On the “Amernians” Post ..

I was reading the replies i got to the previous post i wrote on Armenians of Lebanon and to be honest i am very dissapointed even disgusted by some replies ..

Barely anyone understood the aim of my thread which was NOT directed towards the Armenian people, but the political parties !

“however the political parties that were founded never managed into integrating the Lebanese society, and kept distinguishing themselves as Armenians first then Lebanese”

This thinking applied by the political Armenian parties, of basically supporting whomever is in power is harming the Armenian people more than doing them good. It is essential that they integrate the society and consider Lebanon as their FIRST country

Is that so difficult to understand ??
Chou khass if there were Armenians in the LF or not ? chou khass if they fought for Kataeb or not ?

I know how patriotic were many Armenians enrolled in the Lebanese Forces and Kataeb, and many were in leading positions and the best men out there, and i can tell you stories about some of them as well ..

However this has NOTHING To do with what i wrote ..

I am talking about the political parties here whose political thought is dissapointing …

So Please do not take this as an insult to the Armenian people and read my post properly for God’s sake !

I dont wanna close my phone On May 1st …

I have been getting this mail from tons of people, i even found a group for it on facebook ..
My question to whomever sent it and whomever is participating !!!

How the hell are you gonna lower the cost by closing ur phone? Do u really think MTC or Alfa will be effected ? or maybe the Lebanese government will lower the taxes because you closed ur phone for a day??
I am not shutting down my phone, it is pointles ..

For all MTC and ALFA users!!!!

Are you happy with the phone bill or with the expense of pre-paid cards?
For the reason of the increase of the recharge phone cards &
phone bills (cell phones) a young group of Lebanese people decided to put a
stand about that issue therefore, we are going to shutdown our phones
on the 1st of May. We wish that you would agree with us and forward this email to all the Lebanese subscribers that had enough ih the way things are going …

Arent Sukleen workers human beings ?

Arent those people teb ? Cant Sukleen get a proper bus to carry them from one place to another ?? not even convicts are stuffed in a truck like that ..

That is how much we respect Human Rights in Lebanon, noting that it was Charles Malek, a Lebanese who contributed most to writing the draft for the Human Rights declaration, heh the irony !

In Memory of Pierre Boulos

I never knew Pierre, even though he attended two events i organized back in my university years, i checked the pictures back to find he was always on the front rows, listening carefully ..

i only wish i had known the guy …

Today a mass was organized for his 3rd assasination year.

Still no investigation on his killers, not even one clue on who might have done it, and no one asking for the truth as if only Hariri was assasinated …

Shame on us !

For those who dont know, Pierre Boulos was brutally assassinated and thrown in the back of his car for the simple reason of being an LFer back in 2004.

I found this LF PR by mistake released by the LF back in 2004 2 days after the murder of Pierre Boulos, written by Hanna Atiq.

That is the latest fashion in Lebanon, collecting weapons barke 3el2it !

I am talking about my good friends here, not just random people .. whom i never thought would get be interested in weapons, and others who are addicted to them, but given the current circumstances decided to make their collection bigger ..

I barely know anyone who doesnt have or is not thinking of getting a weapon .. this is a disgusting mentality lal sara7a … All i know is that am proud i dont have one.

I hate weapons, always did and always will. I dont see the point of getting one unless you intend to kill and if you really want to do so, you belong in prison.

If only we could get Lebanese to disarm and give up all their weapons, and put some sense into some weapons freaks !

I was mentioning this issue to a friend and he asked me a question which says it all:

“Are you ready to kill or get killed ?”

