Today is every Lebanese’s dream come true .. All political leaders ( except 7assouna who s still hiding in his rat hole) went to Doha on one plane to discuss the Lebanese crisis based on a 6 points package sponsored by the Qatar committe.

One group of Lebanese waved a banner saying “If we dont agree, dont come back”.

Taef took 24 days of dialogue before being settled, i have a feeling this time the task is much easier since HA weapons were almost put off the official package. Lets wait and see.

“Happy days are here again”. That is the title of an email that I got this morning from a friend.

Now that the politicians have left the country lets get together and close the airport so that they can never come back. I don’t know about you but I am feeling a great sense of relief just to know that those retards have vacated our land. And what do you know, as soon as they left everything went back to normal. Business is flowing and the Lebanese are back to what they do best; living well.

Unfortunately Hassouna is still probably hiding in his Four Seasons Cave with a khadijehs Secret model doing a burka strip tease for him. So in all likelihood our plan would fail. That and the fact that Nayla Mouawad would become the ranking Christian leader makes this idea all but useless.

Still maybe someone with just a little less morals than me would try out his new RPG when these guys try and come back on their planes. We can really test the Hizballah plan of taking out politicians on the runway. Sort of like the tv show Myth Busters.

In any event, I wish you all Happy days while these power hungry warmongers decide our fate in Doha.

A Lebanese mother has given birth to triplets around 20 months after her two-year-old son’s death in Israeli raids on the town of Ghaziyeh during the July-August 2006 war, An Nahar daily reported Tuesday.
It said the triplets, two boys and one girl, were born at the same hospital in the southern port city of Sidon where Hadi Jaafar died from wounds he suffered during the raids on Ghaziyeh.

An Nahar said the newborns were named Hadi, Jihad and Nour al-Houda.

“I am happy that I delivered three twins…I didn’t expect to get pregnant after my suffering and grief. I wished for one baby…but God gave me three instead,” the mother, 23-year-old Raja, said.

Arabs surprisingly were able to contain the violence and join the Lebanese on one table.
Led by Qatar, the Arab convoy put into action a 6 points package agreed on by all political factions.

1) A return to the status quo before the clashes broke out on May 5, when the government announced two decisions against Hizbullah.

“The immediate end to any form of armed presence, the withdrawal of all armed militants from the streets and the opening of all roads as well as the airport and the port.”

2) Sheikh Hamad said there should be a re-launch of a national dialogue to restore confidence among the rival parties leading to the formation of a national unity government and a new electoral law.

“This accord will be crowned with the end of a sit-in in the center of Beirut on the eve of the election of consensus candidate General Michel Suleiman president.”

3) “Dialogue begins as soon as this accord is announced and as soon as the first point is implemented, in Doha on Friday, (May) 16, under the auspices of the Arab League. The dialogue will continue until an accord is struck.”

4) All sides to refrain from any resort to violence to achieve political goals.

5) “Launching a dialogue (also in Doha) to shore up the authority of the Lebanese state throughout the country and its relations with the different parties in Lebanon in order to guarantee the security of the state and its citizens.”

6) All political leaders to refrain from using language that might incite political or sectarian violence.

Hezbollah came out as the biggest winner, whether we like it or not. His actions were not even condemned and his weapons are here to stay, but still he lost a lot of his credibility as a “resistance” and his actions will reflect on his future in Lebanese politics.
As for March 14, they got guarantees that a president will be elected at any price and that Hezbollah will not use its weapons on the inside anymore but the formation of the national unity government will come first ..

The dialogue is to be launched tomorrow in Doha, Qatar.

For months now, there were symptoms of another civil war, i posted repeatedly warning of such a war .. i ve warned several times those who are getting armed of how horrible is a civil war and condemned politicians arming their me…

And here we are now, because of an incompetent government and an armed militia and two lousy decisions, Beirut is invaded, Sunnites feel threatened, Christians are worried and Druzes are already slaughtering …

I still support fully those two decisions, but i never thought for a second the government was that unprepared to face Hezbollah .. on all levels ! not to mention the sissy Sleiman who almost asked the army to support the invasion ..

Anyway, everyone is running to get armed now … Sunnite Salafists see this as a golden opportunity … Sejaan Azzi ( Kataeb) says if the army cant protect us, we are seriously considering protecting ourselves … and the Druzes already taught Hezbollah a lesson in the mountain by slaughtering 3 of his militants..

Surprisingly, all major Christian parties ( LF, Kataeb, FPM) agreed to coordinate their actions and meet regularly until the tension is over. All responsibles are meeting with each others to prevent any incident that might inflame the Christian streets ..

I was talking to few LF & FPM responsibles today in Beirut and they assured me they refuse to fight their own brothers even if the leaders order them to ..

Its been five days of violent fights between the Hezbollah and FM & PSP Fighters ..
What started as a “peaceful” demonstration turned out to be a organized “coup” by Hezbollah to topple the government and literally invade their regions ..

Hezbollah controlled Beirut in 2 days time, and forced the government to take back its decisions, however the crisis is still there and i think for the time being, the following solution should make way for dialogue sessions and maybe for a long term solution ..

1- Elect Gen.Sleiman ( even though i still disapprove of him) as president.
2- Form a temporary government of technocrats that will handle the routine work until an official government is formed.
3- Hold dialogue sessions to discuss the new government repartition.
4- Hold dialogue sessions to discuss a defensive strategy for HA. (even though i dissapprove of even considering their weapons as legal).
5- Dismantle all sorts of sitins and demonstrations all over the country ( Down Town, Airport)

Such an approach will unblock the situation and let the government operate normally while the political parties are debating to find a proper way out, that way even if the dialogue lasts months, the country is operation and its people most importantly can live normally and the economy will surely get better.

