So i went to the North this weekend to visit a friend near Tripoli, and i got to go out and hang around a bit in Tripoli and i kept listening to some of his friends talking about the city and the activities going around ..

First of all, you cannot possibly find any pub, night club or whatsoever .. no one DARES to open such a thing because they might get bombed or god knows what …

This is Tripoli i remind you, North of Lebanon, not Iraq.
The Restaurants barely serve any alcohol, of course arguileh ( which is probably 10 times more harmful ) is allowed ..

Added to that, you barely spot any girl around here, i always heard about Tripoli being the gay capital of Lebanon, well maybe thats the case cause you cant find any girls around, so the guys get creative :-)

Sadly enough its quite a nice region overviewing the sea and there are lots of beach resorts, but its all buildings and walls, no spirit in that town ..

I dont think i can last longer than a weekend here, but its a good place to go to if you just wanna relax and lie down a bit ..

Finally, there are still few hours till i get back to civilization !

Reference to the post i made yesterday about the facebook group that was founded by FPMers & co insulting the patriarch ..
Seems it was hacked today by some LF guys ..

Good job guys ..

LFdotCOM

Yesterday I received a shocking email I would like to share with everyone. It was sent to me by the “Lebanese Forces Official Website - Technical Manager” and it said the following:

Dear,

Attached is a MEMO from Dr. Samir Geagea confirms that the ONLY official website is the www.lebabese-forces.com.

ALL other websites should be close or join as a sub domain the official website.

Thank you for your cooperation.

Waiting your reply ASAP

Best Regards,
XXNAME REMOVEDXX
Lebanese Forces Official Website - Technical Manager

Attached Memo

It wasn’t the first time I had received an email from someone at Lebanese-Forces.com asking me to shutdown my sites. It seems every time they have a new webmaster or “technical manager” I get the same generic email asking me to shutdown everything. So I replied back with my own generic email saying:

You close down your site, mine was here first.

Usually I don’t get a reply back or if I do its a don’t know if you are joking or serious type of email but this time I got a reply back that shocked me:

Dear,

IT IS A DIRECT ORDER FROM DR. GEAGEA. It is either you follow up the Lebanese Forces and its leader Dr. Geagea or you open another party on your own. We appreciate any effort done for the Lebanese Forces but it is time to be a single unit and it is not a matter of which site was up first. Anyway hope that you can understand that you are hurting the Lebanese Forces like that and not helping as you think.

Hope that you will obey Dr. geagea order.

Regards,

It is a direct order??? Did I enroll in the military and not know about it? And whats this attitude of if you don’t like it go open your open own party? So I replied back the following:

I don’t take orders and this isn’t the military so spare me this mumbo jumbo. Your narrow minded mentality is hurting the Lebanese Forces and u if you don’t believe in freedom and liberty of speech then I think you should go open a party of your own.

I will agree to close my website if you show me just one example where a political party in a democratic country ordered sites supporting their party to shutdown. If you can show me one time where a political party in a democratic country put a muzzle on its supporters then I will shutdown all the websites LebaneseForces.com, SamirGeagea.com, Ouwet.com and LFpics.com.

Instead of trying to support the sites that are supporting the party and instead of trying to promote more people to create websites in support of the party you are going around trying to shut them down? You know how ridiculous you sound?

The next time you contact me it better start off with an apology and end with a strategic plan on online expansion. Its 2008 and the Internet is the future and you are going around trying to take us back to the middle ages. Its about time you wake up and understand what the digital frontier is all about.

Thank you
Mark

I didn’t get an apology back but I did get a glimpse of their strategy and it seems its called “Lets do whatever Tayyar are doing”. Here is the response I got back:

Dear Mark,

Our purpose is to serve the case of the Lebanese Forces our aim in closing other websites is to have a UNIQUE official website not like having 4 or 5 official websites. I will ask u a reverse question:” how many LFPM “tayyar” website they have?!!!” they have a unique website www.tayyar.org” and all tayyar people access this website to get the info and news of tayyar and political news.

In LF we have several websites claiming that they are official. For ex, you have www.samirgeagea.com and samir geagea himself doesn’t want such website because he wants a website for the party and not for himself.

Finally, the main reason behind having one website is that we have a team that is meeting with Dr. geagea once a week to get the info and the strategy and to work on it. Other websites are writing the info that they found important and they are writing their point of view which may be against the view of the Lebanese Forces and the leader Dr. geagea.

It is not a matter of military orders or not it is only to use all power in one place

This guys replies were getting more and more shocking so I replied back with the following:

So because Tayyar don’t have sites supporting them you want the LF to be like them? The Tayyar is who you want to copy? Is this the lowest point in LF history or what?

Are Obama and Hillary Clinton emailing the sites that are supporting them and asking them to close down? Is George Bush sending emails to all the websites that support him and asking them to shutdown? Is Justin Timberlake emailing his fans and telling them to shutdown their websites?

