I was waiting for any LF member and supporter to tackle this news. But it seems either they support the decision of the LF or they are extremely ashamed to talk about it and afraid of spreading the news.

Well here it is. I will not talk to much about it, I will add one sentence:
What a DISGRACE. Samir Geagea has no right to take the LF in this direction. If he has a debt to pay to Saad Hariri, he should pay it from his own pocket. Samir Geagea must resign as head of the LF and go enjoy his life.”

    Hey Mano,
It seems that we had the same reaction. I was writing my opinion at the same time. I only noticed yours when I published mine.
Same indignation, although it’s overlapping news.

This guy is a MAD-DOG the worst of its kind on this planet: a combination of Bashar/Mu3ammar/Chavez/Castro/Nasser/Ceausescu/ and Hitler!!!!

The hell with him and with all killers of poor people….

  • 13. THERESINIA | March 6th, 2009 at 2:30 am

And shame on Gea3gea3 for supporting “dirty” criminals…

  • 14. THERESINIA | March 6th, 2009 at 2:33 am

We have been critics about the Mad-General for supporting Iran and Syria, now is the turn of the “Official L.F.” : Shame for supporting a terrorist and a criminal!!!!

Politicians think about the next elections, while LEADERS think about the next GENERATIONS….

    Where are our christian Leaders?????

what a DISGRACE and SHAME on the LF leadership.

  • 17. Fou2ad | March 6th, 2009 at 6:12 am

Why do you LFers find supporting bashir so outrageous? It can’t be cause he’s a genocidal criminal, cause your unbreakable alliance with jumblatt pretty much cancels that out, so the only other reason you could hate him is because the west hates him, and ofcourse you are always worrying about what kind of people the west will see you as, oblivious to the fact that the only thing they know your country for is the violence of its civil war. And do not forget that these righteous passionate human rights activists in the west that want to hang bashir are the real people responsible for the genocide in sudan, since it is the west(europe and US) that provided an unlimited supply of weapons to sudan to fuel the civil war in order to destroy the investments of the increasingly capitalist china in sudan(the bridges, factories…) .

I totally agree with all the disgust expressed here. As I said before am not LF, but to me it is really refreshing seeing LF supporters criticising their party leaders. This shows political maturity, not like other pseudo-parties floating around with supporters that change language to suit there leaders new born political humbug of an opinion. I have not seen one aouny or hizballah supporter comment here yet. I think they are flabergasted to this new thng they have never seen before: self-criticisim

  • 19. kezballah | March 6th, 2009 at 10:14 am

Fou2ad your conclusions always based on one thing, you think LFer have simple mind and no morality and follow America blindly, maybe this make you feel good that you are smart and the other group is stupid. But this article show you that we think for ourself not what Mourshed 2a3la tell us, we don’t justify what our leader do if it is against our principle. We ally with Jumblat because he change his speech, you want us to fight him OK give us armes and don’t complain when the war get dirty and call us zo3ran OK?

You have to know what you want in life, we want democracy like the West it is not our business the factory of China (you are worry about China the bigest human right violator?), we want freedom like the West we don’t want Ahmadisejjad.

  • 20. kezballah | March 6th, 2009 at 10:20 am

2bornot2b this will be tough for M8, I am sure Nasrallah want to say Omar Bashir is khat a7mar but now Geagea support him so M8 can not support him, I think the best option for them is that Aoun declare himself the protector of Sudan Christians ;)

  • 21. cedarvoice | March 6th, 2009 at 11:31 am

    Eiffel & Mano,

I surely agree with you on this subject, which I already talked about also:

    Keep it up

  • 22. 2bornot2b | March 6th, 2009 at 3:22 pm

I think the LF should issue a retraction or explanation or something, or they going to piss some major votes. However, guys on the plus side, the LF have mentioned this piece of news once and they removed it directly off the official website and it was not a major figure that “went” to the embassy. So they should have a way out of this mess.

  • 23. 2bornot2b | March 6th, 2009 at 3:29 pm

By the way the LF official should read jumblatt’s answer to ilbashir’s arrest warrant, now that guy knows his politics. He said f**k ilbashir what is happening to him is because of all his wrong doings, and at the same time he hit on the Arabism blabla by asking the same fate for Israeli leaders. Now this guy is a fox and really knows his politics. Like him or hate him.

ouwatji, with respect bro but how you know who we are so you call us wled and zghar siyese? I don’t want to get in argument over this issue but as you know we are not Aounies we can debate 2il Ouwet and Ka2id 2il Ouwet and Mou2assis 2il Ouwet, it don’t make us Pierre Daher we are not making any money and we are not abandoning the LF, we discuss it like any Republican or Democrat or Socialiste discuss his party. Isn’t it the institution that we all want the Ouwet to become?? I can be upset at a
decision but I don’t turn my back on Ouwet and Dr Geagea, both sacrifice a lot and deserve our support, but everyone make mistakes.

Ouwet or any party that dont worship Mourshid 2a3la is made from its suppoters, without us there is no Ouwet, ask Fou2ad Abou Nadir and Pousy Ashkar and….

    Take care.

Well It is hard to swallow such maw2af diplomacy as you said. Don’t you think it would be better if the LF kept silence on the issue. In this sensitive case we can apply the following mattal: iza kana el kalam min fedda fal soukout min zahab…la2 min almaz.
On the other hand I think that the conclusion made above that LF supports the Criminal of Sudan is too exaggerated.

By the way, do you remember adwan’ hugs and kisses to that child killer Kuntar. How can such a deputy represent LFers?

    Cheers

Rima, hugs and kisses are crap to feed the march 8 media… what do you want the Safir headlines to be “LF refuses to shake hands with kuntar” or “LF is sad Kuntar is liberated”.
There is no point of making a big fuss about this subject, Samir Jeajea and the guys prooved their loyalty to the cause and they sacrificed a lot for it, let’s not doubt them every second.
