People seem to forget the 11 years Hakim spent in prison !!! They forgot the suffering and torture he went through while being jailed in the most inhuman conditions !

If i critisize today Hakim’s actions, that doesnt mean i stopped respecting him or his past achievements!!
I used to defend Hakim like no one else did, i even helped making a site dedicated to him !!

The man was a great warrior once, he was the one who started the first war against Syrians in Bcharreh !
He was the one who freed Koura and Dedde of the Syrians and Palestinians !!
He was the one who defied Elie Hobeika and failed the tri-party agreement !!
He was the one who defeated Amine Gemayel and Elie Hobeika and Michel Aoun and kept the Christian regions free !
He was the one who defied Jumblatt and his forces in the Mountain war and saved thousands of Christians !

Many mistakes were done during the war, but no Aounist or whomever has any right to critisize Geagea in anyway !

The man was jailed for 11 years for crimes he did not do ! No he did not kill Frangieh and whomever accuses him of that crime is a total idiot and ignorant to say the least ! And no he did not kill Chamoun nor caused the Nahr el Mot genocide nor the Mat7af murder nor the Chamoun murder !

Samir Geagea was a great fighter who saved the LF after Bashir was killed and did a tremendous job to keep it alive and managed to do so until he was jailed ..

If we critisize his decisions now, that doesnt mean we regret defending him before ! He is still the wise leader and the idole we all set for ourselves at one point in time !

“Nothing would stop the tribunal. It will be an international tribunal that would issue a charge sheet this year,” he said.
The tribunal, according to Geagea, “wouldn’t just deal with the Hariri assassination, but would also shed light on what has happened in Lebanon in the past 30 years.”

Those were words from Hakim’s press release few days ago after his long visit to the USA.

One week ago, Canadian prosecutor Daniel Bellemare declared the former Lebanese Prime Minister Rafik Hariri was assassinated by a “criminal network”.

I was surprised no one commented on that post, even though it holds very serious implications, since it hints that Syria might get away with its crimes. Using the technical word “criminal network” takes out the many indirect and direct blames Mehlis had at first put then Brammertz against Syria.

March 14 should understand toppling the Syrian regime is not on the US agenda, and that the Americans are stuck in Iraq and are having serious problems. They will never risk toppling the only regime that is capable of handling terrorist organizations. Jumblatt was mistaken when asking for the end of the Syrian regime last week …

March 14 are facing a serious challenge now ..
What if the UN doesnt accuse the Syrian Regime of the murder? What have we been fighting for ??

That would be a major blow to us of course, Syria coming back to Lebanon is disastrous.

Another great editorial by Dr.Antoine Najm

Federalism is the starting point

( I add one question: Who killed Ramzi and did any inquiry take place on that awful crime ?? )

Our loyalty to Ramzi Irani is the same to all Lebanon’s martyrs? Are you loyal to the martyrs of Hebollah the same way you are loyal to martyr Ramzi? Kif haideh? Or is it saf hakeh la nihke and as we say in Arabic haida “Hashou”?

Who changed it you? The LF? Who? When the LF raised the slogan an institution towards the future, at that time there was also no republic, no consitutions, nothing ….
Switching the slogan and the work form building an institution that is looking towards the future, to build a democratic party, to present its project, its plans and its ideas for a solution, a better future, ….. To an institution to lift up the republic is a major mistake. If you can’t lift yourself first you will never be able to lift anything else. Unless the Republic you want to build today is build on a farm and feudalism.

By the way, when Ramzi was assassinated, where were you Mr. LF deputy and Vice President of the LF? Matter of fact where were you since 1995 till the day you were elected a deputy?

Just couple of free LF minds are still questioning while the rest are clapping.

Dahieh, the economic heart of Lebanon, is going on strike starting tomorrow.
Lebanon’s biggest CEOs, including Abu Hadi, Abu 7assin and Abo cho7atta decided to stop bread production as of today evening since the Ministry of Finance has not yet provided them with the essential quantities of flour.

Abu Hadi, CEO & founder of Al Hadi Bakery, one of the leading bakeries in the suburbs declared that the ‘illegal’ government is not giving them enough amounts of flour. He was angrily shouting and yelling and cursing on how he was unable to supply the Tents yesterday with enough bread ..

