IF YOU WERE A LEADER
Posted by LebanonjonHow I wish I could take Lebanon in my hands and cradle it like a baby. I wish I could hold it and say ” everything is going to be alright”. The evil knocks on the door of a long and fitful night. Before long there will be war. Another Syrian sponsored war to reach the same goal of domination.
Where are you Bachir? Where is the Lebanese leader who can rally a nation from its knees? How I wished I could be that man. How I wished that I could speak to the heart of my nation and find its common cord. The theme that brings us to unity.
Imagine a Lebanon where quiet prevails. Imagine a nation where a criminal is caught and put in Jail, where a politician is forced to represent his constituents. Imagine a nation where the rule of law is stronger than a family and more just than a bribe. Imagine a nation where the people get angry when something threatens their environment. Imagine country where the last thing a citizen thinks about is if his lights go out or his street is unpaved. Imagine a Lebanon where people wonder when they can get back to it and not get away from it; where the only visa you get is to go on vacation and it is given to you with a smile.
Picture this green and mountainous country with a turquoise blue Mediterranean lapping at its shores. Picture prosperity and Beirut. Picture a clean coastline teeming with tourists and fun. Picture a nation at peace with itself. Picture a people who are so proud that no one can ever come between their country and them.
Picture the dream you have becoming reality.
Believe me.
Every Lebanese has the same image of Lebanon. It is the Lebanon that cares first about its citizens than about its neighbors. It is a Lebanon that fights first for its people and their security. It is a nation that makes peace with its neighbors and forgives them their trespasses because there is no way to live in hatred and in fear. Imagine your nation being the place that you would die for every day and live for every second. Imagine that you, your country and your fellow countryman were one and the same.
How would you treat yourself.
Imagine you were the Leader of Lebanon,
and Lead by example.

just Brilliant Lebanonjon,
and as gary said, i will return to Lebanon as fast as i can (maybe the second behind gary), and i think all the Lebanese living abroad will do. But on the other hand, i do believe that our dream faded with the assassination of Bashir, may he rest in peace, and i can’t see it achieved unless we have a second Bashir, and this looks impossible

Lebanonjon,
I am waiting to see what you described to emerge. I spent half of my life hoping it will happen the next day… Finally, I left with a pain that no medicine can wipe away. I will be back, with my family; in an instant if that Lebanon have emerged.

Two things have to happen…
Iran and Syria have to have a regime change
All the guns in legal forces hands…
Then you’ll have the chance to dream. For now it is a hallucination. The improbable dream!!

I think Gebran Teuni could have been that “leader” and they did to him what they do to all such “leaders”.
Lebanon is a nothing more than a ‘poker chip’ in some sick game in the Mid-East. It will continue as long as the “bluff” works, and Lebanon allows other Nations to hold the table. Quit “dealing” the Constitution as though it was a card. Kick the card sharps out of the game.

That would be a beautiful thing and i will return for good, i left shortly after Bashir was killed at age 14, however if anyone could bring this prosperity and peace to Lebanon, is Bashir. Its been 25yrs since and no one is able to achive this after him and i don’t beleive anybody can.

With all due respect and I am a veteran guys, forget the 10452. This is poetry and Bsshir made a huge mistake by adopting it!Kfarchima-Madfoun seems more of a solution to me, and that was SG’s aim if it wasn’t for that crazy maniac General.
