Irak : les chrétiens persécutés

En ces fêtes de Pâques, le mot “paix” est décliné dans toutes les langues. Par les fidèles des Eglises chrétiennes occidentales qui ont célébré la résurrection, par les dizaines de milliers de marcheurs qui depuis vendredi sillonnent l’Europe du Nord mais aussi par les chrétiens d’Irak, dont la survie est menacée dans un pays ensanglanté quotidiennement.
Depuis la chute du régime de Saddãm Hussein et la montée en puissance des mouvements islamistes, la communauté chrétienne d’Irak est victime d’une véritable hémorragie. Cela a commencé à Bassorah, où nombre de chrétiens chaldéens s’étaient installés pour ouvrir divers commerces, et en particulier des magasins vendant de l’alcool. On comptait quelque 500 familles au début des années 70.
Victimes d’attentats, ils ont tous fui, presque immédiatement après la chute du raïs. Cela a continué à Bagdad et à Mossoul, où l’implantation catholique remonta au premier siècle de l’ère chrétienne. Pendant près d’un an, les membres de cette Eglise ne se sont pas sentis visés pour leur croyance mais d’être victimes, comme les autres Irakiens, de l’anarchie et de l’insécurité générales. Puis, les enlèvements et les meurtres se sont multipliés et ont bouleversé la communauté qui jusqu’alors ne se croyait pas menacés par les islamistes dans ces deux villes.
Le 13 mars 2008, la découverte du corps de Mgr Rahho, évêque de Mossoul, qui avait été enlevé le 29 février à la sortie de la messe, provoque l’émotion de l”ensemble du monde chrétien. Cette mort représente un symbole du martyre enduré par les Chaldéens, menacés depuis cinq ans par les islamistes, qui reprochent à la très ancienne communauté chrétienne de Mésopotamie d’être complice des Américains.
“Des gens sont menacés, kidnappés, tués en pleine semaine sainte !”, s’insurge l’archevêque chaldéen de Kirkouk, Luis Sako. Des actes qui poussent beaucoup à se poser chaque jour la question de l’exil.
Face aux persécutions, les responsables chrétiens irakiens estiment que 75 000 croyants ont quitté le pays pour la Syrie, la Jordanie ou l’Occident. 75 000 autres auraient fui vers le nord de l’Irak, au Kurdistan irakien, où la liberté religieuse est plus grande. Mais arrivés nombreux avec, pour seul bien, les habits qu’ils portaient sur eux au moment de leur fuite, leur intégration pourrait se révéler difficile.
Depuis le début de l’invasion américaine en 2003, au moins 2 millions d’Irakiens ont fui le pays et on estime qu’il reste aujourd’hui moins de 400 000 chrétiens en Irak. Ils étaient au nombre de 636 000 environ en 2005 et encore un million en 1980, car, paradoxe de l’histoire, Saddãm Hussein leur ménageait une relative tranquillité.
Depuis six mois, la multiplication des initiatives a permis d’amorcer un début de prise de conscience des chrétiens de France en faveur de leurs frères d’Orient. Au nom du mouvement Pax Christi, l’évêque de Troyes, Mgr Marc Stenger, qui s’était rendu en Irak en février, a à son retour plaidé pour accueil en Europe des croyants irakiens qui se sont enfuis de leur pays.
Un projet formulé par le ministre des Affaires étrangères Bernard Kouchner en décembre 2007. ”Nous allons, j’espère, en accueillir près de 500 dans les semaines qui viennent et on verra après”, a-t-il déclaré le 19 mars 2008, lors d’un entretien sur RMC et BFM-TVM, en ajoutant que “nous ne refuserons pas d’accueillir des musulmans” mais “le problème, c’est que personne n’accueillait les chrétiens”.
Accueilli avec soulagement par la communauté chaldéenne de France, forte de 15 000 membres environ, vivant majoritairement en région parisienne, cette annonce a suscité quelques réserves. Pierre Henry, directeur de France Terre d’Asile, avait accusé, mardi 18 mars, dans un entretien à l’AFP, le gouvernement de vouloir faire une “opération de communication” en faisant venir ces chaldéens irakiens aux alentours du début de la présidence française de l’Union européenne, qui commence le 1er juillet 2008.

