Breaking News
According to reliable sources, the Iranian government has ordered one of its battleships to patrol in the Mediterranean Sea and in the national waters of Lebanon in an act perceived as deterrent to the Americans. The Iranian Defense Administration ordered this battleship to remain in close proximity to USS Cole to ensure that the Lebanese allies will feel secure and relieved that the American influence will not prevail. The battleship is named IRN Shkor.
The official confirmed to us that the Lebanese will now have “Cole W Shkor” available after every meal.
Bon Appetit!

The situation wouldn’t be so messed up if february 14 forces accepted to give the opposition half it’s rights.
8. Rodge | March 4th, 2008 at 5:25 pm
Libanon,
Did you hear about majority and minority after elections??? I wonder if the 8th of March people won the majority what Lebanon would be now.
Also ur 8th of March people can’t be satisfied, they always want more, not for them but because Syria wants more, it wants all Lebanon.
The problem in Lebanon is not about sharing, half or 2 thirds or whatever, i shoulds remind you that during the last 15 years or so, i mean before 2005, all those who were in power have refused to share or to give, among them Amal of Berri, SSNP, and most of the Pro-Syrians of today.
So please don’t post meaningless accusations, since the truth says that the 14th of March people have offered a lot, and that was their mistake.
9. libanon | March 4th, 2008 at 5:43 pm
You seem to forget how this majority came to be.
You seem to forget that the mp’s of february 14 in the north won by using 100$ bribes on a scale never seen before in the history of mankind.
You seem to forget that the mp’s of february 14 in beirut, chouf, and b2a3 won by using an unconstitutional electoral law that united christian and muslim areas in a way that muslims would always be a majority and christians a minority.(Hasn’t it ever crossed your mind how the person who got 75% of the christian votes got only one third of the christian mp’s).
You seem to forget that the february 14 mp’s of b3abda 3aley won by tricking hezbollah into believing that they would preserve their weapons(as Jumblat said: “SILA7 HIZBALLAH M2ADDASS”), which got february 14 all the shia votes, ou aoun bikoun ribi7 law ma shallo aldoustour february 14 ba3d ma addam tou3oun.
10. libanon | March 4th, 2008 at 5:54 pm
The opposition deserves more than half the goverment but they only ask for one third.
February 14 has offered nothing(I doubt you can contradict me);and aoun has renounced the presidency.
The only reason february 14 refuses to give the opposition altilt al mu3attil,altilt al mujrim, tilt iran ou souriya is because they fear the opposition will stop the tawteen and the corruption(and because george bush gave them strict orders)
And about what you said about the people who during the last 15 years occupied the goverment, well you are 100% right!
11. Rodge | March 4th, 2008 at 6:15 pm
Libanon,
It’s good that we agree on something in the end, but let me tell argue with you about the other things.
You said “using 100$ bribes on a scale never seen before in the history of mankind”. Do you have any proof for that??? of course not, and i should tell you that everythime a looser in elections said the same thing.
about what u called “the unconstitutional electoral law that united christian and muslim areas in a way that muslims would always be a majority and christians a minority”. Isn’t ur leader Aoun who’s calling for a Presidfentioal election through the people???? so don’t u see a contradiction here? and what about the last by-elections in Metn, can u tell me who helped Aoun’d deputy to win? aren’t they the shiites votes??? it’s a double standard weapon and even though the law is not good, but it is still legal and ur friends Amal and HA also benefited from the same law in the south, or you only see what u want.
You also said “tricking hezbollah into believing that they would preserve their weapons”. the Question here should be who was the ones who tricked the other??? and regardless, don’t you hear about Politics and the deals done with it?? so the alliance of Aoun with all those people is a friendhsip or love??? its politics.
about you saying “February 14 has offered nothing(I doubt you can contradict me);and aoun has renounced the presidency”. I like that joke. First i will contradict you saying that March 14 has refused going to the electionms by half +1, also they accepted Michel Sleiman who was the opposition candidate, they agrred on giving the opposition 10 seats in the Government, they agreed to negociate a lot, they agreed the Arab initiative etc…
Now Aoun renounced the Presidency??? he could do anything you can think of, but renouncing the presidency??? never… He lived all his life for that, and he still have that dream, and fortunately it will stay a dream that would never turn to relaity thank God.
And last the joke and the lie of the tawteen and corruption, can you bring me someone more corrupted than Berri, Murr, Frangieh, Wahhab, and many of the Opposition people??? stop playing with these slogans, and start to clarify where are the money raised by Aoun in 198 and 1990 from the peopole.

