My final contribution to today’s event, on my way to Beirut, i was passing next to MTC where the road was still almost closed, so i went down and removed all the rocks and tyres and opened the road ….

Ya3teene alf 3afye :P

As 14th of march just said, if the army cant open the roads, we will do it ourselves.

I just heard from some friends, and earlier on NTV and even on the Tayyar site that Nahr el Mot road was opened now …

Whats next now ? Airport highway?

Yalla Ya Shabeb ..

Fida 7atoum

Aoun was asked by NTV reporter about preventing people from crossing the roads and reaching their work, homes,,,etc. She told him isn’t this against freedom and democracy? And guess what was Aoun’s reply: “Eh ma hinni 3am yimna3ouna noussal 3al parliament, w Firas Hatoum 7aibseeno…”

Wlak rooooooooooooooo7 ya fakhaimto, Lebanese Nero

Looks like Fpmers burned by mistake their own Kiosk :P

This girl was stopped at the last second by the army from hitting the demonstrators, she just wanted to get through them at any price…

Update:
Rampurple just pasted me that :
“… some motorists insisted on driving through the blockade. A lady, driving a dark blue Mercedes, was attacked by protestors who tried to smash her vehicle’s wind shield. The apparently determined lady sped-on hitting three of the protestors, who were evacuated later by an Amal ambulance. ”

Flag was spotted @ Nahr el Kalb road block, see now we know why roads got cleared that fast :P

Looks like today is an LF day and not an FPM one.

I’ve been checking the Tayyar site since the early morning, it is all about LF did this and LF did that, well I honestly didnt know we were that numerous, so Thank you :)

I was there and saw what happened and the clash became inevitable because of the army and no one else !

FPMers blocked the roads since 5 am or even earlier, by parking their cars in the middle of the road and forming a human chain on both sides of the highway.

There were few army men deployed capable of forcing the demonstrators to leave the spot and clear the roads ( check pic below).

Maybe this is the way the Opposition wants the people to react, they are imposing their political stances and opinions by force on the people, some people will react and impose theirs.

Ahmad el Ahmadiyye ( PSP) drove with his range rover straight into the burned tires, shot at the demonstrators, killed one and injured another and ran away.

More pics ..

Those i took while on way to Beirut ..

Why are all the fights in Christian regions ??
Why the FPMers and LFers are only fighting ??

Notice how Hezbollah blocked the roads far from any Sunnite presence and controlled the areas around it and all the sensitives blocks are put in Christian regions !

The army is to be blamed for not acting rapidly and they will bare the consequences ..
Nahr el Kalb was opened after the LFers forced their way in.

The same thing will happen everywhere, and i dont blame any side for it.

I just heard that Nahr el Kalb road was opened and it was the LFers who opened it after almost starting a fight and not the army.

What a shame !

Yalla few more roads to go ..

If anything happens today, it is cause of the army.
What the hell are they waiting for to clear the roads ??

I was stuck on my way down to Beirut, there were barely few FPMers blocking the roads, it was very easy to simply remove them and clear it, but NO we have to wait for 3 hours until tons of LFers regroup on the spot and call for reinforcements.

I am not asking the Army to beat the demonstrators but to force them to clear the freakin’ roads !!

Now there are more LFers than FPmers on every road block and who know what might happen.

More pictures will be added to this post as soon as they are released. Keep checking the post through out the day. Click on continue reading to see all the pictures. (updated 11:50AM)

I Love Work

During his last speeches, Hakim seemed very confident that the Opposition is doomed to fail in its demonstrations and strikes and sit-ins. Hakim got us used to his calmness, so let us hope he is accurate in his calculations.

Every speech after the other, i see a bit of the “Old” Hakim showing, and i remember the old speeches he used to give.

In today’s speech, Hakim gave some strong statements, and asked everyone to have a normal day tomorrow and never come back home under any circumstances, the army will keep the roads open and work shall continue normally.