All Iraqis are suffering from the sectarian violence whether Christians, Muslims or even pagans. The sad thing however is the the Christians are suffering from this violence though they are not involved in it like others. I really think that the solution should be a solution for all of Iraq .. any other stuff governments are making all fall into the propaganda nothing more.

Improve your quality of life by learning from the mistakes of others.
Christians in lebanon are not any better than the ones in Iraq. Both of them are weak. Both of them are vanishing.

And if u were reffering to the conlicts that we are having Lebanon, well it’s nothing like that! Our conflicts are purely political as both sides have from all the religions and sects.

You criticize others for claiming that they contradict themselves, and you personally following ur leaders of course contradict urself everyday.
Even though I could write a book while commenting your ideas and replying to ur non sense writings, I will only say one thing that can be enough in my reply to what you wrote here.
the Aounists, meaning you and ur friends always claimed, and maybe they are partially right, that Michel Aoun who worked so hard on the Syrian accountability Act, as well as the issuance of the 1559 decision, which means he was the person who urges the Americans to comeback and take the initiative in Lebanon, and eventually comeback to take Lebanon from the Syrians.
I’m saying that while using your own logic not mine, just to prove that Michel Aoun is just an opportunistic man who just think of his own interest, and to say that you should blame him for bringing the Americans.
So if you’re planning to put an explosive truck in Monot, I suggest better to divert it the Rabieh Villa where MA is living, because maybe in 10 or 15 years he wil bring the Amazonians thinking they could help him to become a President, and they will bring all the snakes and wild animals living there, and we don’t need animals here, we have enough already in the 8th of March movement

Paul what im saying ! is that the only way we can protect ourselves as christians in the middle east is by forgetting the whole idea of importing armies from the west ! or either from the East !
The christians in lebanon failed with the both ! By receiving help from Syrians or christians ! both screwed us in a way or another ! one by bombing us day and night ! and the other by giving us visa and encouraging us to flee out of the country and by implenting the palestinians to replace us !
For me , The christians Should Remain NEUTRAL in the Mid east ! totaly Neutral ! i was hoping that there wouldnt be 2 sided in Lebanon but there is ….If lebanon can not be united ! then let the Christians stay neutral in the conflict ! the mid people who will try to help Both sunnas and Shiaas to get along !

Tarek Hezbllah always mention defending lebanon from any american invasion , it never said it will attack america , but it will consider America as Israel Since American has been behind the decision making and supplier for all israelis war . What they say is totaly logic !

Your comment is full of contradictions,the idea that the chi3a can protect us is wrong,nobody can protect us neither usa nor hezbollah.we will very quickly fall down at the moment when syria gives the “execution” of HA free…my personal opinion is everybody needs a strong friend,even the united States needs europe in iraq and everywhere,we just can not take a friend whom his days are numbered…we can be friends to all other lebanese religions i admit with you that chi3a are moderater than the EXTREMIST sunni´s, but not the normal sunni´s, and what you have forgot is those EXTREMISTS has killed too many sunni´s… i can remember the attacks in SA.and those people are a problem to the whole world…perhaps you believe that HA really sacred and forever…If so??? then it is pointless to discuss.

What Arze means by neutral is like the Dhimmi cocnept. Some Aounists think that if the Christians act like domesticated pets then they will be safe, it is like buying protection from the Mafia gang.
This is Mercantile thinking, people who have no principle in life have no problem being practical with the dictators like Saddam and Assad, they don’t try to fix society they just try to patch it up so they will be ok. In the end they get screwed because the deal will fall when the dictator will fall.
Arze is afraid of the Sunni extremist who calls him Kuffar, so he prefers Nasrallah who pets him on the head and promise to protect him if he stays Dhimmi. But Arze can still scream Hurriye Siyede Isti2lel so he feels like a free pet, not a caged animal.

