4 Generals were detained LEGALLY !

Thursday, April 30th, 2009

Chouuu ?? any law experts around here ahfam min Mehlis ??

Former head of the U.N. commission investigating the assassination of ex-Premier Rafik Hariri, Detlev Mehlis, said the four released generals remain suspects.

He told pan-Arab daily Al-Hayat that the ruling by the Special Tribunal for Lebanon (STL) has no bearing on the generals’ guilt or innocence and that they can still be indicted at a later stage.

Mehlis said that the officers’ arrest was “legal and necessary for a period of five months that followed his recommendation to Lebanese judicial authorities for the preventive detention of the four suspects.”

Under Lebanese law, which also guides the activities of the STL, suspects detained for crimes perceived to threaten national security can be held indefinitely without charge.

Mehlis stressed that the arrest of the four generals was based on “evidence and testimonies of witnesses.”

If anyone can just answer me how hard is it to come up with a proper campaign, i would highly appreciate it, because this is truly pathetic !

The generals are out – good news after all.

Wednesday, April 29th, 2009

In the aftermath of the assassination of Rafik Al-Hariri in 2005, and since then, 4 high-profile security officials were held in custody of the Lebanese authorities without being charged, as permitted by Lebanese law when the detainees are believed to be a threat to national security.

Now that the Hariri case is under the international tribunal’s jurisdiction, such detention cannot be justified by the laws governing it. This led to the court’s decision to release them, and the Lebanese justice department acquiesced.

At first I was infuriated when I first read the news. How could they let them loose after what they have allegedly done? They might run away or start causing chaos again!
Coming back to my senses , and having reviewed the facts led me to think otherwise.

The fact that the Lebanese government abided by the decision of the tribunal is yet another proof that this case has not been politicized as Hezbollah & co. have been claiming.
More importantly though, and in the context of the upcoming elections, what has happened today should be an eye-opener for a lot of people.

When the tribunal was in the very early stages of being formed, we all saw how many impediments the ‘opposition’ put in the way of its formation (Resigning from the government, boycotting the parliament, to name a few of the non-violent ones). All was done under the pretext that this is a politicized tribunal whose verdict has already been pronounced and bought by the March 14th Alliance and that its formation will be a threat to Lebanese sovereignty.

Today’s event have shown how wrong March 8th Alliance was, but most of all, it offered us an opportunity to view the contrast between the 2 parties and how much they value the rule of law when it does not play in their favor…Enough for me to decide which of them I want to lead my country into the future.

Four Generals released ..

Wednesday, April 29th, 2009

Another sad day for Lebanon ..
Another sad day for our martyrs and for justice …

The four criminal generals were released to be put under strict security measures. Few weeks or months from now, they will disappear to an unknown destination.

Shame shame !

f. Starts a war of elimination against the Judges , Saying ” Judges seek to find corruption even if there is none, thus if there are no Judges, then no corruption can be found . b. Closes parliament for 28 weeks while he visits his gas stations in the USA.

c. Appropriates 600 Million Dollars for the council of the south claiming it ” Nkeyeh bil Sanyiora*”
*who is now hidden in a underground cell while Hizballah waits for the government to be strong enough to deal with the Zionist Cell comprised of Saniora+ 2 Million Lebanese of March 14

d. fights with Aoun over the phone line that Gigi Bassil provides “majannan” about how many seats they have in the now permanently closed parliament

d. Releases thousands of wild pigs into the Lebanese countryside just in case the forest fires missed some green patches of trees

WI2AM WAHHAB IS APPOINTED MINISTER OF PROPAGANDA AND MISINFORMATION. HE THEN HOLDS 5000 (4 A DAY FOR 4 CONSECUTIVE YEARS) PRESS CONFERENCES

d. Resigns from his position because he cannot betray Greater Syria by accepting to have Lebanese Passport even if it is only a brief few more thousands of years before all the cypriots and jordanians and iraqis realize that they too are syrians

SPIES LIKE US

Tuesday, April 28th, 2009

It never ceases to amaze me how Hizballah is allowed to pursue and apprehend so called “spies” who are working for the Mossad and hand them over to the Government agencies and nobody in the country dares say a word.