Even Mahmoud Ahmadinejad wouldn’t send an email out to websites that support him and ask them to shutdown!

I have never and still don’t claim my website is official so I don’t see why you are accusing me of doing so. If Samir Geagea doesn’t want an official website about himself thats his prerogative but that doesn’t mean no one else is allowed to have a site dedicated to him.

If users and websites are writing their point of view and it conflicts with the LF point of view well guess what? Deal with it! Thats why its called their point of view! Its because its theirs and not the LF. Once again I would like to remind you this is not a dictatorship, we are a party that DOES believe in freedom of speech and that means if you agree with it or not, people have the right to state their opinions.

Look at the republicans and democrats in the States, you think that democrats don’t attack democrats or republicans don’t attack republicans? You think there aren’t any republican websites out there that are talking negatively about Bush? Does that make them less republican? Of course it doesn’t!

Notice how I give you examples from one of the most successful democracies in the world but yet you give me examples like Tayyar.org and ideologies from countries like Saudi Arabia and China where freedom of speech is controlled.

I still haven’t gotten a reply back and I don’t think I will. Since when do we use the FPM as an example of what we would like to achieve? After all our online achievements the new technical manager comes and says we want to be like Tayyar.org? You know why he is saying that? It’s because he doesn’t understand the first thing on what needs to be done to create a successful online strategy.

They look at Tayyar.org and they see that they get a lot of traffic so they think how come we aren’t getting a lot of traffic? Is it because our website sucks or is it because we have a strong online presence? It must be because we have a strong online presence, so lets shutdown all the LF websites and keep ours open that way we will get all their traffic.

Where do they find these people? I don’t blame the LF technical manager, its not his fault that he doesn’t know anything about how the Internet works and how it can be used to our advantage. I blame the person who hired him, I blame the people who have been feeding Samir Geagea with incorrect and inaccurate information.

Am I going to shutdown the websites? Not in a million years.

Fairouz has decided to show up on stage after a long absence in a play named “Sa7 el Nom” In SYRIA !

Now i understand she is an artist and is far from politics, but i believe artists, writers, actors, politicians, sportsmen all should boycott Syria until it gets us our prisoners back, it gets the hell out of our land …

We should all resist in our way, and Fairouz giving Syria the privilege of showing after such a long absence and helping this ennemy have its capital declared the Cultural Capital of 2007 is unacceptable !

Akram Shehayeb urged earlier Fairouz not to sing, but to be honest, i would prefer if he kept his mouth shut ..
Anyone who was a slave to the Syrians and collaborated with them has no right to ask for such a thing .. only those who resisted the occupation can speak ..

Fairouz will sing inevitably, sing in Damascus that will be declared Cultural Capital of the Arab world ..
Fairouz will sing for Syria, the enemy that has spoiled our festivals on a yearly basis, that stole Beirut’s soul and kicked out its youth and assassinated its finest young men & women ..

Shame.

AUB elections were held today and as per the latest results, M14 won the majority of the seats.
Their logo this year was a student holding a pen ( in black) and a yellow background, very much resembling the Hezbollah flag.

I found it very smart, it is sending a clear message that our sole weapon should be our pen, our voice and not destructive missiles and weapons.

Mabrouk for M14.

After the patriarch apparently failed them, our dear Irange friends now have a new spiritual leader, a leader that has charisma, eloquence, everything ( according to their standards of course).

Here is a picture of this great ‘clean’ leader, who has no time to shave, no time to take a bath, yet loved and supported by a big portion of the Lebanese .. and you ask me how can i live with such people who see such a disgrace to human kind as a leader to them ??

If someone read Pierre Atallah’s article yesterday on the reasons behind the bomb that was planted under Fadi Shamati’s car, it was mentioned that Fadi had started a lawsuit agains a facebook group named “El Batrak 2assel el Bala” that was created by supposebly Aounists ..

This group still exists, however its admins deleted all the pictures and videos that were there.

The comments are simply disgraceful, shameful …
This is the level Aoun wants to drag Christians into, the level of a thug like Sleiman Frangieh ..

How I wish I could take Lebanon in my hands and cradle it like a baby. I wish I could hold it and say ” everything is going to be alright”. The evil knocks on the door of a long and fitful night. Before long there will be war. Another Syrian sponsored war to reach the same goal of domination.

Where are you Bachir? Where is the Lebanese leader who can rally a nation from its knees? How I wished I could be that man. How I wished that I could speak to the heart of my nation and find its common cord. The theme that brings us to unity.

