I think it’s quite strange that the day went by and no one on the Lebanese blogsphere mentioned anything about the International Day of Human Rights and the prominent role played by Dr. Charles Malik.

The Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR) was proclaimed on December 10, 1948. NOW Lebanon has published an article about Dr. Malik’s early career as a philospher and diplomat.

    Its quite astonishing how readers care less about such a valuable post …

    Dr.Malek is the backbone of Our cause .. Human Rights are the values we have been defending for hundreds of years ..

    Freedom of expression and faith is the reason our martyrs died …

    It’s sad when you look at Malik’s work in UDHR and then see how people in this country are acting like ones back in the stone age.