What is happening to this country ?? Artillery being used in the Mountain ???

What the fuck is wrong with you people ?

The past few days witnessed the death of more than 40 people, among them militia men but also innocent civilians whose only fault was to be at the wrong place at the wrong time.

They witnessed as well the brutal invasion of a terrorist militia by the name of Hezbollah, supposebly fighting Israel ( In Hamra streets ?).

Never in any country’s history, a militia was capable of imposing its will for long on a people ..

The government stepped back yesterday avoiding us a war, but Hezbollah committed a sin and used its weapons against other Lebanese, the army committed a bigger sin by letting him invade Beirut ..

The prime minister urged the Lebanese to observe a minute of silence at 12 noon Sunday for the souls of those killed during the clashes between pro- and anti-government forces, stressing that participants should raise Lebanese flags. ( from Naharnet)

I will not raise any flag, nor believe in this damn country, before i see a capable government and a strong army protecting me and my people. I just feel bad for all those innocent people dying in vain …

The SSNP were overjoyed when Hezbollah gave them control of the Hamra region and they ran like little kids sticking their flags everywhere. Their culture of death & violence is known to all, and their excitment led them to start causing trouble in other regions, but they were taught a lesson and a hard one.

They got into fights with FM militants in Halba today, and after killing two of them, the FM retaliated and stormed their office and killed at least ten people.

Added to that, two were killed in Saida on Friday and other casualties were reported in several regions.
Finally, they tried to take the fight into Christian regions by throwing grenades at LF & Kataeb offices but they were ignored.

I do not wish death to anyone, but such scumbags asked to be killed, and they got what they deserved. I pray one day that a government will ban the SSNP and jail every single member. Such a party must not exist.

The first target of Hezbollah’s invasion on day2 of the “peaceful” protest was FTV’s building and radios and newspapers related to Hariri’s Future movement. What happened was that an army officer informed the Future staff that their building will be bombed and everyone inside slaughtered if they dont stop broadcasting and leave ..

Obviously, the officials at FTV asked everyone to clear the building and left and so the FTV’s broadcasting was stopped and the building was invaded by HA & Amal thugs, then handed to the army.

This outrageous act was condemned by most politicians, and Hezbollah’s hypocrisy and filthness reached its peak when Al-Manar tv condemned the act !!! As the old proverb says ” atal el 2ateel wou meche bi jnezto”

A small march was organized today at noon in support of FTV which hopefully will be opening soon.

One last thing, i cannot but remember MTV and how it was closed by the Syrians and their masters years ago, and hope that FTV’s fate wont be like MTV’s one ..

As i posted earlier, the only way out was for the government to reconsider its decisions, and indeed, it did so by asking the army commander to make the final call on them, thereby boosting his chances of getting elected ( knowing he’ll take a moderate stand), and not coming out as political losers ..

So we can basically say the crisis is almost over ( for now) … M14 gave the army the responsability to investigate the network lines and Choucair’s removal .. and Sleiman asked Chouchair’s removal to be cancelled and the other decision taken back ..

Hezbollah polluted his image and can no longer claim his resistance status after what happened … his credibility is at its lowest. The government will have to rethink twice any decision it takes and again proved incompetence and lack of guts..

Why did FMers surrender that quickly in Beirut? Unless they anticipated HA’s move, i say they saw they had no militia to fight back and fought it politically ..

The army as usual stayed neutral and at one distance, but committed a huge mistake by allowing armed men to invade private properties but i think Sleiman guaranteed himself presidency by this move ..

Who won and who lost ?

Its a win-win situation, both teams are still where they were even though both lost credibility .. but Hezbollah’s outrageous reaction is gonna be a boost for M14 in the next elections ( mainly Christian-wise) ..

Lets hope the airport road is reopen now since tent city is apparently staying there .. and lets hope M14 prepares itself better for any new bold decision it takes ..

What happened in the past 3 days and how did we end u here ?

It all started with those famous decisions the government took at 4:30 am as the Opposition was preparing for a strike against that same government apparently for “economical & social” reasons ..

The reaction was to say the least “unexpected” and surprising to me, because i saw riots coming, small fights but i never thought Hezbollah could invade Beirut right now, it was too early for me for such a move even though it was obvious they were organizing a plot against the government, and the only way they believe in is force & violence ..

But it happened and Hezbollah are in control of Beirut now ( the Muslim side only) not to mention Saad Hariri & Jumblatt trapped in their houses in Beirut.

Hezbollah screwed up big time, and they confirmed officially that they are nothing but a militia and a group of thugs, but even more they declared themselves as enemies of the state.

Back to the government and its decision, even though i consider those decisions as bold, but from what i’ve seen in the past three days, they were miscalculated and very badly timed ..

Why is that ?

1- When you take such a stand, you have to take necessary precautions to counter any movement
Hezbollah might do, and a militia cannot be countered unless you have a strong army or ISF forces or a militia of your own, and all three were unavailable ..

2- When you label Hezbollah’s network as illegal, you are contradicting the “bayan wizare” which legalizes HA’s work. So the decision is missing and it should have included illegalizing Hezbollah as an organization.

3- I only saw FMers defending their posts while Jumblatt’s men did not move a finger, even though they are one of the best street fighters, specifically in the Beirut streets. What went wrong and what was Jumblatt thinking of ? Did he want Hezbollah to get where it is now ? Is he depending on external help ?? Because if he thinks the US or Israel will come clean Hezbollah from Beirut, he is mistaken.

What will happen next ?

The situation will stay as it is until the Hezbollah demands are met, and the Sunnites have no hope in regaining their regions unless they fight Hezbollah back ( civil war) or reconsider the decisions they ( the government) took ..
