A Literature note for March 14
Posted by Mano“If you have tears, prepare to shed them now….
Oh, what a fall was there…
Then I, and you, and all of us fell down.”
–William Shakespeare, “Julius Caesar,” Act 3, Scene 1.
Thank you March 14 leaders. We, the Lebanese people. We, the Million Lebanese (Men, Women, elders and Children) who kicked the Syrians out. We who handed to you a free Lebanon on a silver of plate. I should say Golden. We who handed to you the Cedars Revolution. We tell you thank you. Thank you for opening the door to Syria. Thank you for your ignorance. Thank you for allowing Hezbollah to Knock you down. Thank you for all your efforts. It seems the smartest one in you can’t match the IQ of a 4 years old kid.
You had us behind you, you had the US behind you, Europe and the UN. Syria had her back to the wall. Her allies in Lebanon had their tales between their legs. 3 years and you, the so called politicians and leaders of March 14, lost it all. Hezbollah is smart. March 8 is smart, but they didn’t win because they are smart. They win because your are a bunch of Feudal lords and proved to be nothing but ants in front of Syria and its ally.
I do not blame Hezbollah. Hezbollah is implementing his agenda. I do not blame Aoun any more. Hell he was defending Christians rights in Doha while you, you the damn so called freedom lovers, you the so called Christian representative of our struggle were defending Saad and his money. Shame on you. Shame on you. At the end of the day, Aoun looked like a hero and you looked nothing but servants to Sheikh Saad. You made Aoun look like a savior. You leaders of March 14.
As for you, the once upon a time who used to say “Amin el Mujtama3 Al Masihi Fawqa Kul I3tibar”, what should I tell you? I am ashamed to even address you with a single word. I thought after Doha, you will return to Maarab, after the hard lesson you got there, with a thought to go back to who you were once before you went to prison. When I heard you talking today, I knew for sure that there is no hope in you. The torch you once carried is turned off. You not only went on a tangent, you switched course and decided to stay there.
Allah Yirham Shuhade’na. Allah Yirham kil shab sa’at moudefi3 3an adiyeh ‘eman fiya.
Shakespeare wrote:
“If you have tears, prepare to shed them now….
Oh, what a fall was there…
Then I, and you, and all of us fell down.”
–William Shakespeare, “Julius Caesar,” Act 3, Scene 1.
But march 14 are a herd of crocodiles, they do not shed tears. I stand with my fellow Lebanese shedding our tears on every thing we did since 1975 till today. We shed tears on our martyrs whom you have been killing day in day out.

Mano, I would be interested to know what do you think march 14 could have done better…
I agree they did some mistakes but overall I think they did fairly well…
In fact I don’t think m14 leaders betrayed the millions who took the streets in 2005, I think it is many among those millions who betrayed the spirit of m14. If the majority of lebanese were united for a cause like they were in 2005, wala hezballah wala iran wala souria wala 7adan could have overcome that will…we lost because the people especially among the christians have lost faith in our cause. 2 weeks ago, when Syria and Iran were taking over beirut, many, even among m14ers were saying that was a sunni shia war and that we were not concerned… this is the sin…the cedar revolution is a christian cause bi emityezz but we sold it because we are obsessed with our sectariansim… This was the problem.

For the past month or so, every other day SG has had a press conference, and sadly not a single thing he said has turned out to be correct, yet he still does it. First I thought the man has a plan, we need to believe, then I thought no way he could be making statements that he can’t support. Finally I thought that we had a strategy in place to be revealed in time. Sadly, after Doha I realized that none of that was true, I was just over thinking and the truth was pretty simple, the guy has no clue what is going on, and if he does he is absolutely powerless. I mean Aoun won back all the support he lost and SG still has his little press conferences. At this point he should stay quiet for a while and re-evaluate everything he promised or said instead of having a silly press conference, unless he just likes to hear the sound of his own voice on TV and radio, because it has been proven that these speeches really have no root in reality…..

Ra`fat… am not gonna repeat what I said in the post above…
But your undertsanding of politics looks superficial to say the least…Politics is not a horse bet…you don’t bet on who is going to win….well the hezb is stronger than the muslims who embraced our cause…this doesn’t mean SG chose the wrong side…
m14 principle is what the christians have been fighting for since 1920…if the fact that some muslims joined scares you then I’ll leave you to your ideals…………..

Ra’fat the support that Aoun got is nothin and it’s not gonna last, the only reason that SG is not gettin enough credit is because his not lyin like Aoun, he’s doing the right thing. Ur saying that he can’t do anythin, i agree with u but sooner or later everybody’s gonna know who is workin for the christian rights and who’s not, i hope they realize before the next elections.