Imagine a Lebanon where quiet prevails. Imagine a nation where a criminal is caught and put in Jail, where a politician is forced to represent his constituents. Imagine a nation where the rule of law is stronger than a family and more just than a bribe. Imagine a nation where the people get angry when something threatens their environment. Imagine country where the last thing a citizen thinks about is if his lights go out or his street is unpaved. Imagine a Lebanon where people wonder when they can get back to it and not get away from it; where the only visa you get is to go on vacation and it is given to you with a smile.

Picture this green and mountainous country with a turquoise blue Mediterranean lapping at its shores. Picture prosperity and Beirut. Picture a clean coastline teeming with tourists and fun. Picture a nation at peace with itself. Picture a people who are so proud that no one can ever come between their country and them.

Picture the dream you have becoming reality.

Believe me.

Every Lebanese has the same image of Lebanon. It is the Lebanon that cares first about its citizens than about its neighbors. It is a Lebanon that fights first for its people and their security. It is a nation that makes peace with its neighbors and forgives them their trespasses because there is no way to live in hatred and in fear. Imagine your nation being the place that you would die for every day and live for every second. Imagine that you, your country and your fellow countryman were one and the same.

How would you treat yourself.

Imagine you were the Leader of Lebanon,

and Lead by example.

President Bush arrived in Israel on Wednesday to begin a weeklong trip in the Middle East intended to overcome deep skepticism by Israelis and Palestinians about the prospects of a negotiated peace in the last year of Mr. Bush’s presidency [...]

I was wondering why Bush cancelled his visit to Lebanon, it would have been the biggest boost to M14 and to the government and a slap in the face to Hezbollah and its threats ..

Battal Ouwet Lebneniyye Fadi el Shamati ?? Battal 7ada bya3erfo min el Ouwet ?
What is wrong with us ? Is this how we are repaying those brave ex-Lfers for fighting for the Cause and getting jailed and beaten ??

I used to hear about Fadi being caught everytime someone mentioned Samir Geagea on TV, everytime we had a demonstration, yet he kept his struggle and did an immense work along with other Lfers to revive Ilige’s mass and clean the place and make it a decent place for our martyrs to rest …

I truly find it shameful that the Kataeb condemned the assassination, yet no word from any LF responsible ..

Is it too hard to ask for a simple PR ??

Anyway from what i know, Fadi doesnt care .. why should he anyway ?? he never worked for a person .. he worked for a cause and is still is .. he is one of many LFers ( true Lfers) that were neglected and named all sorts of names ..

Many asked Dr.Geagea for a general reconciliation to reunite the ranks .. bass bala nafe3 and for reasons no one would understand ..

I just read on Lebanonfiles that a small bomb exploded under a Renault Clio car owned by Fadi el Shamati ( an LFer) but he was not reported hurt or injured.

What the hell do they want with this guy ?? He is far from politics, far from all those tensions .. he has been since years now.

Another Rainbow was spotted today in the Lebanese skies .. that must be a good thing :-)

I was quite surprised to read that Syria agreed on the Arab League plan to elect Michel Suleiman as the next president without any preliminary conditions. That was a slap in the face to Hezbollah and his allies ..

The proposal calls for the immediate election of General Suleiman, whose nomination as head of state is supported by both sides; the formation of a national unity government in which Suleiman would hold the balance of power through ministers close to him; and the adoption of a new electoral law.

Syria cant be lying to all Arab countries, it cannot afford to get isolated by the Arabs and the whole World … It wants Suleiman as president since it will keep her in Lebanon somehow, and it will allow her as well to keep its allies which cannot afford to turn their back on Syria, or i would say, do not have the guts to do so ..

From what i see, Hezbollah will chicken out and wont do any wrong move and simply accept the orders given to him ..
Iran will not jeopardize its relation with Syria cause of a 1/3 quota the Opposition is demanding, it cares less since HA is still armed and powerful ..

Who is the biggest loser here of course ? Michel Aoun ..

What a lousy alliance he made and what a crappy result he came out with .. this must go down as the biggest political failure ever seen in history if the Arab League scenario is applied ..

It was 1988 and I was in class. Monsif National School to be exact. It was an ordinary day at school but something odd was happening up in Baabda.

Something very odd in fact. But lets tell it like it is, why lie anymore?

It was always about you wasn’t it.

You couldn’t be content to leave well enough alone. You couldn’t just say ” gosh I am so lucky to be here”. Nope. You had to go fuck the whole shit up.

First you started with the folklore.

Calling the people to come camp out like it was Lalapalooza or Woodstock. Yeah to hell with school and work, just come hang out, right?. You had to bring them up because you were scared like a little squirrel gets scared when it is picking up a nut. Only you were the squirrel and the nut at the same time.

You couldn’t say ” enough is enough” . No, you had to have the people singing and dancing and shouting and more than anything praising you. Nobody really knew that you were protecting your ass from attack by having a human shield 24 hours / 7 days a week. they didn’t know that you were a coward back then. You were talking such a big game to everyone with all those soldiers defending you.

