I just loved it !
It is a logo that resembles the Hezbollah logo, yet consists of a student holding a pen.

Reference to the post i made yesterday about the facebook group that was founded by FPMers & co insulting the patriarch ..
Seems it was hacked today by some LF guys ..

Good job guys ..

Most papers today and the M14 politicians and even Berri seem optimistic about today’s session ..
Apparently a ‘deal’ was reached late last night in order to get Suleiman to presidency without passing by the government or even a constitutional amendment ..

I must say i dont support Suleiman still, but having him as a president is least worse than having a president ‘bala rass’ ( Aoun) or no president …

We will see what happens.

Nahar Ashabab made a special edition for Gebran Tueni today, it was included in Annahar’s newspaper ..

For those who missed it, you can still get it from all libraries or selling points ..

It is an edition worthy keeping ..

I think it’s quite strange that the day went by and no one on the Lebanese blogsphere mentioned anything about the International Day of Human Rights and the prominent role played by Dr. Charles Malik.

The Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR) was proclaimed on December 10, 1948. NOW Lebanon has published an article about Dr. Malik’s early career as a philospher and diplomat.

For an official description about Dr. Malik’s “driving force behind the document’s arrangement”, you can find his biography on the official website of the UDHR.

now come tell me he has not changed his stances…

From al tayyar website:

CBN.com Syria is a nation which is known to support terrorism, but for years its agenda of subversion in Lebanon, Israel, and elsewhere has gone unchecked. Now Congress may vote on the Syria Accountability Act. To learn more about the persecution of Christians, and the threats posed by Syria, Pat Robertson spoke with General Michel Aoun, the elected Prime Minister of Lebanon who was forced from power when Syrian forces seized control of Lebanon.

PAT ROBERTSON: Just think, Lebanon was a model country, a beautiful country, and the Christians elected the president. The Christians have roughly half of the population of Lebanon, its a little less than 50 percent now. But they are second class citizens, theyre being trampled underfoot by the Syrians, and nobody seems to be doing anything about it.

With me is General Michel Aoun who is the former prime minister of Lebanon and the former commander-in-chief of the armed forces. General Aoun, delighted to have you with us on The 700 Club, welcome. Tell me about Hezbollah. We hear about the terrorist group Hezbollah. What relation do they have to Syria?

GENERAL AOUN: Hezbollah is not a separate entity from Syria. It is under the Syrian operational control.

ROBERTSON: The so-called terrorist group is under the operational control of Syria?

AOUN: Yes, 100 percent, no question about that.

ROBERTSON: I understand that Damascus is the headquarters of a number of other terrorist organizations that have received aid and assistance from the Syrians. Can you tell us what they are, those other terrorist organizations?

AOUN: There are about 11 organizations of terrorism in Damascus. Among them, Hamas and Islamic Jihad, the Democratic Front and the General Command Front of the Palestinians [Liberation Army], all of them are listed in the United States as classified as terrorist organizations.

ROBERTSON: I understand that there were estimated as many as 10,000 Katyusha rockets that were moved from Syria into Lebanon to reinforce Hezbollah against Israel. Is something like that the case?

AOUN: Yes, since Lebanon was occupied by Syria, they extended the base of their terror operations to Lebanon, and they are stationed in Syria, but they act from the Lebanese territory.

ROBERTSON: Bashir Assad [leader of Syria] made a shocking statement that you called into account. He said that all Israelis are combatants and therefore theres no such thing as an innocent civilian in Israel. Could you comment on that?

AOUN: Yes, during the Arab Summit in Beirut last March, I think, he made this declaration that there is no civilian in Israel, all of them are military.

ROBERTSON: So you can shoot any one of them you want to as a combatant?

AOUN: He did not say it like that directly, but it means that.

ROBERTSON: All right. What happened and how did Syria get control of Lebanon? Lebanon was essentially a Christian country. How did they gain this dominance in the country?

AOUN: They first destabilized the country by opening the Syrian borders to the Palestinians and they came from Syria with the refugees who were stationed in Lebanon. Together they destabilized Lebanon and called it a civil war, but it was not a civil war.

ROBERTSON: Then they came in to stop the so-called civil war that they engendered?

AOUN: They created it. That’s what we call in military terminology “indirect strategy.” You make a problem and then you come to solve it.

ROBERTSON: What is the danger to world peace? We are engaged in a war on terror and yet the Syrians are in the United Nations Security Council how can that be?

AOUN: Its a big contradiction that we have to solve in the world. Because people, the terrorist regimes, they are still, you know, having good stature in the world. And there are terrorist regimes like Syria that are generating terrorist organizations. Therefore, I propose a plan that first, to disarm the organizations; second, to democratize the regimes; and then to help them to develop their country.

ROBERTSON: What do you think of President Bush’s initiative to go against Saddam Hussein to help democratize Iraq? Is that a wise course or not?

AOUN: I would like personally to see that all of the United Nations resolutions be implemented. And if Iraq complies with these resolutions, maybe it would be a happy end for everybody.

ROBERTSON: Okay. What is happening to the Christians? When I was there in 1972, Beirut was the Paris of the Middle East, a beautiful city, and then little by little its been torn asunder. What is the role of a lot of the Christians now? What is being done to them in Lebanon?

AOUN: They are rejected as second class citizens and they don’t enjoy liberty and freedom. And they are threatened.

