It is time to quit you and the Tayyar, and all the servile servants around you. I have done with you and for you the possible and the impossible. I remember happily the days when my words were music to your ears. Gone are the days where no one could possibly listen to you, and learn about you more than I did.
But, first let me remind you of our good old days. Our story dates back from some 27 years ago. We met in Paris and quickly became good friends. All in all, we talked to each other more than 6000 hours. Please calculate with no less than 5 hours per week, each week. I suggest telling our readers that I know who you are and what you are more than any one else.
Remember my General on July 31st 1987 when you called me in catastrophe and asked me to come urgently: Richard MURPHY was just leaving your office. I can never forget the radiation of your face when you told me that the Americans saw you favourably as the future president of Lebanon. In 13 months you were going to be the president. I asked you: how do you want me to call you in one year time: “Mr President” or still “My General”? And your laughter filled our spirits.
You never became president…
Was it Dick MURPHY who created your madness, or just accelerated it? After his third visit in April 1988, he never came back and left you in total disarray, after telling you about a secret note from the C.I.A. explaining that you were “mentally ill”. You became anti-american and very depressed. You saw the “presidential armchair” fading away. I was there, always there to calm down and raise the spirits.
Do our readers know the truth about your “illness”, or more explicitly about your madness? Do our readers know how many times I took you to Dr Assaad Al Ramy at Deir Al Saleeb between 1987 and 1988?
I often feel responsible for having added to your madness more madness. I knew you needed the drug of flattery, and delivered more than allowed.
May God forgive me for having told you crazy things. It was only to boost you mental. It was only to help you gain time against the “disease”. Yes, my General I contributed to your madness. It is I who made you believe that God created you to be “the” saviour. That God had created no one before you who could “reach your shoes”, from Hannibal, to De Gaulle, going through Churchill and General Eisenhower… I was the first to label you NapoleAOUN and made your EgoTherapy go sky-rocketing. I was the first to tell you that you are an extraordinary leader because you “behave out of the common”…do you remember the long evening we had on that?
Each time I called you NapoleAOUN, I could see the smile on your face and the good it did to you. Fool, I was. It did well on the short run. Now I can see the effects of the disaster. After October 1988, you lost your temper and your mind. You were not only mad, you became a madman… who wanted to destroy everything on his way.
Then, many flatterers came and surrounded you. They copied my style and made you believe more and more that you were nearer to God than to any human being.
Now, the presidential elections are in less than three months time. Once again, you will not become president and I am going to tell you why.
I can witness the same expression on your face and in your eyes, as you see the “presidential armchair” running away from you. How can it be, since you were born for it, and that no one else deserves it more than you do?
You are going to miss it one more time especially that the flatterers are in bunches. Many of those who were in 1989 and 1990 are back. Like the good old days, no one dares to speak, but everyone nods and applauds. All are giving you the same message: “you are next to God”. It does good to your megalomania, but not to brain and neurones. Because, at the same time you keep receiving an opposite message: the majority of the parliament doesn’t want you. This increases your madness, and your errors.
So, the flatterers made you believe that if the parliament is not with you, the majority of the population is with you. Vox Populi Vox Dei, isn’t it ? if the people is with you who can be against you. YOU are the sole leader who was created for it?
But, at the same time, the people don’t vote for presidents, and you are opposed by some stupid guys who cannot simply understand that you are the greatest, the exceptional, the admirable, the remarkable, the magnificent General; and this makes you furious. Furious and MAD. Mad and more mistakes. More mistakes and everyone are worrying about your mental health. Now more and more start perceiving the truth about you.
My General,
We had stupid presidents at the top, and we also had unable presidents.
We had traitors at the top, and we had corrupted men at the top.
Please go home and treat yourself. Lebanon cannot bear an additional problem to its complicated problems: a madman at the top.
ADIOS my FRIEND,
Mike HELU
P.S: This message can be released to all parties. Only the General knows my real name.

Do you really think anybody is going to believe this? I mean it took you 27 years to realise that this guy is so nuts? what kind of person are you? If what you’re writing is true, you are as mad as him! 27 freaking years? If he was dying to get the presidency, I’m sure you were after something as well… 27 years? I’m starting to wonder who’s the mad person here…
And by the way, it’s a shame that you guys really published this. Very cheap…

John,
It doesn’t help also to write tensed comments. If you really read the article carefully, you’ll realize that the writer left Aoun after 1988, it means 8 years and not 27 years after he knew him, knowing that before 1988, Aoun was only a Colonel than the Army commander, ans had not started his foolishness as the writer said.
As for saying it’s a shame to post it, i think the shame is to lead a whole country with madness, not to disclose what we think it is the truth. saying things on a blog, has nothing to do with shame or danger, what dangerous are some politicians actions, and among them GMA.
with all my respect.