Yes it is all the “illegal” government’s mistake ..

(End of joke) :-)

This is by far the peak of arrogance !

Ma bye3terfo bil 7koume 2ella wa2et el ch7ade wa wa2ta baddoun yo2bado !

Eitherway, Sami Haddad clearly declared there is no crisis .. so life goes on … woulli jou3an yirou7 3and 7assouna !! 3ando rat burgers gher chekel !

Everytime i read a statement by Jamil el Sayyed, i think to myself : ” When will this tribunal come to judge this criminal and his three companions and silence him for good ?? “

Former director of Lebanese General Security, Major General Jamil Al-Sayyed has been in detention, along with three other high-level officers, for suspicion of involvement Hariri’s assassination since September 2005.

Since then, he has been attacking judges & the international tribunal committee, as well as the government and calls for his release everytime. In summary, the man is playing “le tout pour le tout” before the tribunal is officially launched.

But his fate is known and will not change, he is guilty and his past and present speak for themselves.

Lebanon Boycotts Damascus Summit

As i was hoping for, Lebanon boycotted the Arab Summit being held in Damascus and most of the major Arab countries showed support by sending low-level delegations.

It is refreshing to see M14 boycotting Syrians officially and the Arabs almost boycotting Syrians as well.
I truly hope the next step will be closing the borders and stoppig all diplomatic relations until Syria leaves us alone ..

We shall never win any battle against this barbaric regime unless we take extreme and decisive measures ..

From Naharnet:

(Arabic Version)

Lebanese Forces leader Samir Geagea said Monday Hizbullah does not want a civil war in Lebanon, contrary to Syrian President Bashar Assad’s regime that works to ignite such a civil strife.
Geagea made the remark in an address to the Lebanese community in Los Angeles.

“Had Hizbullah accepted Syria’s plans to start a civil war we would have been in civil war,” Geagea said.

Hizbullah, he added, “does not want a civil war because it is not part of its strategy.”

“The Syrian regime is trying to hurl Lebanon into civil war, but did not succeed due to weakness of its allies,” Geagea added.

He said the International Tribunal “would not only expose those who killed ex-Premier Rafik Hariri (in 2005) but would also disclose who killed Maarouf Saad (in 1975) and who committed all the other crimes.

Its been few days i havent heard of any activity Dr.Geagea has one in the states, no mention of him in the news, papers or whatsoever ..

Easter passed and no mention of him attending any mass in the states ?
No visits to US officials anymore .. no visit to Bush yet ..

If anyone has info concerning his activities the past few days, kindly post them.

Looks like i got my answers :

Update 1: Event on the 23rd of March.

Thanks Appo & Richy.

We blamed Aounists before and attacked them for disrespecting the Patriarch in their group ..

Then i see LFers going to their level …
I suggest if anyone knows who was after that group to ask him to close it for two main reasons :

1- LF never goes into such levels (At least not the one i know).
2- Putting a martyrs’ related pic as a profile picture for this crappy group is big insult and disrespect to them.

Dar El Fatwa organized an event in Tripoli for celebrating the birth of Prophet Muhammad and invited many personalities, mainly the secretary general of Jamaa Islamiyya Fayssal Moulawi, Wajih el Baarini, Assaaad Harmouche, Omar Miskawi, FM representative Abdel Ghani Kabbara etc …

From Annahar

What was interesting were the speeches given by Al Cha33ar and Moulawi ..

I thought Jamaa Islamiyya was FM’s ally, and Tripoli was won by FM ..
How come we have its Sheikh supporting HA ??

Those extremist groups are a serious threat to Lebanon and its moderate Sunnites mainly …
Those are highly vulnerable to brainwashing and what differentiates them from becoming terrorists is a very fine thin line ..

Hariri and his Future movement should either step away from those people or control them ..
We cant be in a strategic alliance with an ally backing such groups ..

Here is the link to his interview with Afkar Magazine.

I am not sure how an ignorant can speak of such a project that way …
I am not sure how Hakim really believes Federalism is no more valid …

Tlo3na ma3 Joe Sarkis ” Eastern Arabs who never thought of instauring a Christian state !!”