Because the Lebanese Forces was the first to take up arms when the time called for a fight, and the first to give up those arms when we saw a hope for peace settling on this land…

Because we have held the Christian cross on our shoulders along the long path to the ultimate sacrifice, not hesitating once to offer the dearest of what we had for the sake of this country.

Because the Lebanese Forces is an extension of a centuries old desire to stay on this land…

Because the Lebanese Forces was, is and will forever be an institution towards the future…

Because our resistance should never stop as long as we have not achieved the goals set forth, goals which include the consolidation of a strong and independent nation, free from all foreign intervention, a nation where we as Christians can live side by side with our Muslim compatriots on the same level, without thoughts of worry or fear, without any injustice or any inequality..

Because there are others in this country, who for reasons that have nothing to do with nationalism, or with the good of this land, prefer to wreck havoc and sow hatred, acting on external agendas and orders, or on personal dreams of grandeur and lust for power

Because, it is our duty as THE ORIGINAL resistance to do something for this country, to keep giving and never stop

Because we refuse to go back to the days where the gun was mightier than the pen and we refuse to immerse our country once again in the terrible bloodbath brought upon by war and because we refuse to have others settling their scores with our children’s lives and their innocent blood

Because of all the above, we at the Lebanese Forces have decided to shift our resistance effort onto something more constructive and thus came out with the Lebanese Forces Business Assembly (LFBA).

What is it?

Well it is a grouping of LF business men who are putting all their efforts together, forming a wall of resistance against the obvious plan to impoverish the Lebanese people, more specifically the Christians, pushing them to emigrate and leave this country.

Those men, who in the past held a gun in defense of their lands, today hold the pen and their businesses and aim at forming a safety net for their less fortunate brothers in order to help them survive those rough and tough days.

The image of the fierce fighter holding a gun, an image our enemies have long capitalized on keeping in the collective memory of the people in their nonstop effort to marginalize the Lebanese Forces, will soon be replaced by that of the educated business man opening up new business opportunities and investments to bring a long lost prosperity to this country.

As an example of their efforts, the LFBA will be hosting the very first Regional Congress in Cyprus this December. This congress aims at bringing together LFers from all over the globe to network, to communicate and to encourage each other to expand their horizons.

This should have a positive impact on business men based both in Lebanon, as it would open for them new ventures, and those based abroad as they would get a chance to give something back to their beloved country by investing in it.

The congress will also host a multitude of speakers from different economic domains who will attempt to present an accurate picture of the current economic situation in the country after the terrible tragedies that have not ceased to fall upon it.

I believe with this congress, the Lebanese Forces is turning a very important page in its history and proving to the entire world that it is always up to the challenge, be it a military one or an economic one.

It would be good to see other parties do the same instead of coming out with fiery speeches and useless rhetoric in an attempt to escalate things further into chaos

St. Ilige

Here is an article posted today in Al-Akhbar on Rabtit Ilige, it is an accurate one surprisingly ( since this is Al-Akhbar).

I salute each and everyone one of Ilige members, true Lfers, loyal to the Cause, faithful to the martyrs ..

All my respect to those brave LFers .. they were and still are loyal to the martyrs and will always remain LFers, in thought & belief ..

Keep that name in mind, Arkadi Gaydamak is probably Israel’s next # 1 politician.
I was watching a documentary on this guy and i read a bit about him and he is quite impressive and apparently on his way to rule Israel after he conquered Jerusalem and has become a celebrity in Israel.

The man is doing step by step a perfect job to gain people’s trust and their votes, and is helping the Israeli & Jewish community like no one is, something not very familiar to the Lebanese politicians :)

During the July war, he built a huge refugee camp for Israelis endangered by the rockets launched by Hezbollah’s Terrorists and provided shelter and entertainment for over 27000 jews.

He has a media group, a political party, sport clubs, president of the Congress of Jewish Religious Communities and Organizations of Russia etc etc ..

He bought one of the most popular Football clubs in Israel (Beitar Jerusalem) and his son has another club in England ( Portsmouth F.C).

The man however is accused of tax evasion and illegal arms dealing in France and has fled the country since then and currently travels with his Angolan passport ..

The 14 March parties won most of the faculties in the USJ elections today. Aoun’s popularity is diminishing day after day.

I have only one wish though, is that those student elections one day be strictly academic and not purely political, and serve the students first and not fuel the tensions btw the students.

And you wonder why accidents happen ..

Those are pictures from the Most frequently used highway in Lebanon, Beirut-Tripoli highway .. somewhere btw Nahr el Mot & Nahr el Kalb ..

Well well, Who would have thought ??

Michel Moawad apparently needs security from Frangiehs’ thugs and started training his bodyguards .. chou el Irange a7san minno .. I wonder why no one made a big fuss out of it yet …

It is maybe surprising that i post this while i am sure Irangists would kill themselves to get those pictures .. Source is unreliable of course, but pictures do speak for themselves unless its some major photoshop work … ( definitly not a Aounist work though lool, its well done ), and i find it necessary that we post them and expose some of M14’s mistakes before opponents do ..

Accountability is the only way to get anywhere ..

I worry when i see those pictures, do we need those camps ?? who are we arming ourselves against ??
Of course this looks like everything but a training camp, but this heavy presence of weapons and this new trend of getting guns to camps is worrying ..

Must i ask as well ? Where are the ISF to stop those people ?
I saluted them for catching Aounists, they should do the same and investigate Moawad’s men and anyone organizing such camps ..