Nope it didn’t stop there, Somehow you got people to go to every school and every classroom. You weren’t content with just talking a lot of shit and beating your chest like King Kong on too much crack cocaine. No you had to collect all our lunch money too. Yes sir , you ;the most honest politician in Lebanon, needed to get donations from every child who wanted a man2oushe instead.

So you even got the school administration to beg for you.

I was in class, yes I was. I wasn’t happy to be there and I was even less happy when the door knocked and the school counselor walked in.

“Everyone should donate money to General Michel Aoun” . Huh? donate my good lunch money???

What kind of bullshit crap is that?

But sure enough they walked around with a big jar and literally stole our valuable, useful, food purchasing Liras.

I can never forget watching my 5,000 LL drop into that thieves excuse for a collection jar. Gone it was, and gone was my Pampa Ananas juice and Man2oushe with banadoura and Labne. Gone I tell you. GONE.

GONE FOR WHAT?

Gone to the General of the Sha3b el Gasheem thats for what. I wonder how many millions and millions of dollars were collected from poor unsuspecting children in that year of infamy.

But let me tell you something. I haven’t forgotten. NO SIR I HAVEN’T . Not one piaster of those 5000 excellent man2oushe buying LIRAS

Yes you crazy deranged cocksucking orange son of a bitch,

I WANT MY 5000 LIRAS BACK , ASSHOLE!

In fact I want the future value of 5000 liras with a compounded interest of 20% ( the interest rate back in those days) with a coefficient multiplier to make up for the devaluation of our currency ( which you helped to do dumbfuck).

I want every cent of those 5000 Liras back for a number of reasons.

Here are the top 5

1. I didn’t want to give it in the first place, you literally forced people to give up their money, KIDS IN SCHOOL NO LESS!

2. You took the money under the premise of FIGHTING SYRIA!! YOU LYING SON OF A WHORE

3. You ran away like the pansy assed, lilly livered, yellow rat coward bastard that you are and on top of that you left all your men to die you lowlife.

4. You ruined the color orange for me for the rest of my life.

5. You claim to want to open the files of corruption, and put all the thieving politicians away

WELL START BY GIVING ME BACK MY 5000 LIRAS YA 7AYAWEN!!

Happy Christmas to all Armenians and a blessed Epiphany to all Christians in General.

Epiphany, meaning ‘appearance’ or ‘manifestation’, is a Christian feast intended to celebrate the “shining forth” or revelation of God to mankind in human form, in the person of Jesus.

I love seeing all balconies lightened up on that night and most importantly i love eating la galette des rois :-)

Well it is about time … i heard it from a friend a while ago and it was hinted in one of the forums ..

6 years ( or more) of incompetence and passivness …

No activities worthy mentioning except masses, sits in, masses and masses ..

I truly hope Dr.Geagea will realize how crucial and important is the Youth factor in the LF Party and in the society.
The Jem3a Cha3biyye was a lousy start to say the least ..

We need an elite in our society, in the LF …

SUNG TO THE TUNE OF ‘STAIRWAY TO HEAVEN’ by LED ZEPPELIN

Theres a bearded lady who’s sure
All those villages are sold
and Irans buying our country for Hassan
When hassoun gets downtown he knows
That the stores will all close
With a tent he can get what he came for.
Ooh, ooh, and they’re buying a highway for Hassan

They say one third that’s all
That They need to be sure
cause you know that one third can have two meanings.
In an orange tree by the brook
There’s a cuckoobird who sings,
Sometimes all Aoun’s thoughts are misleading.
Ooh, it makes him blunder,
Ooh, it really makes him dumber.

There’s a feeling I get
When I look to the west,
And my countrymen are crying and leaving.
In the news I have seen
Orange tires burn through the trees,
And the voices of “al mowto li amrika”.
Ooh, it makes me wonder,
Ooh, it really makes me wonder.

And its whispered that hassoon
If we all sing his evil tune
Their wilayet al faqih is in full season.
And a new day will Aoun
For those few who stand along
And his allies will use him with laughter.

If there’s bullshit in your head now
Dont be alarmed now,
Its just an Otv from the rabiehqueen.
Yes, there are two paths you can go by
But in the long run
Theres still time to change the Aoun you’re on.
And it makes me wonder.

Your head is humming and it wont go
In case you don’t know,
The orangutans calling you to join him,
Dear Lebanon, can you hear the bomb blow,
And did you know
Your heroes die by the Syrian wing.

And as we march on down the road
Our causes strong within our soul.
There walks the evil we all know
Who fight our right and want to go
Back to the Syrian days of old.
And if you listen very hard
Bachir’s cause will come to you at last.
When Lebanon’s one and one for all
To be a rock and not to roll.

And Irans buying a highway for Hassan