لم ينسحبوا!
ليس مهمًا كثيرًا القول بانسحاب الجيش السوري بقدر ما هو من الأهمية بمكان أن نقول ماذا يفعل السوريون بعد انسحابهم وأي كرة نار يحاولون تمريرها صوبنا من تحت الخط الأزرق المفترض أو من فوقه؟
لا يحسن بشار الأسد فن الخطابة إن لم يشملنا بعطفه ولو بتهديد معلَّب بكلمتين!
أي خطر كبير هو الذي يزحف إلينا في حال مشت المحكمة الدولية بسلام تحت الفصل السابع؟ وما هي خارطة الطريق الى جهنم لبنانية حمراء يرسمها مع موظفيه وحَمَلَة همومه الدائمين عندناa؟
يهددنا بشار الأسد، يعرف الحرب جنيناً قبل أن تطول أظافرها وقبل أن يصير لها فم ينفخ نارًا وقدم تعصر دمًا؟
خبيرٌ بشار الأسد، يتقن رجم الناس باللغة الحمراء باحثاً عن منّ السلام وسلواه مع إسرائيل ونافخاً ببوق الحرب ضدها في لبنان.
انسحب بشار من لبنان ليستطيع أن يراه أكثر وضوحًا من سوريا، ويرتاح في تفخيخ سلامه وتشريد أولاده على ظهور الحيتان بحثاً عن الأمان في مشارق الأرض ومغاربها.
يكمل الأسد المهدد تحت سقف عرينه مشروع تغطية أكتاف الأرز بمشالح الرماد، ويراهن على دمشقيِّيه اللبنانيين بموازاة سقف سماء الجولان بالقماش الأبيض المطرّز بالحمام الأبيض وأغصان الزيتون.
لم ينسحب الأسد من لبنان إنما غيّر موقعه ليكمل الحرب من موقع آخر، فلا أحد يغرّه تعديل الانتشار على الجغرافيا طالما أن الكلام يدل على صاحبه، وهو البيّنة التي لا تحتاج الى تفسير واجتهاد.
دم أحرارنا لن يجف على أرصفة وطنهم، والخوف كائنٌ يقيم بين رؤوسنا وبين الوسادة، وأيّامنا حُبْلى ولن تَلِدَ إلا شهداء ومخطوفين ومهاجرين.
محظوظ أسد سوريا بلبنانيين يلبّون خاطره فيعزّ عليهم أن يروه متهمًا ولو بدماء إخوتهم وهم يخوّنونهم شهداءَ وأحياءَ يُرزقون.
من يُلهم بشار الأسد بالبحث عن سلام معنا ويُقنعه بجعلنا متساوين مع الإسرائيليين بالنسبة إليه؟ من يقول له إنه قتل وخطف وهجّر الكثير منا، الكثير الكثير الذي لم تلحظه ملفات المحكمة الدولية وعندنا آلاف الأمهات والآباء يشهدون بلغة الدمع ولا يزورهم لا بان كي مون ولا نيقولا ميشال.
نحن لا نتهم ولا نشك. نحن نسمّي والقتيل بمعرفة قاتله أخبر.

172 terrorist suspects arrested in Saudi Arabia

I was discussing that with a friend and to be honest , i dont buy it ..
172 arrest without a single shot .. i remember more drama when arresting a dozen or even less …
Weapons hidden in the desert ??

It just doesnt add up .

Riyadh – Police in Saudi Arabia arrested 172 suspected militants linked to seven terrorist cells including Osama bin Laden’s al-Qaeda terrorist network in a series of raids in different cities, a spokesman for the Saudi Interior Ministry said Friday.

The suspects included several Saudi nationals and people of Yemeni and African origin, mainly Nigerian. Observers in Saudi Arabia said the raids had been staged over several months.

They had been planning terrorist attacks on oil facilities and refineries and military bases using aircraft, spokesman Mansur al- Turki said, adding that several suspects had been trained as pilots.

The largest cell had 61 members, and had been planning to assassinate officials in Mecca, according to the Saudi Press Agency. Nine members had planned to free their comrades from a prison in Jeddah.

Their leader had apparently selected them while they were going around the Kaaba in Mecca, as Muslim pilgrims do during Hajj.

The leader of the cell had operated several sports’ clubs where the recruits were being trained, the source added.
Other cells had been planning to assassinate public figures and officials and attack military bases.

Five of the 172 suspects were reportedly involved in a terrorist attack last year. On February 24, 2006, Saudi security forces foiled an attempted suicide attack on an oil processing facility in eastern Saudi Arabia.