Tlo3na Arabs bi ekhrit hal zaman !

Is that the new LF ?

Thank you Mr.Mehlis for shutting Jamil el Sayyid’s mouth once and for all.

This came in part of his last interview concerning the tribunal and Lebanon in general hosted by May Chidiac on LBC.

Mehlis insisted that the detainment of the four former security chiefs is legal.

“As an observer, I think their detainment is fully legal,” he said.

Surete Generale’s Jamil al-Sayyed, Ali al-Hajj of the Internal Security Forces, Raymond Azar of the Army Intelligence and Mustafa Hamdan of the Presidential Guards Brigade have been detained since August 2005 for alleged involvement in Hariri’s killing.

“We had indications that they were planning to leave the country and most importantly we had indications of their strong involvement in the murder,” Mehlis told Chidiac, adding that he had never seen “an official U.N. recommendation to release the suspects.”

Not that i really care about those elections, i have stated in many previous posts that such university elections should be cancelled since they are harming the students who are orienting their campaigns politically instead of academically.

However, what surprised me is that what made the FPM win was the fact that they had older candidates ????
In fact, LF won 10 seats and FPM won 8 seats, but 2 seats were won then by the FPM after a tie in the votes !

I am not sure who is the brilliant behind that electoral rule, but since when the oldest candidate wins if there is a tie ??

Simple example : If a candidate failed a whole year and is behind, he will win over a candidate who is on his first year and passing all his courses ?? ya3ne bil 3arabe el mchabra7 .. iza wa7ad toch wou sa2it kel sfoufo .. he has an advantage if he ties with a new student who s having straight As ??

That is so stupid.

He is by far the most corrupted, filthy and unfortunatelly smart politican ( if i dare call him politician) Christians had.

He is nowadays the ally to have on your side if you wanna win elections in Mount Lebanon, or if you wanna keep your business running, or anything you might think of. He started of as a businessman, and made his money mostly out of illegal deals.
Some go to say he is a CIA Agent who robbed money from ex-Congo leader Mobuto ( hundreds of millions of dollars).

In 2005, he allied with Aoun and won the Matn elections.
Elias el Murr, his son, is almost killed in an assassination attempt that same year. He indirectly accused Syrians of his murder.

In 2006, Aoun signed the understanding with Hezbollah and Michel el Murr started slowly changing his positions towards the Aoun alliance.

Two weeks ago or even less, Michel el Murr attacked Aoun and his mps saying they are to be held responsible for not having a president.

Few days ago, he says if he is not invited to the Aoun bloc meeting, he will quit it.

This same man stood with Bashir, then with Amine, then with the Syrians, then with Aoun, then is approaching March 14 now.
He threatened, bribed, jailed people who opposed him, he is a mafioso who controls his followers.

However, he is the “politican” you need to approach if you wanna win elections in Mount Lebanon.

Why am i writing all this ?
To show you how far behind in politics we are, how far behind we Christians are …

From people like Camille Chamoun, Pierre Gemayel & Bashir …. to having ur fate under the hands of a thief dishonest feudal lord.

“Je compte sur vous tous, l’esprit doit etre tres pur, tres propre, tres fort, et tres droit.
On continue…” B.G ( Aout 1982)

I never truly understood this quote until i started dealing with corrupted and filthy politicians, either within the LF or outside.
Since then, i made a commitment to myself to never be afraid from the truth, to say it as it is and as i see it …

Every single post i write, i write it out of conviction and without any censorships ( except very few and minor cases).

I believe in the LF principles, i support them and defend them ..
I support the M14 line.

However, that does not imply that i should defend the politicians or leaders behind those two lines.
I have critisized constructively Hakim & the LF, M14 and all its leaders more than Aounists have done for the past 20 years or more .. and i am not ashamed to admit LF mistakes .. Accountability is a must and i strongly believe it, but to have a hard-core Aounist or Hezbollah or any Syrian scumbag come teach me lessons in patriotism or in honesty .. eh facharto !

You are not eligible to even discuss such issues with an institution that gave away thousands of martyrs for LEBANON !