I am proposing that the Lebanese Forces begin apprehending people who work for the Syrian Moukhabarat and handing them over to the Lebanese Government as well. I would also encourage anyone to capture some of the Iranian Pasdaran that are roaming around the south.

I wonder what the reaction would be ? I mean in the USA, they imprisoned Jonathan Pollard for spying for Israel even though Israel and the US are the tightest allies in the world.

Assuming that Syria and Lebanon are friendly countries, unlike Israel ( al mowto laha) which is the great Zionist threat to Lebanon, shouldn’t espionage and treason be treated the same ?

I know some little measly HA rat on this blog will say ” But Syria was invited into Lebanon and Syria is the friend of Lebanon bla bla bla ” . Assuming that all that is fine and true, isn’t espionage the same whether done by an enemy ( Al mawto li israeeel , Amrika al shaytan ) and a dear true shakika friend like Syria?

Isn’t espionage the same offense?

Isn’t treason the same offense?

based on this , lets go out and catch a few HA spies who are providing information to IRAN and SYRIA 3alanan…and give them to the Government. In fact lets go catch Gigi Imbassil and hide him for a few weeks like they are doing to Joseph Sader etc…

I’d love t hear some thoughts, especially the HA employees on this blog….

Four generals to be released?

Tuesday, April 28th, 2009

After almost 4 years in detention as prime suspects in the Hariri assassination case, the four general’s destiny is in the hands of the pre-trial judge that will pronounce himself tommorrow.

I sense that they will be freed temporarily even though i am totally against it. Those generals are a threat to Lebanon’s security and can simply flee the country as soon as they are off prison.

If there is justice in the world, those generals should be sent to LaHay and be guarded until the special tribunal for Lebanon decides on their fate.

A great man from Lebanon :-)

Maxime Chaaya reached the North pole on Sunday the 25th of April to become the 12th person in history (worldwide) to complete the Explorers Grand Slam .

I must say he proved my previous post “uncivilized” true, as he went as far as a human being can go away from Lebanon to achieve greatness !

The FPM ads are too much mfalsafeen and some of them don’t even make sense, so as the elections become closer I thought I will make it more clear for the followers of the senile 2akhwat how their vote will be. I did it for humor but I think it’s also very true :-)

Uncivilized

Sunday, April 26th, 2009

“I am fond of pigs. Dogs look up to us. Cats look down on us. Pigs treat us as equals.” Winston Churchill

It is said that great countries are those that produce great people, and Lebanon had its share of great men & women, but what this quote doesn’t say is that in Lebanon’s case, those men clinched their greatness by isolating themselves from the Lebanese society or simply travelling.

I believe it is essential that we take a break from time to time from our endless political fights, to remember how “uncivilized” our country is and our people are. Yes uncivilized by all means and yet somehow Lebanese find ways to feel proud about themselves !!!!

As i enjoy reading about our history and history in general a lot, i tend to associate past events with current ones and see how we evolved through the centuries, and i can assure you that the past two months have been a clear proof that we haven’t evolved one single bit from 300 years till now.

I hear Jumblatt insulting the Maronites and i remember the 18th century and the endless fights over power in Mount Lebanon between the Druzes and Maronites.
I see feudal leaders still powerful and bribing and buying people off, and i remember the Ottoman rule and the “Za3emet”.
I see corruption, bribery, theft, distrust, and incompetence and i remember how Lebanon was created back in the 1920s.

To make things short, we are not yet a country, but groups of people joined together and being tested whether we can co-exist or not, but instead of learning how to do so, we managed to put ourselves in a vicious circle whereas two groups align together against the third one, before the third one gets help from outside, strengthens itself and brings back one of the groups with him against the first one and so on …

Some are suggesting Lebanon is turning into two major political blocs, well my sincere apologies, but you know nothing about the Lebanese, that’s for sure !

Berri & Hariri are in agreement in certain electoral regions.
Berri & Aoun are in disagreement all over the place.
Geagea & Jumblatt are half way back to their old rivalry.
Hariri & Hezbollah are breaking the ice.
Pro-Syrian & Feudal lord Michel Murr & M14 are surprisingly on the same list.
Pro-Syrian Miqati & Hariri are on the same list in Tripoli.
Jumblatt & Irslan are back in love.

and the list goes on …

Things being said, it is great citizens that can make a country great, and this is what we are lacking here. The Lebanese hide behind their leaders, and when they wanna protest against them, they boycott or leave or make themselves leaders.

