Heading towards war or peace ?
Posted by N10452Despite all the reconciliations happening in the region and in Lebanon, a new round between Hamas-Hezbollah and Israel seems imminent, maybe in the next few months, or maybe years.
I hope i am wrong but things are way too good to be true, and Palestinians seem to be the scapegoat of this new war, mainly the Palestinian militias in Lebanon.
Hamas leader was visiting KSA last week, Mahmoud Abbas doing several visits to Arab countries, Jumblatt reconciling with Wahhab, Syria happy with getting its role back, all happy except M14 Christians, and they have every right not to be ( eventhough they are to be blamed partially for bringing Syria back.)
Hezbollah seems relaxed and worried at the same time, same for Israel … but both are fully prepared and equipped and waiting ….
Until then, we can enjoy our lives and prepare a backup plan for the dark days to come.
After all, peace only comes after a war.

Now Lebanon is officially a rocket launching pad for the Iranian Mullas and all the Lebanese with the exeption of M14 Christinas seem stupidly happy to play this role. The second war will happen when the Mullas decide to press the botton.

Walla ya N I am not sure what to make out of this post. You see war when everyone is trying to reconcile and kiss up? I do not believe that there is anything brewing on the horizon to cause worry…at least not in the immediate future…things could always change though!
4. avi | January 4th, 2010 at 10:45 pm
lol Paul……How can you be in peace when the major party that is armed to the teeth in Lebanon wants to destroy the Jews???How can you even be asking the question peace or war….when you’re country seeks to destroy or is too scared or too week to counter those that want to destroy……..Of coarse N you forgot the Jews because you are in a country where mentioning them is collaboration to the enemy….that’s why we Jews call you the culture of death and destruction….Here this is a real Muslim…http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KtjI88AZbJE&feature=related….Islam has nothing to do with Hezbollah or Iran these peoples just use it for their convenience….and do you know why?because in the Koran itself it is written ‘the children of Israel’ numerous times…so who is lying Nasrallah or the Koran and the jews themselves???

Any ways Lebanon will be safe and in peace if it doesn’t attack Israel…….even a moron can see what’s going on……..
6. Cartman | January 4th, 2010 at 11:31 pm
Relax N,
avi said it in #4 “even a moron can see what’s going on……..”
Israel won’t dare get in a fight in lebanon as long as lebanon or some lebanon can stay stacked with weapons and ready to hit back hard…unless iraelis elect some crazy nut suicidal leader in the future.
same with US and Iran, despite all the BS talk, they will never dare to put a hand on tehran, SIMPLY because they will be hit back hard.
so…as far as i can see, i see peace.
thanks to the balance of power.

fuck hezbollah fuck war fuck the palesto-israel cause go to hell
i just want to live in peace i want my kids to grow up safe and live in their country in dignity not count the days to the conflict which ultimately isnt our fight or problem.
Want a solution to the palestinian problem in Lebanon? THROW THEM OUT! push them to syrian israeli border i dont care its time people in this country start putting this nation first and this country first and think of lebanese first
and not be ashamed to say it openly
people in Iran are begining to get fed up with their country giving away their money to idiots in HA and morons in gaza while their ppl suffer we should have the backbone to say we are fed up with our country being used as a minefield and battleground for the Arabs and israelis to fight their wars.
We paid enough for the palestinian cause and learned how brotherly the arabs really see us while they get rich and live in peace while we live in unstablity with a parasite rotting from within puting lebanon name through the mud in pleasure

Cartman,
“Israel won’t dare get in a fight in lebanon as long as lebanon or some lebanon can stay stacked with weapons and ready to hit back hard”
That is the role of our national army … not HA. The biggest lebanese resistance disarmed and went political purely for the benefit of the country.
If Hezbollah were real men, they would do the same.

So should I go back to Lebanon this summer or not? ‘o’
12. Mike | January 5th, 2010 at 6:03 am
The biggest Lebanese resistance disarmed and went political purely for the benefit of the country?
it’s true we were a resistance BUT.. look at where we are now. Wasn’t Taef great?
Whoever is asking to disarm the second resistance is asking for the guillotine for the Lebanese and especially the Christians. Or those who never learn from history or read it in the first place. Remember the the Druze and Maronites in the late 1800s. Remember the LF after taef. We went from power to failure at that time and it hasn’t been good since.
Jean, don’t forget we are facing a mentally unstable enemy. One who equates lebanese citizens to lebanese army to hezbollah to terrorists.
13. avi | January 5th, 2010 at 8:09 am
Ah hezbollah wants to destroy Israel….and when it attacks it’s neighboor because it’s their raison d’etre Lebanon gets destroyed…….but they must be defending Lebanon with the balance of terror right Cartman?

Aoun was “created” politically by the Syrians after they imposed him as commander in chief of the Army in 1984 to oppose the LF. And he did well.
Go back to the 2amr alyom bi majalat al-jaysh from 1984 to 1988. You will understand…
17. Alyssa | January 7th, 2010 at 5:30 pm
Aoun is a proxy for the syrians the fact FPM now admitting they are a pro-syrian group in their forums shows even they are losing face in that arguement

Geagea went to syria at time for a personal matter not for political one he got blessing from batrak at that time to do so. he didnt travel on bashar’s personel plane or make a national visits to iran and syria and claiming to be doing it in the name of christians. Or was called by bachar “a friend”. while his men are still rotting in prisons in the same he country who went foolishly to war with and vowed he wouldnt leave his men yet took millions in a french account and went running to french embassy in his pj’s leaving his men to die. while geagea spent 10 yrs in jail aoun spent 15 years in luxury in his french villa.
nobody supported syria to “invade” Lebanon plz another FPM kid whose been reading history books made by Syria.
At the time while lebanon was at war in 1970s
with the palestinians and their muslims, leftists allies determined to political anhilite christians and crush us in certain parts of the country. (which at the time aoun was on our side with the army) Our camp (naively) supported a peace-keeping (not invasion) from the Arab League since america was reluctant to help.
which turned out to be 90% syrian arming both sides to kill each other and occupying the for 30 years and economically sucking it dry 15 years.NOBODY supported that! except hezbo and ssnp and all those who held a THANK YOU SYRIA parade in 2005
21. Alyssa | January 11th, 2010 at 4:32 pm
btw even Hafez al-assad admitted that invading Lebanon was a SYRIAN decision and no one elses.