In addition to this article and by way of inquiry, is it true that General Aoun was undergoing a therapy during his stay in Paris? To which extent the rumors on Aoun taking sedatives to ease up his nervous breakdown are credible?
if anyone knows, please confirm. if you have evidence of the names of the treating physicians in Paris and/or the medicines Aoun used to take (if this is correct) please revert. such information must me published for the people in Lebanon and around the world be aware of that.

Hello everyone,
I am writing to you today only because of my frustration and sadness on what is happening in your country, my country, my land, our only country Lebanon. I am a Lebanese citizen living abroad since 5 years, in Geneva Switzerland. A country where you learn every day something new, a country where every human being is respected and represents to the society what he really is capable of…my English is a bit basic, so please excuse my weak writing expressions and mistakes. Bref. What I want to say to you is that the future of our country is on our hands and only our hands. Let us stop say that we have enemies in Lebanon, we do have different point of views concerning the way our country should be, but we still have the same blood, the same roots, and the same history. I am a Maronite from Jezzine, I should not even say so where I could say that I am simply a Christian or a Lebanese…However, even between us Christians we are separated. By then, how do u want to deal with other people from different religions and backgrounds when we are not even one and unified… let us not say it is because of Aoun. I personally don’t like this person, but there are some other people that like him and would do everything for him. We have to understand that and act accordingly. Thanks God Christians are not unified other wise they would be put apart from the political life in Lebanon.
I believe in my country, I believe in federalism, I believe that we are so many out there thinking the same as me. We are going to change what we inherited from our leaders. I want to be a leader, not on my own, but for my country and for all the people that have a word to say and most of all the right to say what they feel, in what they believe in and what they want!
It is so easy to be a neutral country, look at Switzerland, and the wisdom of its people, just because they want to live freely, away from everyone and their problems,
The day we will admit all our mistakes, we will be able to improve. We let the Palestinians come to our country; we called the Syrians to stop the war.
I do not like the Syrians, or the Palestinians. However, I know that this thinking is wrong, because we are Arabs, if we want it or not. Let us not say that we are Phoenicians…
Israel is a country that we have to accept, and move forward, war won’t help anything.
Let us be like the Switzerland of the orient once again,
I come from the south, more precisely from Jezzine, and I heard a lot of stories concerning Hezbollah, they are some people ready to do whatever to save Lebanon. We just have to accept them, and let them come into the political life of Lebanon.
I do not believe in the taef, the taef was made for a specific period..
The answer for all our problems is to gather all, around a round table, equally, where we will discuss all the issues that surround us…
Hezbollah is with the Syrians and the Iranians, only because we are following the United States.
Our problem is that we forget, or we are making abstraction on our past…
My conclusion would be, let us make peace with everyone, listen to what they have to say and be pacific. We want to be a neutral country, away from all the disturbances in the region that are guiding us into a complete chaos,
I am against the fact that the same people that made the war in Lebanon came back into politics. I am with the Lebanese forces for protecting our cedars and our mountains however I am against the fat that Aoun and al hakim came back to the political life… they should stay away now, Lebanon has already experienced them both and they separated the Christians. We need one common leader, a Christians leader that will guide our community beyond all these small troubles (are your 2ouwet? Or 3awne?) That is in considered following my thinking a way of nonsense, where we should not even ask this question again.
I am against al Hariri plan and Seniora’s, because we all know their past… however I agree with the fact that the political situation has led us to join them.
As I said before, I am against the taef because it is counting on our religion to get a certain position in the state. Is that fair? No!!! And you know it. We are becoming a minority, and we should not play this game. One qualified person should get the job and the position he deserves not because of his religion but because of his knowledge, and how he could help Lebanon improve….
I think I am talking too much, and mixing stuff, however! We cannot stay like that, I am a 24 year old guy, and I believe that my generation will change drastically things in Lebanon. We, the young people have lived abroad with Lebanese from all religions, and we did not have any thoughts on their religions and so on… why are we all equal outside the country and inside we are so different?
One day, when I will be strong enough, I will come back to my country and to my roots, where I will be able to address my self to the nation and try to change something… like hundreds or thousands of us living abroad and tearing blood every day for the sake of our country Lebanon,
God bless you all Lebanese people and our beloved country,
Jad karam,