Naming Beirut as 2009 World Book Capital is one of the biggest jokes i’ve heard, specially when explained as “in the light of its focus on cultural diversity, dialogue and tolerance”.

This kinda reminds me of the time Yasser Arafat was granted the Nobel Peace Prize, “for their efforts to create peace in the Middle East”

Finally, i stand at my introductionary quote :-)

FPM Candidate Review 3

Sunday, April 26th, 2009

Michel Aoun (Mikey Pyjama) said there is not any candidate to represent the 3asab of Achrafieh so he put Abo Jamra (Dumb Sam) who was kicked out from the South, but he don’t explain what it mean the 3asab of Achrafieh. He only say that Abo Jamra is more experienced than Naila Tueyni.

Abo Jamra is much more older than Naila so of course he has more life experiences, but do the 3asab of Achrafieh need experience in running away from the Syrian invador?

Abo Jamra work in army and government for 100 years more than Naila, but do the 3asab of Achrafieh need experience in making boycot to have a desk then come back to work without getting the desk?

If I want to decide if I vote for Naila or Abo Jamra I don’t have any extra achievement from the 100 years of Abo Jamra experience to help me vote for him.

What did Abo Jamra for Achrafieh in all his 100 years? He bomb us with Mikey Pyjama in 1989 and destroy our homes and leave us without food and water and electricity for many weeks, this is the experience we should vote for?

I think in Achrafieh we remember this experience very well and we will not vote for Abo Jamra, I hope Naila win big and Abo Jamra go up in smoke :)

THE SOPRAOUNOS

THE SOPRAOUNOS

The story of the founding of a new MAFIA family in Lebanon.

First the was Mikey SoprAouno a young thug who entered the miltary as a cover for his desire to rule the entire country’s organized crime. He first got his nickname “MIKEY PYJAMAS” when he exhibited his survival skills by leaving his family to escape advancing Syrians. Some called him Micho”skekeen” from his famous speach about skekeen el matbakh, but the real Mafia in siders call him MIKEY PYJAMAS

Nabil “billy Neeko” Nicolas . Long reputed to be a Consiglayri or consiglieri to Mikey Pyjamas and also reputed to be called “the Dentist” .

Issam “dumb Sam” Abo Jamra is a capo in the Sopraouno Family and is just used for his retard behavior. Never expexted to rise above capo , dumb Sam is totally loyal to Boss Pyjamas so he is expected to play the enforcer with the gay rabie team.

Gibran “telephone Gigi” Bassil is a rising star in the Sopraouno Mafia family and now controls the wiretapping, construction and iranian subsidies divisions for old man Mikey Pyjamas. Gigi may well end up being boss after “skekeen” kicks the bucket.some observers declare gigi to be the real consiglayri in the family.gigi now owns most of Batroun beachfront property which he purchased through construction racketeering contracts supplied through the iranian Mafia boss Big Nasso in dahieh.

Alain ” little alan ” Sopraouno is a big nobody in the family but being a Sopraouno is good enough for Mikey Pyjamas and so little Alan is bound to be in the hierarchy for as long as the old man can wear the pyjamas.

Man this article really pissed me off!

When are we going to get rid of this blind tribal mentality????!!!!!

What has she done while in parliament??
I’ve never even heard her talk! Ever! Not once!

What has she done for Keserwen? Nothing.
Yet people are still going to vote for her because she’s from their town or family?

Such people deserve shuch candidates!

Lebanon Needs Primary Elections

Saturday, April 25th, 2009

Everyday we hear a dozen stories about candidates from the same party or alliance clashing over a seat here and a seat there.

This highlights the fact that Lebanon is the perfect country for primary elections.

First the people from the same party elect their nominee, and the winner runs for the actual parliamentary elections. It could spare us plenty of this inner-bickering that leaves supporters of the same party or alliance confused as to whom they should vote for.

Every district has clashes and disputes over its list and primary elections are the perfect solution.

But then again maybe this idea is a little too democratic for the Lebanese tribal mentality. ;)
