Will we ever live in Peace?

HERE WE GO AGAIN !!

After countless Israeli wars with armed groups in Lebanon, it appears that a new conflict is imminent and is coming very soon. Hezbollah is just waiting for that perfect timing that they always surprise us with, and Israel is already preparing and deploying troops and setting battle plans.

Which leads me to a question that asks itself (sou2al byotra7 nafso ): Will we ever have peace with Israel?

All the other ‘Arab’ countries are starting economic partnerships with Israel, trading with the Hebrews, Opening embassies…Heck! even Syria is negotiating with them.

But Lebanon is still “the first country to resist and the last to sign a peace treaty!”. Well good for us! We’re still attached to the ‘Arab Cause’ and we’re going to throw those evil Jews in the sea, and free Palestine, and return Jerusalem to the Arabs!

We went from being the pioneers of the Middle East in everything from economics to entertainment…to a backwards society living in a devastated war-zone that is proud to destroy itself and do things that are not in its interest just to help another people who was the main contributor in the destruction of Lebanon and just to stick to the issue of ‘Arabism’ that never existed in the first place and that even the actual Arabs have abandonned.

Our disputes with Israel can no longer be solved with ‘resistance’. An agreement can be reached between the two parties without a single shot being fired. And seeing that the Bush Administration is seeking to leave office on any good note, I think that they would be glad to help us reach a deal.

It will be something similar to Egypt’s agreement with Israel:

They return the Sheb’a Farms directly to Lebanon.
They turn over the maps of the mines that they planted in the South.
The U.S. can send Significant military aid to the LAF, just like it sends $2 Billion in aid every year to Egypt. ( That way Hezbollah can no longer claim that the army isn’t capable of defending Lebanon)

And in return, Israel will of course get the disarmament of Hezbollah and the recognition by Lebanon of the State of Israel.

We have nothing to lose and everything to gain by signing a peace treaty. It’s about time we make peace. Mch daroure kll snten nekoul atle and have to start all over.

Everyone else’s position in the region vis a vis Israel has evolved over the years, but you see, we’re still content to rehash old slogans that no one believes in anymore…we’re the butt of jokes in the arab world.

If HA think that they will get by by building a mini-Iran in Lebanon without relaliation, they are dreaming.

The last might even be unnecessary. If the Lebanese army becomes competent, war with Israel is de-legitimised & the Shabba Farms dies as an excuse, what reason is there for Hizballah to be?

And if Hizballah doesn’t exist, what need does Israel have for scuffles?

Any agreement here is just red tape. No need for any of that because the pieces (theoretically) fall into place. No one needs to compromise anything.
Compared to Israeli-Egyptian, Israeli-Jordanian, Israeli-Palestinian situations, this is super easy.

Most Israelis & (I assume) most Lebanese don’t care about Shabba Farms. Even if they did it’s certainly not important enough to fight wars over because it just doesn’t effect the lives of many people in a significant way.

This of course depends on enough people being interested & the right people having the political power at the right time.

But even that is infinitely easier then in the above mentioned cases. We don’t even need the stars to align on both sides. As long as Lebanon can offer the above terms at any point, Israel will probably accept. Only condition is that it needs to look like whoever is offering is going to be able to deliver (so maybe not this year).

So if peace is what you want, you’ve got a good chance. These wars are over nothing anyway.

and then they will shoot you too because they don’t need you because they are allied to sanioura and jumblat only since geagea has nothing to offer them anymore(this isn’t 1982 where the christians had the power)
P.S: You’ra a very disrespectful ya delta, have you ever heard anyone from 8 march saying that he hopes that syria will come in and clean lebanon from 14 march trash?(although that’s impossible since if syria enters lebanon again 14 march will be allies with it again, but that’s not the reason 8 march wouldn’t say it)

How many people have March 8 killed? How many people killing did March 8 cheered?

Delta has reacted impulsively but that does not means that he is serious because the israelis shoot no people on the wall but they arrest them.they are not syrian.