Paul i never SAid HA protects us …I said its a mutual interest between the Christians the Shi3a to ally facing the Palestinian implementation….
I also said Neutrality for the Christians is the best choice ! but unfortunatly Geagae , Saad , and jumblat give u no choice ! We as christians who faught the palestinians can not stand Neutral Facing the implementations of the palestinian
Regarding the sunnas ! the moderated ones constitutes 10 % in lebanon the remaining are extremist ! to a point that some says because of poverty i can be a terrorist to feed my family ! That was the Hariri policy , make them starve …and now we are paying the price of that startvation
On the other side 95 % of the shiaa are poor , but moderate towards the Christians , they dont slaughter , they dont call us kuffar , they dont see us as Americans etc….They have big beards and wear shador , dont drink alcohol (some of them ) but at least are moderate
How ever we dont need Any Strong Country to back us ! We can stay neutral …we do not need them …
I dont need a country who made Kissinger plan , or another country who for some times have perwsecuted me for dozens of years ! All i need is God and each other ….not more…not less !

ففي مساء 29 شباط وبعد انتهاء طقوس درب الصليب في الكنيسة, غادر الشهيد متوجها الى بيته برفقة الشهداء الثلاثة (السائق والحارس واحد المرافقين) حيث اعترضت سيارته مجموعة مسلحة من 6-8 اشخاص من الملثمين يستقلون سيارتين احداها من نوع مازدا رصاصية اللون والاخرى لم يتم التعرف الى تفاصيلها اكثر من انها ذات لون اسود كونها كانت تقف على مسافة 50-75 متر, وما ان اجبر القتلة المطران ومرافقيه الثلاث على الترجل من سيارتهم حتى بادر المجرمون بقتل المرافق والحارس وكذلك السائق البطل الذي حاول الدفاع عن المطران والاخرين, فادى ذلك الى مقتل الثلاثة واصابة المطران في جنبه وعنقه, حيث شوهد وهو يبكي ويصرخ ويلطم على وجهه حزنا على قتل المرافقين الابرياء, وبينما كان المطران المصاب يُسحل الى سيارة القتلة كان احد المرتزقة مشغولا بفك اصابع احد الشهداء عن حقيبة لم تكن تضم سوى كتب التراتيل الكنسية فصاح به القاتل الاخر (Pela,,Pela ) وهي تعني بالكردية (اتركه) ومضوا. وبالرغم من ان المطران كان قد فارق الحياة في يوم 2 او 3 من الشهر الجاري متاثرا بجراحه حسب تقرير الطب العدلي, الا ان المفاوضين كانوا حذقين في مسالة اصرارهم على التحدث الى المطران في مقابل استمرار المفاوضات لدفع الفدية المطلوبة وهي 1,000,000 مليون دولار امريكي. الامر الذي دفع بالمجرمين الى دفن الجثة في حي الانتصار جنوبي الموصل بعد ان ياسوا من محاولة المفاوضين.
ان الذين اغتالوا المطران الشهيد ورفاقه هم نفسهم الذين اغتالوا الاب الشهيد رغيد ورفاقه من قبل, وهم نفسهم الذين اعتقلوا الكاتب الاشوري جوني خوشابا ((وبالتهديد)) وليس كما قيل ((بالتعهد)) منع من نشر افكاره وفضح مؤامرات الخونة, وهم نفسهم الذين فجروا محلة الزنجيلي في الموصل, وهنا نتساءل! من يملك جرأة الخطف والقتل في حي سكني (يقع في الجانب الايسر من مدينة الموصل) وعلى مقربة 150 متر تقريبا من مقر الحزب الديمقراطي الكردستاني!! في وقت استنكرت وتبرأت من مسؤولية هذه الاعمال البربرية كل الحركات الوطنية والدينية مثل