A weapons cache including several weapon and more than 20 million Saudi riyals (around 5.3 million dollars) had been seized, the spokesman added said, adding, ‘…al-Qaeda was still trying to revive its activities.’

Islamist militants linked to the al-Qaeda network have staged a series of attacks in Saudi Arabia in recent years, targeting mainly foreigners and security personnel.

Filth starting to show ..

I was just applauding how both M8 & M14 groups calmed the situation and appeased their supporters, and i hear today MP Ibrahim Kanaan commenting on the crime saying:

“نحن نستنكر هذه الجريمة ونعتبر انفسنا مصابين في الصميم. كل الجرائم تحاول اعادتنا الى الوراء، الى ايام نريد ان ننساها لاننا لم نعد نتحمل ولا نستطيع التضحية اكثر .إن الايدي الساعية الى التقسيم بات اصحابها معروفين، ويجب وضع رؤية وطنية تجمع كل اللبنانيين وتنقذ لبنان من هذه الازمة.

Lachou hal tolteech el bala ta3me ? Whats the point of turning this politically ??

Exploiting the brutal murder of two innocent Lebanese, one of them an 11 YEAR OLD is a crime by itself.

Keep your mouth shut Kanaan achraf .. ya 3ayb el shoum.

I will refrain from posting pictures

I will not post the pictures of the two dead victims, i saw them early this morning and they are disturbing. Some news mentioned the victims were tortured but in all cases, they were killed the same day they got kidnapped and their bodies have been lying for days, which explain how damaged their bodies were.

May they rest in peace and May God help their folks.

Reactions to the brutal murder ..

This is soo not ending here, the killing of a 12 and 25 year old innocent civilians in such a brutal way will not be forgotten that quickly i am afraid, but i do applaud 14M & 8M leaders who avoided turning this into a political incident.

It is personal and should stay that way, i am not sure how they are gonna stop Ghandour & Kabalan’s families from taking their vengeance, the army already yesterday was all over trying to calm the suburbs of Beirut, the only way maybe is to catch the criminals and punish them.

I read on TV yesterday Elias El murr saying he knows who did it and they are after him, the sooner they catch him, the better and i dont think anything less than a death penalty will calm the family ( even though am not personally supportive of death penalties).

May the two victims rest in peace.

R.I.P Ziads

So they killed them … i saw that coming but honestly didnt wanna post about it, didnt wanna lose hope that those innocent people must be released somehow .. but my prayers werent answered .. both were killed as soon as they got kidnapped ..

This is disgusting, this is unbearable anymore ..a 12 years old for God’s sake !!!

May you rest in peace Ziad & Ziad … if only i could get my hands on those criminals !

The Kidnapping of Ramzi Irani

At 16:30 Beirut Time On Tuesday the 7th of May 2002, the Engineer Ramzi Albert Irani was kidnapped in the middle of the very busy “Hamra” Street in Beirut and disappeared since without leaving a trace. He was on his way home to celebrate with his family the birthday of his 5 year old daughter.

The Lebanese Intelligence Services issued two press releases back then if i am not mistaken DENYING their involvment in that act and claiming that they know nothing about it ..

On May 20, 2002, Our Martyr, Ramzi Irani was found in the trunk of his own car killed after he was tortured.

I couldnt but remember our rafee2 Ramzi Irani after hearing about the two Lebanese kidnapped yesterday, and it is worthy noting that there are still no official demands to find out who killed him and Pierre Boulos and many other LFers assassinated in the ugliest ways ..

Ziad & Ziad Kidnapped …

Ziad Kabalan & Ziad Ghandour were both kidnapped while driving, two cars blocked their way and armed men went out and took them and left the car in place.

Apparenlty, all the Lebanese leaders understood how serious this is, starting with Jumblatt who made contact with Berri for the first time in a while, and visited the victims’ parents the next day.

Today, everyone releases a PR condeming this act and asking to resolve it asap.
All those events lately unfortunatelly are signs of a war, the only difference this time everyone i hope is more aware about the consequences of a civil war.

Armenians in Lebanon or Lebanese Armenians ?

