Another great article by Dr.Najm, enlightening Christians leaders on their current situation, pointing out the failures of their parties, elaborating a solution that will resolve the current crisis and strenghen us as Christians and as Lebanese in general.

This is a call for the current Christians leaders and the followers to start thinking serioulsy about building Federal multi-confessional parties ..

By first listing the reasons, Dr.Najm goes on to show us how Christian parties failed to translate their political achievements on a national level, but on the contrary were forced to further compromises.

I urge you to read carefully this article, mainly those who think Federalism is only about division and sectarianism, this is Dr.Najm’s ultimate aim in his project, having Lebanon as a big federal party ruled equally by all confessions.

Meaning of the LF Cross.

This is far from being a radical symbol, on the contrary this cross was done by Religious people in a MONASTERY to be a Resistance sign for all those defending the Christians.
It was done back in 1984, when Hakim was not even yet in power and was only distributed to LFers who attended this event called ‘ Resistant Prayer Day’.

Djuan and others, stop polluting this cross’s image because it is a religious sign and our lord’s sign as well, there are tons of crosses shaped in different ways, it is not a blasphemy to change its form and it makes perfect sense once u read its interpretation.

I will not allow insults on that cross on the blog, so unless you have a reasonable thing to say, go ahead.

Now the point that those attacking the LF and its cross want to make is somehow valid, but is being tackled the wrong way. I have posted repeatedly that the LF cross has been abused by the LF supporters during Hakim’s jailing and even now and this has created a very bad image of that cross, Al-Massira posted about it once condeming this wrong use of this religious symbol, and Hakim even pointed out that he doesnt wanna see it on flags.

The LF Cross must stay, it is a great symbol in which our martyrs believed and died, and it should stay one of the LF official symbols, however i strongly believe it should be banned from being put on flags, on walls or LF related pictures because it is giving it a bad image.

Finally, i urge everyone here to condemn the bad usage of this cross and not the cross itself, and in the same way, condemn few LF actions and not label the LF cause of some individuals.

I just heard from a friend that Hezbollah is harrassing Christians in the South, they are coming with lists to the towns and accusing the villagers of getting armed and acquiring weapons ..

I was told this happened a week ago or more, but i prefer not mentioning the village name until stories are confirmed.

Hezbollah has harassed the Christian villages mainly those near the borders for years now, such acts dont surprise me to be honest .. and if it happens to be true, the argument would be Israeli agents infiltrated the village

I have been hearing that the new manifesto is on its way to be launched in max 3 months.
The LF will be holding its general meeting and announcing the new political line and structure for the party apparently.

What will the NEW LF be ? Whats with the timing ??

The Presidential elections will occur in September, are we changing our line to an electoral presidential one in order to get Hakim to presidency ? or are we enhancing our manifesto to propose a solution similar to Federalism for our crisis ?? or are we dropping Federalism ?

The LF is performing well christian-wise, regardless what i think, it is getting more popular and gaining political ground, but there are still many problems, mainly the inner divisions that are still growing and causing more intellectuals to leave the LF while the masses are joining.

No new LF can be born without all LFers regrouped, and i mean ALL LFers, not the ones Hakim picks.

The LF is Federalism, is the LF Cross, is the Christian Cause.

Any change of those means the LF we knew, the LF Bash founded is over.

Has anyone heard of the SSNP lately ?? where are they ?? too scared to do anything ?? or preparing another crime ?

It is ironic how they were so active while the Syrians were here, now zemmeeena khifaneen ma ya3emlo chi ghalta ba3ed wou yokhlasso mazbout ..

UNLESS, and thats where my money is, they are too busy planting the bombs all over the regions to scare the people and deliver Syrian messages that any solution to the crisis wont pass.

I havent read this guy before, he writes in Al Mustaqbal apparently named Paul Chaoul.

لا يتوانى الاباتي بولس نعمان عن الاعلان عن رأيه بصراحة أيا كانت الظروف وآراء الآخرين. يقول قناعاته ويدافع عن خياراته. ويعتبر «ان في لبنان اليوم ثلاثة مشاريع: المشروع الشيعي والمشروع السني والمشروع التعددي الذي هو مشروع المسيحيين التاريخي. فاما يكون لبنان موطن الاقليات المتعددة في الشرق واما لا يكون. واذا شاء الآخرون بقاء لبنان لا بد من ان يعودوا الى الخيار الماروني».

A very well placed final sentence.

Lebanon today has three different plans, the Shiite plan and the Sunnite plan and the decentralized pluralistic plan that has been the historic plan of Christians for years. If the others want Lebanon to stay, they must agree with the Christian ( Maronite) Choice.