All what u guys do is blame the LF nd Dr Geagea. The man said in every possible occasion that we have to elect a president first,nd that’s our main concern in the moment, nd we did ! they were insisting on “7oukoumat al we7da ” before the president nd they failed
2- we were askin that they get the hell out of DT for 3 years nd we got it
3- for the first time , the 7izb wepaons are being discussed like they are now, with an arab support. After electin the president, the “7iwar” will be continued.
We have to accept that HA wepeons are not in our area of reach. We took one single decision concerning their communication network nd look what happened, now u were expectin us to disarm them in doha ?
3- Hakim didnt fail! he only failed in ur eyes ( the ones who know nothin but critisize Hakim on every single move he makes ) The only thing he didnt accomplish was the Arab troops to lebanon. The aounies were askin for 7 mps in achrafiye ( bel e3lem ) nd hakim said with may chidiac that the ideal thing is to give achrafiye 4. We got 5
He said that there must be a “bend” talkin about the relation between armed organisations nd the government nd he accomplished that
4- u have to know that the decisions of Hakim nd the 14march must be backed-up by the west. When they push us to take decisions then they leave us in the middle of the road, with no support, facing an armed militia nd Syria nd Iran, what are u expectin ? It’s something bigger than us,nd when we do not have the support we need,we will lose..The doha accord was the MAX we could get after losing military on the ground
5- We all knew that we cant rule this country without them. The shiaa alone almost represent 40 % of our society..so it was not about giving them the “telet mou3atel ” or not, it was about when we should give it to them : the ma7kame douwaliye has passed nd this goverment has max 9 months before the general elections.
So giving them NOW the 1/3 is useless,nd u have to remember that they signed on the Doha agreement ” tata3ahad el mou3arada bi 3adam al istikala w 3adam ta3til ……”
6- Im not saying that hakim is perfect, he did some mistakes, like every politician has..,But u guys have something against him ( u might be right in this thing or not im not discussin it now) but its not a reason to blame him and attack like u are…
7- Elections are coming…nd time will tell who’s right nd who’s wrong

YI3NI HIJJI MA BTI2LI 3IJJI, YI3NI IJA BADDO YKA77ILA TOOLI3 3EMIHA.
Did someone listen to SG 2 days ago when he was with Michel (olive) Sisson?
He was trying to convince us that he tried to split B3albeck from Hirmel, but he was told that he can not move a “single hair”. Inno walaw, so it is true that 14 March were sure from the beginning that they did not have something in hand, and couldn’t go with the 50+1, nor with adding new shi3a ministers to the government, nor even taking any decision without retreating later, and what MICHEL AOUN was telling them from the beginning was SIMPLY TRUE ” IF U.S.A. IS SUPPORTING 14 MARCH ,THIS DOES NOT MAKE 14 MARCH AS STRONG AS U.S.A.”
Can someone tell me what was the whole media about the U.S.S COLE? Inno first they told us that it’s here to help for the order in Lebanon, and to send a message to Syria inno the WAWA is close . but what is hapenning now? peace talking between SYRIA AND ISRAEL,