“It’s good that we agree on something in the end.”I was talking about your cedar revolution heroes.
Wa2ta michel aoun addam tou3oun 3al majlis al doustoure byittihimon la 14 shbat bi alza3bara bil intikhebet shallou.Hayda birhan kfeye 2innkon sta3malto alrashwe.
“Isn’t ur leader Aoun who’s calling for a Presidfentioal election through the people????”
What part of 75% of christian votes giving one third of christian mp’s didn’t you understand? An election from the peaple would actually give more representivity to the christians since they can get only 16% of parliment(and refusing it proves you are a minority). And in the last metn elections sunnis and drouz voted for amin too(not to mention half of michel murr’s followers)
“the Question here should be who was the ones who tricked the other”.When did hizballah trick 14 shbat? And even if they did so what?(What goes around comes around, al3ayn bil3ayn wal sinn bil sinn)
“First i will contradict you saying that March 14 has refused going to the electionms by half +1″.They refused to go against what the contitution says?WOW!What a sacrifice!(geagea had said a long time ago that election with two-thirds of parliment was the only contitutional way to elect a president).
“also they accepted Michel Sleiman who was the opposition candidate”michel suleiman is not the opposition candidate ,it was michel el murr(who is presently 90% resigned from takattul altaghyeer wal 2isla7)who said that he is the opposition candidate.Aoun was the only candidate for the opposition, michel sleiman is more inclined to the US than syria .
“they agrred on giving the opposition 10 seats in the Government” When did they agree on giving ten seats??!! That’s what the opposition has been demanding for months!
The arab league is just another US puppet that agrees with february 14 on everything, the only thing your leaders agreed on was more negtiating and time wasting to keep senira’s goverment in power.By the way aoun has renounced the presidency(Watch the news for a change)
Al tawteen came out of the mouth of your precious leader of freedom and democracy george bush, and the only way israel can get rid of hizballah is by getting rid of the refugees. And it’s a fact that all of the february 14 are corrupt(except carlos edde),and the majority of the opposition are clean(hizballah and aoun),the rest are frafeet.
So I think the opposition can fight corruption.
“start to clarify where are the money raised by Aoun in 1988 and 1990 from the peopole.”
It was used to pay the salaries of the soldiers under aoun’s command.

you can compare Michel aoun with oskar la fontaine , i´m sure you know him”both are shutter bags as long as they are in the opposition.
Michel aoun ruled once and has failed,we don´t want to be naive and give him the full power again.

How did Aoun fail? By bridging tribal religious hatred? By being the only person to stand agaisnt syrian presence IN lebanon?
In the end ofcourse he could not win because the whole fucking world was against him (USA,syria, israel, vatican)

Libanon: Do you accept the the new minister for interior to be from LF ?
Do you accept the minister of Justice to be from LF ?
Do you accept a minister of defense to be LF ?
Do you accept the new speaker of the parliament to be from FM ?
I guess no for all, and what do you want ??
Minister of defense from Hizbulla
Minister of Interior from Amal
Minister of Justice FPM
Minister of Finance to be Weam Wahhab
and the funniest one Minister of tourism from Hizbulla:
Come see Lebanon, come to the south, if we don’t take you as a hostage, we will at least show you a war or two.
You are a Militia Militia Milita, you have no political rights.
YOU ARE OUTLAWS, CRIMINALS, THIEVES, TRAITORS WHO WORK FOR SYRIA AND YOU BRIBE YOUR PEOPLE WITH SALARIES, NOT 100$ PER VOTE. YOU STEAL ELECTRICITY, YOU OCCUPY LAND THAT IS NOT YOURS AND YOU WANT MONEY TO LEAVE A HOUSE THAT IS NOT EVEN YOURS.
YOU DESTROY YOUR OWN HOUSES AND EXPECT THE GOVERNMENT TO PAY FOR IT.
You die for Iran and want the government to raise your kids . You are a coalition of SCUM and Thieves, Murderes and Spies. You make bombs for a living and destroy countries for your hobbies and YOU WANT RIGHTS ?????
You DON’t Deserve a seat in the parliament, you deserve to SIT on your famous KHAZOU2 Al ASSAD.

