WASHINGTON (CNN) — The U.S. Navy has moved the guided-missile destroyer USS Cole and other ships to the eastern Mediterranean Sea off Lebanon, Pentagon officials said Thursday.

And a Bush administration official told CNN the decision to move ships to the region was a message to neighboringSyria that “the U.S. is concerned about the situation in Lebanon, and we want to see the situation resolved.”

“We are sending a clear message for the need for stability,” said the official, who was not authorized to speak for publication. The ships “should be there a while,” the official added.

Dr.Geagea is expected to visit the USA early March, and till now we didnt have a clear schedule of his visits and whether he is going to meet Pr.Georges Bush or not.

After researching who that Brigitte Gabriel is, i dont think it is the smartest move to be hosted by a woman who is too extreme in her views and not very highly seen by all. However what is worse is the profile for Hakim as a warlord and a convicted murderer.

Two days ago, The kuwaiti papers Al Qobs mentioned that Hakim will eventually meet Bush, however a group of Lebanese Americans are opposing this visit considering Dr.Geagea as a convicted murderer.

Visiting the US is a very crucial step, and most importantly meeting all the major figures ( similarly to Hariri & Jumblatt) is very essential. And above all, how we are portrayed to the American people and the World is of great importance ..

Jumblatt is a major mass murderer, yet no one mentions that in the American news or papers.

Hakim, in my opinion, should have reopened all the cases directed against him, starting with the Church bombing, and clean his image and the LF image, because otherwise, the visit to the US will be disastrous or simply pointless.

Dont hold your hopes high though, the Opposition’s actions during the past week and in the last quartet meeting reflected their will to solve the problem.

Everytime M14 proposes a solution, the Opposition represented by Michel Aoun adds up impossible conditions.
Last time when Hariri proposed the 10-10-10, Aoun wanted to have a say in the next prime minister and other appointments in different institutions.

This time, The Opposition wants the 10 ministers selected by the President to abstrain from voting, and some are still insisting on a blocking third !

This is not an opposition, this is Syria in action through its puppets, and it is slowly but surely succeeding in paralyzing us, creating a chaotic political situation and driving us to another civil war, UNLESS M14 once and for all decides to take the initiative and go on with electing a president and appointing a new government, the way they want to since they are the Majority and they have the right to rule.

6 Wounded in Clashes between Lebanese Forces, SSNP

Six people were wounded in overnight clashes between Samir Geagea’s Lebanese Forces and the Syrian Social Nationalist Party in north Lebanon, security sources said Sunday.
They said the clash with sticks in the town of Deddeh in the northern Koura province soon degenerated into exchanges of gunfire that left six people wounded.

Lebanese army troops and policemen stepped in and contained the fight.

Lebanese Forces sources said the clash broke out when members of the SSNP attacked an LF office in Deddeh, damaging a sign.

Lebanese Forces leader Samir Geagea, in a swift reaction on Friday, told Hizbullah leader Hassan Nasrallah “you have no right to take us against our will to where we don’t want to go” and challenged him to accept a TV debate to allow “the lebanese, the Arabs and the whole world judge” us.

That is a very smart move, let us see what he is made of when addressing Hakim, since he is only used to address brainwashed people or flirt with his Valentine ally Michel Aoun on Public TV.

I think open debates between all political opponents ( on the highest level) should be done by all Tvs, like Amine Gemayel & Michel Aoun, Jumblatt & Nasrallah, Geagea & Nasrallah, Hariri & Berri etc etc ..

Enough with the low level mps and responsibles who only know how to shout and curse ..

I doubt that Nasrallah will accept this challenge, at least not on live television, he might be charismatic and all, but he only knows how to execute orders and read speeches …

Whenever i hear Aoun speeching and talking nonsense, i laugh ..
Whenever i hear baby Genius Gebran Bassil talk, Nabil N2oula or Ibrahim Kanaan yelling like idiots ..

I smile and laugh at them, because i know what they are made of ..

But when i hear that educated young men, supporters of General Aoun, go to visit Moghnieh’s grave and put flowers on them, i ask myself why are their folks spending that much money educating them ??

How can a rational Christian Anti-Syrian militant feel sorry that a criminal and terrorist was killed ??

As for Syrians, they have been the hot topic of Kuwaiti papers and news for the past few days, and everyone knows the hatred Kuwaitis had for Moghnieh ( who kidnapped a TWA Kuwaiti plane and killed two Kuwaiti civilians back in the 70s), not to mention the unfriendly relation btw Kuwait & Syria.

Additionally, Kuwait welcomed the killing of Moghnieh and local Kuwaiti papers were hinting that Syria is behind it and spreading some suspicious news on Syria’s behavior in regards to Moghnieh’s assassination.

First, Qobs papers saying Syria refuses to give HA any news on the investigation.

Second, Dead Mughniyeh Sparks Discord in Kuwait.

Syria was just replying to those accusations, in its own ‘democratic’ ways …