PLEASE CAN SOMEONE TELL ME WHAT HAPENNED TO THE CAMERA OF HIZBALLA SET ON THE RUNWAY 17 IN THE AIRPORT.
I MEAN KHALAS 14 MARCH AND THE CARICATURE MAN (JUMBLAT) FORGOT ALL ABOUT IT AND NOW THEY CAN FLY FREELY FROM THE AIRPORT?
THIS FUKCING CAMERA BROTHERS CAUSED THE DEATH OF 65 INNOCENT PEOPLE , SHALL WE FORGET WHAT THE LEADERS WANTS TO FORGET? IS THERE NO EXPLANATION FOR THE PARENTS OF THE PEOPLE WHO DIED? OR FOR THE PEOPLE WHO GOT STUCKED IN LEBANON,OR OUTSIDE WAITING TO COME BACK?
8. Fuziyad | May 25th, 2008 at 9:39 am
Elie F, was yr news connection cut lately?????
The camera was there to assasinate those who opposed god’s militia..the gov took measures against it and the metwalis reaction was to burn beirut…
m14 found itself in a situation where they had the choice between civil war and surrender…they felt that the people who supported them wanted anything but civil war while on the other side the shourafa had replaced champagne with blood…
Personnally I would have gone with civil war but am I allowed to impose it on people who don’t want it?????????
Let me know what you think and what you would have done…
9. Fuziyad | May 25th, 2008 at 9:48 am
Elie F, about international support…
Things are clear, the international community under the US leadership ended up following the Isareli advices. Lebanon had to be sold to Syria and Iran against guarantees…
the deal was done and the hezb acted only once they knew that…I wasn’t expecting the US to send the marines in 5 min but I would have expected stronger condemanations and measures…..rien, ma chi, nothing, nada…the international community ignored the beirut events and greated the doha agreement that gives Iran and Syria full control on lebanon..
Still…this treason shows how important was the international support in our struggle…the day they left us, we lost…
10. Fuziyad | May 25th, 2008 at 9:52 am
Diax…….I disagree with your view, we have lost…BIG TIME!!!!!!!!!!!
But this doesn’t meang SG took the LF to the wrong place…he only left the LF where they belonged but the fight was a difficult one…we lost for now but we live to fight another day……………..
11. Elie.F. | May 25th, 2008 at 9:58 am
FUZIYAD,
How are you?
I know that the camera was set to kill 14 march leaders in the beginning, but after what hapenned in DOHA made me sure that there was nothing to do with it, i’m not the one who lost a brother or a sister or a father in the last war,but i’m sure the parents and relatives of those innocent people who died needs an axplanation, it doesn’t mean that if Jumblat and Geagea and Hariri wants to make a compromise on the deads and want to forget all that we have to forget too. inno let us not do with the publicity of the LBC, inta ma tinsa ana binsa 3annak.
about the war,i wished it hapenned if it was to fulfill all our demands like the 8 march did with their own war, who blamed them for what they did? u.s.a?
12. DiaX | May 25th, 2008 at 10:25 am
Fuziyad,
I didnt say that we won nd im not denying that we lost a very important battle, what im sayin is that we manage to get the maximum we can i Doha. The Doha accord came after a miltary loss, just like taef. What were u expectin ? they took beirut in one day, they “shallo el balad ” for a week nd we’re askin for a better deal ?
We need to get back to earth, nd open our eyes nd see the reality of things….We lost ( after a military coup ), but we managed to get some wins in our loss
13. fadi | May 25th, 2008 at 12:50 pm
We are ashamed of you MANO, that’s all I can say to you. You make me sick with those words where did aoun look like a hero, where did hezbollah win, all gaven in to retrieve something of the country.
THERE IS NO USE MARCH 14 DEFENDING A COUNTRY THAT IS NOT GOING TO BE THERE
14. Rambo | May 25th, 2008 at 1:38 pm
Fadi,
English 101, look like doesn’t mean he is.
Politics 101, Hizballah won, the whole world see it. Not even the camera issue of the airport is going to be discussed, Hizballah got tilt el mou3atil, an electoral law based on 1960, Michel Sleiman president (the one that Geagea refused over a year ago), …..
If you do not see all this, then too bad.
March 14 can’t defend a country. March 14 was kidnapped by the feudal leaders to defend their own interests.
Those who defended and will defend the country are those who care only about the land and its future.
They are the sons and daughters of our grand parents who tried to build a nation.
They are the sons of Charles Malek, Fouad Frem Al Boustani, … and not the sons of dabkeh and argileh.
They are the brothers and sisters of Elias Bou Assi, William Hawi, Bachir Gemayel, Eddy Al Asmar, Andre Abdo, Michel Tahan, ….. and over 10 thousand martyr.

Rambo, seriously u are funny!!!!
If we need to sum up ur comment, it would be the following:
-Hezballah & his Syrian allies only care to defend Lebanon n can “never” drag Lebanon into a futile war & kill 1200 innocent people, destroy the infra-structure, set back even more the economy n making thousands of lebanese stay without a home in the south.
- Hezbies & their allies care so much about the land n future, to an extend they pushed the “elite” lebanese to leave the country and work abroad! I wonder how the future of Lebanon will be without any1 there to build it.
- Hezbies are indeed building something but not a nation, an army to implememt the iranian/syrian agenda in Lebanon.
- Finally & that’s my favorite, Hezbies & Aounists are “not” sons of Dabké & Arguilé, the ones who invaded the centre of Beirut & held for over a year, exciting evenings of Dabké & arguilé!!
Hmmmm! Hon just an advice:
Quit what u are smoking and most importantly try to get out to breath fresh air, oxygen would do wonders with ur half dead brain….
16. Rambo | May 26th, 2008 at 8:55 pm
Michele,
It seems you do not know either how to read or understand what you are reading.
It seems you are part of March 14 failures who blame everything on HA and Aounist.
Sorry but to tell you the truth I am part of the true March 14, the one that came to live before it was taken over by the cheese eaters.
By the way, to hell with Aounist and HA. I guess I had to put this sentence because Michele and her likes doesn’t seem to get it, that many of us oppose HA and Aoun but at the same time do not approve on the failures of March 14.
When we were and still defending Lebanon, Michele was still either nor born or enjoying the ideology of HI, Kifak, ca va…..