So to start with Ali 1559 wa ghayro, You stop the propraganda and you stop falsifying history.
When i speak about Aoun, answer me by defending Aoun, not attacking the LF ..

why dont you give us a quick lesson on what you and your LF party were doing on the 14th of march 1989?

What was the LF doing ?? Who put the whole LF Operations room at Aoun’s service ?? Who sent units dressed in army uniforms to assist Aoun in his stupid and idiotic war ??

One question for you:
Why didnt Aoun tell the LF he was starting a liberation war ?? why didnt he coordinate his actions with it ??
The LF was responsible for the safety of 60% of the Christian regions !!
Why should it commit suicide and lose all its troops because someone got rejected by the Syrians and wanted to take his vengeance ??

“Old lfers were very honest”

Old timers never speak a word, they hide everything they know and i blame them for not pointing out where the LF went wrong in the past to the new generations .. i blame them big time !

I am not defending March 14 nor the LF here, i am not representing them … i am stating facts that occured at a certain time in our history, facts no one can deny .. except a brainwashed irange supporter, because his mind is locked to the tapes he was taught ..

Here are few testimonies from Old FPMers who were with Aoun but opposed his new politics once he got back to Lebanon, mainly his alliance with Hezbollah.

I heard they issued a double digit membership card few days ago … it was a a big day

With all due respect to Carlos, and even though i respect his stands, but that was a lame thing to do

March 14,2005 : I woke up left to work knowing this is going to be a big day, i have been participating in all demonstrations since Hariri’s assassination, i almost visited the tents on a daily basis, i felt we are on the verge of a major change ..
It wasnt just me, everyone felt he/she had a role to play in what was coming .. everyone felt we are on the verge of a new era, everyone felt a golden opportunity was sent to us ..

The price was heavy, but the opportunity was there .. and we had to grasp it ..
Such circumstances come once in a lifetime, it was all too good to be true, everyone wanted to be part of this day, everyone was prepared to go down, men, women, students, children, everyone !

Even those who did not care about politics went down, and made the Cedars Revolution, this long awaited revolution a reality !
I cannot describe what i felt on this day .. it was a mixture of satisfaction and happiness and astonishment..

From 1990 till 2005, brave men & women in hundreds only were defying this brutal Syrian occupation, were showing exceptional courage, were being treated like animals, but never bowed and never stopped believing their work must be awarded one day.

This small group of people, from old militants to young activists, are what made March 14 happen.

But then came the after March 14, where this group handed their achievements to their leaders and moved on with their lifes.
Meanwhile, a Syrian Opposition was being forged, and Syria was already preparing a plan to come back to Lebanon.

Assassinations started, anti-M14 demonstrations, political attacks etc etc …

Everything we achieved in M14 was just too big for our leaders to handle, yet we did not react and kept believing it will eventually work out .. but it is not and unfortunatelly Syria & its allies are gaining ground ..

Today we celebrated the 3rd anniversary of this majestic day, while we should be working on reviving it and forging its achievements and destroying its opponents ..

I am dissapointed, many are ..
I can no longer accept tents in Down Town.
I can no longer accept Syrians invading our lands in the Bekaa.
I can no longer accept having armed militias.
I can no longer accept assassinations of our finest politicians and intellectuals.

3 years have passed, the visa requests are tripling and quadrupling ..

We dont need a BIEL Conference, we need actions and we need them now !

I join Dr.Geagea’s call to boycott Syria’s visit to the Arab summit being held in Damascus. Not only Lebanese politicians should boycott but also all Arab countries that care about Lebanon.

An Arab summit that has Lebanon on the top of its list is being held by the Syrians, and the last to be invited is Lebanon !
And in what way ??
An invitation is handed to Fawzi Salloukh !

I suggest we give them back the finger .. thats the only way to answer those bastards !

We MUST NOT GO To Syria before we have a president !
We MUST NOT GO To Syria before they close their borders properly and get OUT of Lebanon !
WE MUST NOT GO To Syria before it establishes an embassy for itself in Beirut !
We MUST NOT GO To Syria before they give us back our prisoners !

Shame shame shame on any M14 politician who goes to Syria to attend the summit !
