يا أخي المشكلة كما يتبين من كلامك هي أنك لا نرى غير ميشال عون الماضي، عون الشعارات وعون أيام قصر بعبدا والمنفى. أنت غير قادر على رؤية عون الحالي، عون الخيانة والخداع والنفاق والديمغوجية. عون رافع شعارات “رمي إسرائيل في البحر”، والمقاومة والتحرير بمفهوم حزب الله و”الشيطان الأميركي والاستكبار العالمي”، وعون نعيم قاسم وعباس الهاشم ومحمد رعد، وعون باقي ربع السورنة والملالي، ومثلك للأسف كثر يرفضون بعقلهم اللاوعي الخروج من فخ وشباك هذا الرجل الذي باع كل شعاراته وكفر بكل القيم وأمسى الإسخريوتي صغيراً جداً مقارنة بأفعاله وارتكاباته.

بالطبع هذا لا يعني أن الآخرين من طاقم السياسة النفعيين والوصوليين والمتلونين هم أفضل حالاً من عون لأن من تربى على التبعية يموت وهو تبعي وذليل، ولكن 100 شيطان وشيطانة لو تزوجوا لا ينجبون ملاكاً واحداً. ورزمة من الأخطاء لا تنتج صحاً واحداً.

Y en a qui le vouent aux gémonies depuis des années et qui voudraient le voir croupir en tôle. Y en a d’autres qui vont jusqu’à souhaiter sa mort et qui l’appellent l’assassin. Et y en a d’autres encore qui, se remémorant le passé, se méfient de lui malgré son mea culpa. Mais y en a qui, même s’ils sont nés alors qu’il était derrière les barreaux, lui vouent un culte inégalé, et d’autres aussi – de plus en plus nombreux – qui, conquis par sa « sagesse » – quoique récente -, se sont rangés à ses côtés.

Ce qui est certain, c’est que ce personnage ne laisse personne indifférent et même ceux qui prétendent ne pas le porter dans leur cœur se rendent à l’évidence, malgré tout, que ce qu’il dit depuis sa sortie de prison est cohérent, réfléchi et surtout courageux.

Ses prises de position sont hardies et claires et son verbe pondéré et poli, par opposition aux insultes dont usent et abusent ses adversaires. Et même si ses propos tombent dans de « sourdes oreilles », nul ne peut nier qu’il est le seul qui ose dire tout haut ce que bon nombre d’entre nous pensent tout bas.

Traité de rapace, de vautour, de corbeau et j’en passe… Cet homme affublé de tant de noms d’oiseaux serait-il finalement celui que nous espérions ? Réussira-t-il à convaincre les plus récalcitrants ou la haine et les fantômes du passé seront les plus forts ? L’histoire nous le dira.

I understand one thing and I do not understand another.

I understand and I learned that: The beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

What I do not understand is how almost a year ago the Lebanese Parliament unanimously approved a proposal to lower the voting age to 18 from 21 and this week the Parliament shot down a bill to lower voting age from 21 to 18.

What I do not understand how some say that the group age 18-20 should not be allowed to vote because they are not responsible, they lack correct judgment, …..
Yet these people are allowed to drive, drink alcohol (2 important things that can affect lives more than electing an ijer kirseh).

What is more fascinating is that all political parties target this students from early adolescent years (14 and up) in schools. They work on them and make them politcally active in their schools.
In addition, they call on them for every demonstration, event, ….

If you can count on them in these above things that I mentioned, then you should trust their votes.

This leads to the real question, do you not want them to vote because they are not politcally mature or you are afraid of the Muslim vote?
I hope we have leaders in Lebanon that can answer this question in a very honest way without BSing their followers that the other side “ija la 3ina” and we “coexist” and “Taef” is the base.

My honest reply to the question I asked is that yes Christians are afraid of Muslim votes, yes “ijo la 3ina” was a lie, yes there is no such thing as coexisting and yes Taef is a disaster and federalism is the solution

ولربما قرأ شيئاً عن تفخيخ مواكب شخصيات عربية، ولربما سمع صدفة إسماً يتردد على صلة بهذه المقاومة … المجاهد نبيل يقرأ كثيراً ويسمع كثيراً وهو متضلع من التاريخ الحديث والقديم والفلسفة والجغرافيا والتربية والأخلاق والقانون الدستوري والديانة المسيحية والمحمدية، وهو في هذا المجال الرحب ينافس العماد ميشال عون، لا بل يتفوق عليه ومن المؤكد أن الدكتور ألبير منصور لم يكن قد تعرّف إلى الدكتور نبيل نقولا يوم وصف رئيس الحكومة العسكرية (بتساع بال ميني كوبر) العماد ميشال عون بالأنسيكلوبيديا.

