are against anyone who makes LF weak .

Every body wants to be aleader. We are one of the smallest communities and we have the most leaders want-to be in the world and the worst ones for that. Take a break form your blind support for whoever and observe how idiotic, selfish, and self-destructive our so called leaders behavior havs been. Hakim has paid the price. He is relatively the best leader and i’m saying relatively. Let’s stop the crap and support the organization from the inside. For those expecting a red carpet tretment for each former member please be real. For those who don’t want to join then good luck mind your own business. Please enough with the reconciliation crap that never works. We just had a half chance for a real country in M14 that is quickly slipping because of those leaders-want to be. What you are asking for is not democracy is utter chaos.

I don’t think any one is entitled to label Hanoun or any other LFers or ex-LFers. There are many things that we do not know about, and it would be very immature for us to throw accusations.

Well, I do not know about Hanoun or orther LFers a lot, but I do know one thing, if these hard and difficult times could not unite the LFers together, we will be in a sad situation. We cannot handle any more divisions, this will be devastating. I think a meeting between Hanoun and Hakim should be done at once. The reunion of the LF is a must.

Je suis celui qui a publie le petit commentaire a propos de ” Hanounoun”.
Je suis bien avec toi que ” 7akim ” doit organise une conference de reconciliation avec les anciens LF.
Mais rien ne justifie que hanoun travaille contre “7akim”, il peut s’exprimer d’une autre maniere.
Par exemple ici a Paris tu as une dizene des anciens combattants des forces libanaises, et qui juska maintenant ils n’osent pas retourner au Liban et ils sont sans passeport ( ils ont un “Laisse passe ” des autorites francaises ) et qui n’ont pas changer leur ligne politique et ils sont toujours fideles a “7akim”.
Pkoi eux n’ont pas changes de ligne politique alors que lui “oui”??
En plus les partisants de la partie politique de HK sont contre “7akim” pour toujours, et les resultats de la conference de reconcialiation sont bien clairs deja.

Georges Adwan etait ds une petite partie armee dans la region de Jounieh et precisemment kaslik, ils jouaient le role de “security” la bas c tout il n’etait pas ce grand chef comme tu l’as montre

WRONG . I WAS STILL IN LEBANON IN1977 AND I MET ADWAN. HE ORGANIZED THE RESISTANCE IN TAYOUNE AND BADAROU. I WAS IN THE PHALANGIST GROUP AT THAT TIME AND I WILL NEVER FORGET ME AND TWO OTHER COMRADES FILLING THE BACK OF A JEEP WITH MORTAR SHELLS 82 MM AND FRENCH PEPPA 120 MM SHELLS. MR ADWAN WAS KIND ENOUGH TO SHARE WHAT HE HAD BECAUSE WE WERE TERRIBLY LOW ON AMMO. THIS IS GOING BACK 30 YEARS

When confronting any problem, the first step is to identify the root cause of the problem before trying to look for a solution.
This can be done in many ways. Some include promoting dialogue with GMA , admit your mistakes ect…
