I want to share with 2 points:

(1) There are massive tunnels in Naher El Bared. I have read about one that starts in Naher El Bared and ends in a shop in the middle of Tripoli behind the Army lines. I am sure there is many other that goes to other areas. This was Abou Amar planning. It is highly probable that Al Absi ran away using one of these tunnels and overcoming the army besiege without having to think about conspiracy theory.

(2) Jumblat is playing it wisely. Whether Sleiman is with bashar or not, it is stupid to alienate him at the moment. He is the only arms with the possibility of standing in face of HA... no good will come by alienating him... while praising him might keep him on the neutral... Don't you agree?

It will all come back to 14th of March and what they decide.
If Hakim and Christians are to do the same mistake once again, its maybe better for them to retire and leave the country !

I cannot imagine having this guy as our president.

kel hal generalet akhra min ba3don...
it's not only about chaker l 3absi, but also all the fath l islam leaders disappeared (and we know who sent them to lebanon at the beginning)...
for sure and u don't have to be a genius to know that a deal was done...
in the first days of nahr el bared battle, everyone excpected that everything will be finished in several days right? and than it took 3 months, to finish suddenly before 20 days of the presidential elections and who took all the credit???
several days before the end he made his famous speech about the innocence of syria (and it's not his job to accuse or defend anyone).. it was a political speech for presidency...
furthermore, only 8th march wants to change the constitution so michel suleyman can be a president (bcause they know that it's impossible for them to have a president from them)..
the army institution is one of the more corrupted institutions in lebanon.. let's remember what happened in january 23rd..
if the lfers didn't interfere, the army was watching the "coup d'etat" being done by the opposition...
anyway let's hope that we will not get another general or ex-general as president or else "MNEKHBOZ BIL FRA7"...
cheers

Very possible. Sleiman even predicted the exact timing of the fall of Bared. Things started to turn to the army's favour the moment Sleiman said what he said about the no involvement of Syria with Fateh al Isslam. A deal definately was stuck somewhere with the Syrians.

Eiffel,

U're right in every question u asked, and i think we all have the answer for that, the answer for ur title. YES, i think and many of us think that he broker a deal, and i think Junblatt and others from 14 March know that.

Bass 163 Martyrs don't deserve that.
History is repeating itself,

AOUN in 1990 fled and left his soldiers to die,
SLEIMAN now is making deals with his soldiers blood,

LAHOUD did it during the 1990's, i don't remember which year exactly, in Ain Hilwi Camp, many Lebanese soldiers were killed in the back at that time when they were fighting with Palestinians in the camp.
