Whats great about this blog is that it brings different LF members with different opinions all under one roof to discuss and share what they feel is right and wrong with the LF and Lebanese politics in general today. With the recent issue of the two official sites it was clear there were two different opposing opinions on the subject being discussed here by two different writers. Its that sort of thing that makes this blog such a great place.

To be able to bring the different views together in one place this blog will always have to remain a neutral tool. To further enforce this neutrality it wouldn’t be fair to link to only one official LF site and it would be confusing to link to both. This is why starting today none of them will be linked on this blog.

Different writers will always have different opinions but this blog will always remain right in the middle. For all the writers who post on this blog thanks for making it a wonderful place.

    Mark,

You’re right and this is what we all want to hear and be sure of.

  • 3. Lebanonjon | May 3rd, 2008 at 7:31 pm

That was a good move. This blog needs to be seen by more people as it really embodies the future of the LF.

We don’t take sides because there are no sides.

it is not easy to be in the middle ,you will be attacked from all sides.

  • 5. TheCourtFool | May 3rd, 2008 at 8:17 pm

    Agreed Mark.

But placing it Right in the Middle… probably slightly leaning towards the LF. But afterall it’s the name of this blog. So it’s understandable.

Thank you Mark for the idea of creating this blog.
But still we are waiting to read your posts more often.
watch out from creating an “official” blog and hijacking this one: sarcasm

    Mark,
    ana halla2 3omré 20 w ana kberet 3ala http://www.lebaneseforces.com, el site li inta kenet 3emlo w houwé li 3arafné 3al ouwet w adiyeta w tad7iyeta.

So what I suggest, is that you work on a brand new website for the LF and you propose it to the LF heads.

I diagree that this site is in the middle since it does not link to the official Lebanese-forces.com but link to all other unofficial website

  • 9. Mark | May 3rd, 2008 at 10:23 pm

Michel Kanbour what are you talking about. The post is about how this blog won’t and is no longer linking to any of the official sites so your comment makes no sense. How the hell are you in charge of Lebanese-Forces.com I have no clue…

  • 10. kezballah | May 3rd, 2008 at 10:35 pm

Well it is good there is finally a rep from the lebanese-forces.com site so you can both have a discussion and solve this problem. Because frankly this is like the Byzanti argument about the angels while the enemy is invading and destroying the empire.

So please Mr. Kanbour continue your discussion with these gentlemen, it is clear that they were the first working on the websites for the LF when Dr. Geagea was in jail, they don’t deserve to be treated badly. And it is clear that Dr. Geagea wants one official website only so you should help find a solution to work together if you want to his wish to come true. Hacking and child play from both sides will not solve the problem!!

If you can’t find a solution to this simple problem then you are all not better than the leaders you criticize, solve it step by step no need for a salleh ;-)

    Mark,

Keep up the good work. You know me, I never interfered in anything you have been doing from the first time we met on and off line :-)

Again for some the “official” is portrayed as the problem, in reality the site is a minor thing and will be solved when Geagea decides to tackle the major issues that all members around teh world had no clue about.

Keep it up ouwet.com and hope to see other sites active too.

C.R. U really don’t have to be that stupid and ignorant, right?

  • 15. someone | May 4th, 2008 at 1:32 pm

    Mark,

    Very nice and wise decision,

but how are you saying that you are no longer linking to any of the two sites when you still have the “Forum” link working ?

I repeat , a very wise step coming from your part.

  • 16. Rodge | May 4th, 2008 at 4:26 pm

    Guys,

With all my respect, and everybody knows how much I personally respect this blog and all the people responsible for running it, and while stressing the importance of the issue dealt here, but I think it’s about time to move on and discuss other important Lebanese issues, and the last couple of days were full of events, so please we miss the posts where we can discuss and interact with all our friends here, including the 8th of March people.