The remembrance of the 1915 Armenian Genocide was commemorated few days ago by the Armenians in Lebanon. 8 years are still left for the Armenians people to get Turkey to approve this massacre or else they will lose their right to do so.

However, this topic is not about the genocide, but the Armenians’ integration in Lebanon.

When the genocide occured, thousands of Armenians fled to Lebanon and have been growing in numbers since then, however the political parties that were founded never managed into integrating the Lebanese society, and kept distinguishing themselves as Armenians first then Lebanese.

During the war, Armenians political parties supported the Anti-Syrian forces yet refused to fight with them, and later on, it turned out that they were kidnapping soldiers and exchanging them with the Pro-Syrians and vice versa.

During the Syrian hegemony, Tashnaq the biggest Armenian party was a Syrian ally.
After the Cedars Revolution and during the elections, Tashnaq stood with Aoun.

This thinking applied by the political Armenian parties, of basically supporting whomever is in power is harming the Armenian people more than doing them good. It is essential that they integrate the society and consider Lebanon as their FIRST country.

Youssef Wajih Frangieh dead ?

I was just informed by a friend that Youssef Wajeeh Frangieh, the criminal who shot two LFers in Dahr el Ain almost a year ago, and who was taken to Syria by Sleiman Frangieh to keep him safe, died on Tuesday in Syria.

Hay2itto 2inta7ar a la “Ghazi Kanaan” …

I have no respect for this criminal … tfeh !

It has begun …

Since the tribunal issue is being finalized, the Opposition started its attack on the presidential elections. As expected, Berri gave everyone high hopes by announcing 25th of september as a date for presidential elections, but he put conditions and paved the way for Hezbollah’s offensive on the 14th of March team.

HA never believed in democracy and he is proving it again, the harsh attacks by Hezbollah’s MPs in the past few days all stated that HA will not accept a president elected by the 14th of March !!!!

What is the point of winning the majority in the parliament if you cannot vote for a president that represents you ?? In what consitution is it written that a majority must satisfy the minority’s demands ??

Naiim Qassem declared yesterday that they will not recognize any president from the 14th of march team.

ان كانت محطة لانتخاب رئيس الجمهورية وفق آليات الدستور ‏اي بثلثي نصاب الجلسة فنعم، يمكن ان تكون النهاية هناك، لكن اذا كنتم تتوقعون اختيار ‏رئيس بالتدليس على الدستور ومحاولة اختياره بالاكثرية، فهذا يعني انه لا يوجد رئيس
نعم ‏هو رئيسكم، رئيس الاغلبية النيابية التي اختارته وليس رئيسا للبلاد، عندها سنتعامل مع ‏هذا الرئيس المختار اذا اراد ان يحتل رئاسة البلاد كمنتحل للصفة ومغتصب للسلطة وخائن ‏للدستور وسنحوله على المحاكمة لان لبنان اما ان يرأسه رئيس وفق الدستور واما ان لا يكون ‏لاحد اي حق ان يأتي بانسان من هنا وهناك ويتسلط على المواطنين فلبنان المعارضة والمقاومة ‏والشرف لا يمكن ان يقبل بمثل هذا الاداء».

There is a consitution and is clear on the presidential elections, who gave Qassem the right to critisize the constitution ??

Hezbollah is working for keeping the presidential seat empty and weakening further the Christians and entering the country into a chaotic situation.. There are few months left for the elections and unless we start working on it from now, its gonna be disastrous to say the least ..

“Elections” in Syria ..

Probably the biggest joke ever, Elections in Syria.

Why bother organize elections and insult the world’s intelligence by claiming that those are democratic elections ?

All Independant MPs were thrown in jail last year, one of them MP Maamun Homsi who fled to Lebanon earlier this year. Michel Kilo, another opposition member is still in jail.

There is no opposition in Syria, no one is running against the Baath party, the 99.9998% of the Syrian people will vote once again for Bashar el Assad and Baath, as they have been doing since the coup in 1973.

There are no reports on those elections from any paper, no international surveillance, no nothing, and from what i read in the papers, barely anyone is voting.