28. Fad14 | March 5th, 2008 at 1:35 pm
Ya Alloush,
You talk to me as if mixed is bad or a shame. Yes I AM, Sunni Father and Maronite Mother. My Uncles fought in Ain el Rimmeneh from day 1 of the war and I lost cousins from 1975 to 1990.
Lost 11 houses in the war.
I was injured twice, once by the syrians and once by Michel Aoun.
My Mom was sniped by Hizbulla Snipers in 84
My dad was shot, sniped, injured by Amal and the Syrians and Ishtirakieh.
I have Shiaa cousins and Druze relatives.
I was kicked and punched by Amal in 1988 for 1/2 hour for I “smuggled” a bowl of Tabbouleh from West Beirut to East Beirut.
I will stop attacking you in person and sorry if I have been over the edge many times.
29. Michele | March 5th, 2008 at 2:24 pm
Fad 14, u are not attacking Ali in ur postings but attacking his comments and his opinions. And that is the idea of this forum i guess, is to discuss different opinions. We do get sometimes out of the way but of course none of us means bad.
And being mixed is defintely not a bad thing as Ali expressed but “au contraire” it’s a great thing.
Cheers amigo!
30. Rodge | March 5th, 2008 at 3:22 pm
Well Fad14,
You should apologize to anyone, and after reading ur life story, I think they (many people) should apologize to you, I know u’re proud of urself and you should.
Ali,
I think you made a mistake by accusing Fad14 of being mixed, it’s like u’re saying it is something wrong, while in my opinion it is not at all, in fact it is more than good to have mixed religious origins which does not mean a mixed blood, since we are all Lebanese.
Ali,
Your idea says it is wrong to defend Christians and stand up for Sunnis at the same time. Are you really serious?????
Well I should tell you that the right thing is to defend all the 18 Lebanese sects, among them Christians, Sunnis, Shias, and Druzes.
31. libanon | March 5th, 2008 at 4:14 pm
I think I’m gonna cry.
32. Rodge | March 5th, 2008 at 5:19 pm
As for Libanon,
my dear Libanon, what can I say, you just repeat everything you said in your earlier comment, and I just replied to that, so if we gonna stay all the year circulating around the same issue, it is better not to write.
You’re still convinced that Aoun (still) representing 75% of the Christians, which is soooooooooooooooo wrong. When you gonna realize that things have changed????
Even though, and if he still has the 75%?? u’re so far from the point i raised, i’m saying that his call to make the presidential elections done by the people means that the Christians can’t choose the Maronite President, since they count about 35% from the Lebanese population. How about that?
Whether you admit it or not, Michel Aoun was not the opposition candidate, they were using him just like they have used the candidacy of Michel Sleiman, and when the real time come, they alweays change their mind.
Typical, just like Berri have done it, do I have to remind you of his famous speech in Baalbeck??? ask your friends about it. Do I have to remind you what he said about the choice of the Patriarche saying he will act accortdingly?? also toli3 fafoush.
About the 10 seats, masny of the majority suggestions include 10 seats for the opposition, among them 13-10-7 OR 14-10-6 OR 11-10-9 etc… Do your homework in reviewing them.
The Arab league is just an American puppet, unbelievable how much you hate the Americans and how much u’re influenced by the idea of conspiracy and that everything is American. Come on grow up. The Arab League is a puppet and I agree, but it is puppet for everybosy because Arabs were, are and will still weak.
You said all the February 14 are corrupt. maybe I don’t know who they are, I know there are 8th of Masrch and 14th of March, but i don’t know any group called February 14. You’re asking for sharing and can’t even leave us the name we chose for ourselves???? GHARIB.
Anyway, i will clarify one thing, in 14th of March group, i will name the following as non corrupt:
- Samir Geagea: for God’s sake he spent 11 years in prison underground, at least respect his sacrifice, the LF necer been in power to be corrupt.
- Amin Gemayel: just FYI he didn’t reach one Million Dollars in his wealth. maybe he’s not good in Politics, maybe he has done many mistakes, but I don’t think someone who raised Pierre Gemayel, the brother of Bashir and the son of Pierre is corrupt.
- Boutros Harb: and he proved it when he took the reswponsibility in many ministries, mainly the Ministry of Education.
- Dory Chamoun, the son of the great Camille Chamoun, and he was all that time with Michel Aoun, so if you’re accusing him…
- Carlos Edde: you said it urself, no need for any comment.
- Fares Said: everybosy knows how much he’s straight, even if you don’t agree with him in politics.
- Nayla Moawad: I have her portfolio on helping many associations and federations and educational centers.
- Saad Hariri: Maybe some people have to say a lot about his father and his wealth, but i see Saad as very respectful and straight. Also, at least Rafic Hariri helped many youth to get education as well as helping many other families.
- Marwan Hamade: He’s among the most respectful people in Lebanon as A Minister and a peson.
- Our Martyrs: Gebran Tueini, Samir Kassir, Pierre Gemayel, George Hawi, Pierre Gemayel, Antoine Ghanem, can anyone accuse them of being corrupt???
I don’t know about the rest, and i don’t say anything i’m not convinced of it.
In return, let me count:
Nabih Berri - Michel Murr - Sleiman Frangieh, Nasser Kandil - Ali Kanso - Assem Kanso - Emile Lahoud - Wi’am Wahhab - the Syrians who were responsible in Lebanon Rustom Ghazale and Co. remember the Casino fund, the Electricity Ministry, the borders etc…
And last my dear Libanon, you asked me if i accept the president to be as powerless figure. Of course not, but don’t you think that putting conditions on him in advance will lead to making him powerless??? Come on and allow the elections in order to put the President where he should be so that the Sunni PM as u said can rest.
Or you don’t see ella Generalkoun 2awi???
finally, I didn’t use any of the unrespected sentences you used, but I should tell you ne7na law binbous sarami kinna 3milniha min zamen, see you General who’s kissing every boot to become president, and in this regard he choosed the most filthy boot of the Syrians and their agents in Lebanon. The facist is ur General who may accept to kill all the Lebanese people so that he becomes President on himself.
Don’t bother urself to reply the sasme way, make some effort to improve ur arguments
33. libanon | March 5th, 2008 at 8:44 pm
-”i’m saying that his call to make the presidential elections done by the people means that the Christians can’t choose the Maronite President, since they count about 35% from the Lebanese population. How about that?”
35% is still better than 16%(which is what christians have in parliment)
-”unbelievable how much you hate the Americans and how much u’re influenced by the idea of conspiracy and that everything is American”
who wanted to take all the christians to canada in a ship and turn lebanon into the new palestinian homeland?Wasn’t it the US?
who was it who made the ta2if agreement to get rid of the christians and all of lebanon? The US of course.
You think the US likes you , but they don’t give a s–t about you.All they care about is israel’s power and the oil flow.
As for FEBRUARY 14 corruption, I can sum it up in two questions:

They have stripped our president of whatever powers he had left under the excuse that he is one of the remnants of the syrian regime(conviniently forgetting to mention that so were they). What makes you think they wouldn’t keep on doing it after the election of another president, what makes you think they will give him 10 seats in the goverment if he is elected before an agreement?