Qabalan Calls for Boycotting Libya’s Arab Summit

Deputy Head of the Higher Islamic Shiite Council Sheikh Abdul Amir Qabalan stressed that Lebanon should boycott the forthcoming Arab Summit that will be held in Libya.
In an interview with An Nahar daily, Qabalan described Libya as “a hostile and tyrant state.”

Qabalan accused Libya of kidnapping AMAL’s founder Imam Moussa Sadr and his companions in 1978.

“Is that how we respect Imam Sadr and his Lebanese, Arab, and Islamic position?” added Qabalan, admonishing Lebanon’s decision to participate in Libya’s summit.

As Qabalan hailed the inter-Arab reconciliations, he voiced refusal for them to happen “on expense of Imam Sadr’s cause,” adding that participation becomes legitimate if the case was solved before the occurrence of the summit and if the Lebanese officials put prior conditions on Libyan leader Moammar Gadhafi to reveal the truth in Sadr’s case.

“I call on everyone not to line up with our enemy and to respect the feelings of our people … because we have suffered a series of failed experiences with Gadhafi whom we have always called to send back the Imam and his companions to their country in order to establish the best relations between the Lebanese and Libyan peoples, and now he bears the responsibility.”

MY TAKE

It is ok to boycott an arab state because we suspect that the Imam Moussa Sadr was kidnapped and killed by the Lybians, but it is not ok to boycott Syria where thousands of political prisoners have disappeared including priests.

It is ok to curse the Lybians and Moammar el Khaddafi but watch out if you even say one word about Bachar. This is the Shiite Leaders hypocrisy that we live in every day. I want to just stick to this point without going further into other huge double standards that the Shiite Leaders have today, be they religious or otherwise.

I mean how can we still be making an issue out of Moussa Sadr and we dont make issues of Rene Mouawwad or Bachir Gemayel who were “PRESIDENTS” . With all due respect to Sadr , he was a leader and a religious figurehead but he was certainly not as important as the PRESIDENT OF YOUR COUNTRY.

If the Shiites are so nationalistic, they should be voicing concern about all their fellow countrymen who are imprisoned or kidnapped or killed.

It is nauseating that we have to listen to all the mumbo jumbo about national resistance and kicking the Israelis out especially when their DOUBLE STANDARDS are so glaringly unpatriotic.

Of course some dimwit supporter of the Hizboshitallah/ FPM will say that we have no proof that Syria did anything and that it was all evil Zionist agents like Amin Gemayel who killed his son on purpose, BUT MY QUESTION IS WHERE IS YOUR PROOF THAT LYBIA DID ANYTHING TO SADR?

What is really sad is that all Independent minded Lebanese agree that the Sadr dissapearance should be tackled. I totally agree that all Lebanese political prisoners or martyrs should be accounted for and justice should be done in their cases.

I would like to have one poltician call for the boycotting of the Assad Dictatorship untill we get an explanation of where our countrymen are and who killed all our leaders. Better yet I would love to hear it from one Shiite Leader or blog member.

The only funny part of this trip is about all our stupid politicians who were hoping to be part of the “Wafed” to Syria, every day on the news they ask those ass kissers will you accept to be part of the delegation to Syria and they will all say yes I don’t have a problem to join the delegation (haram they are all so nice and open minded hehehe), but today Hariri went alone to Syria with his brother only!

Al shou Hariri was received in “Qasr al Sha3eb”, wleh ayya sha3eb haida, ya 7aram I wonder if the symbol of the palace is a big boot on the head of the people. Today I thank God that I grew up in a free society, you have to experience freedom to know what it is worth, it is not enough to work in the USA and eat Mc Donalds burger to know the value of freedom, in Lebanon and in the Middle East freedom is not free, you have to make a big sacrifice to taste it, you have to fight the mighty Syrian army for 100 days in Achrafieh and break the head of Hafez Assad to know its real taste, you have to throw a shoe at Bush in Iraq, you have to fight Israel out of your country like in the year 2000, you have to force the Syrian occupation out like in 2005, I LOVE this freedom more than I love myself because without it life has no meaning!

Now as a Lebanese citizen all I can do is stay faithful to the memory of all the martyrs and freedom fighters until all the problems with Syria are solved, we should not visit Syria before the major problems with them are solved, no one with self-respect should kneel to a killer.