هيئة علماء المسلمين وما يسمى بدولة العراق الاسلامية!! ان كل المعطيات تشير الى ان الميلشيات الكردية هي التي تقوم بعمليات الخطف والقتل والابتزاز في مركز محافظة نينوى وتستهدف المسيحيين بالذات من اجل اركاعهم وترهيبهم واخيرا لاجبارهم على دعم المشروع الكردي لضم سهل نينوى الى اقليمهم المزعوم, ويذكر ان الشهيد المطران وقف بكل قوة ضد هذا المشروع المشبوه وطالما دعا في القداديس الى نبذه ورفضه الى ان تمت (دعوته) من قبل حامل لواء تكريد سهل نينوى السيد سركيس اغا جان لينقل له (وعيد) سيده نجرفان البرزاني اذا ما استمر المطران في رفضه لما يسمى بمشروع الحكم الذاتي وسلخ سهل نينوى عن محيطه الكلدواشوري السرياني والعراقي الاصيل, خصوصا بعد ان رفض الشهيد الهدايا (الرشاوى) المالية الطائلة التي عرضها عليه اغا جان بعد ان قبلها كل من ينادي بتكريد سهل نينوى من سياسيين ورجال دين ومرتشين وغيرهم.
يكذب وينافق وفي نفس الوقت يعرف كل الحقيقة كل من يدعي بتبراة المرتزقة الاكراد مما يجري بحق شعبنا من اعمال القتل والتهجير والخطف, واغلبهم فضل خيار ملأ الجيوب على خيار التهديد في مقابل التغني بمشروع الحكم الذاتي المشبوه او السكوت المهين وهو اضعف الايمان, لا اخفي انني احيانا اقول اننا نستحق ما يجري بحقنا, وانه لن يحل علينا السلام الحقيقي طالما استمر رجال الدين بالتحول من خادم للرب الكبير الى مقاول لسركيس الصغير, وطالما بقي وزيرنا السياحي يحيي الحجارة الميتة ويميت الروح الحية, وطالما يستمر ابناء العوائل المعروفة ببيع تاريخ ابائهم من اجل (مونيكا) ومنصب في المجلس الشعبي القطاري لصاحبه اغا جان وشركائه.
ولكن,, دماء الشرفاء عزيزة وغالية, وارواحهم هدى منيرة, وشعبنا الكلدواشوري هو شعب عراقي ابي واصيل في ارضه, وسيبقى مثالا للتضحية من اجل غد خالٍ من براثن الخونة وعفونة المرتشين وبائعي الامة. وستبقى روح شهيد التسامح المطران بولص فرج رحو صارخة بوجه كل من يقبل بالمشروع المشبوه.

Are you crazy Arze? Where are you living Arze? Bil malfofeh shaklo!!!! not more that 0.01%of the sunnis are extremists. In all my life I met like 2 non moderate sunnis, they can’t be even classified extremist.
For HA, you can call them what ever you want to, they are a Syrian-Iranian militia just like La7id’s Israeli militia.

You made me read Arze’s comments and it caused me to laugh . See her statistics “10% of Sunnis are extremist and 95% of Shiites are moderate”, WOW. The statistics were done by Syria TV I believe.
I think “Mills and Boon” is more of Arze’s style, she probably imagines Aoun as the hero and her as the heroine.

Haha and I am from the North ya Arze ya 7elwe enti, though I did not live there much but I know what goes on ya genious. I did visit the Da7yie once and never again, no offense. There is nothing more pitiful than denial and twisting facts.
If it makes you feel better to believe that Shiites are more peaceful and loving than Sunnis, so you can excuse your heroic General’s recent alliances, then by all means do but do not shove stupid and false facts down our throats. Instead of debating which Muslim side is better, Christians should work together to strengthen their situation because frankly in Lebanon nothing is to be relied on.