Geagea said the general strike, scheduled for Tuesday by the Hizbullah-led opposition, has “failed in advance,” predicting that the majority of the Lebanese citizens would not abide by it despite intimidation by some opposition factions.

“Tomorrow,” Geagea said, “the Lebanese people will determine their future and that of their children.”

“It is the free choice of every citizen to express his opinion, either by observing the strike or disregarding it. So why are they intimidating the people?” Geagea asked.

Some opposition factions, according to Geagea, distributed leaflets advising the population to “remain at home. Don’t leave your homes unless there was an urgent need.”

“Why? Are we in a state of war? During the Israeli aggression last summer citizens were advised to remain indoors, but why now?” he asked.

“Because they (opposition) realized that their strike call would fail, or has actually failed,” he replied.

“Tomorrow, with God’s blessings, we’ll go to work, to schools, to fields … We should face evil with good, calm and determination,” he added.

“If roads were blocked, don’t return home. The army and security forces would reopen them … Be determined, but avoid provocation,” Geagea advised the Lebanese.

However, he held leaders of the opposition “responsible for any security problem … Our foes have lost their nerves.”

But this picture is too funny ..

Well Jumblatt said once that he prefers being a janitor in NY than a politician in Lebanon, well am just helping out in case he is still considering it.

loooooooooool

This cant be real …

Making fun of Americans

A normal phrase in normal circumstances but oh so loaded with political meanings on this 21st day of January, 2007…

Tomorrow I’m going to work, not because I support the current government, nor because I consider myself as a partisan of the Lebanese Forces political party, no…

I am going to work because I want to tell the likes of Nasser Andil, Wi2am Wahab, Assem and Ali Quanso, Hassan Nassrallah and the whole bunch that no matter what pressure they try to exert on us, no matter how hard they try, the Lebanese are sticking to their hard earned independence.

I am going to work tomorrow to tell Aoun that he does not speak for me, despite his constant claims that he represents what he represents of the Lebanese Christians…

I am going to work to tell the gangs of 8th March that I, and many like me will join me in this, to tell them that we have had enough of their carnivals and careless adventures with only one goal in mind: the destruction of Lebanon as Bachar had promised in case his armies were kicked out of Lebanon.

From the July war to the assasinations of dear dear people, to the fruitless sit in that has succeeded in nothing but destabilize the economy further.

We have had enough of their lies and pretentions…

I want to tell them that although they might have succeeded in buying the cooperation of some of the people, or scaring others into going along with them, or brainwashed groups of youth to believe what they say without casting a single doubt, they have not succeeded in convincing ALL of the Lebanese that they are who they claim they are…

If some have chosen to obliterate the memory of Hassan Nassrallah on the 8th of March claiming his allegiance to Syria from Riad el Solh square while we were asking it to leave, if some have found it convenient to believe that Wi2am Wahab and Nasser Andil have suddenly found the faith and are devout Lebanese Citizens, if some are too brainwashed to believe that the SSNP have not budged one iota off their program to syrianzse Lebanon, I and many many many other like me, others that Hassan Nassrallah may not consider as “ashraf al shurafa”, will not bow to their plans.

Who am I you might ask…well I am a Lebanese, Christian, Maronite from the Kaza of Becharre…with all the meanings that this order of priorities holds. My great grandfather fought the Turks, my grandfather fought the French, my father fought the Palestinians and I have fought the Syrians…and my son will continue the struggle against whoever wrongly feels that he can make this piece of land his.

I know my decision to go to work tomorrow holds many risks…I know that I might get injured and worse might be killed if I am to believe what general Aoun has been threatening with in his well known hidden meanings, in his press conferences so loaded with electricity and insanity, but for me, I feel I am not better than all the martyrs that paved the way for the Cedar Revolution…from Ramzi Irani all the way to Pierre Gemayel may the Lord rest their souls.

This said, I urge all the true free Lebanese, those who hold the spirit of Jubran in them, those who wept when Pierre Gemayel was brutally assassinated, those who felt with the wounds of May Chidiac, those who dreamt of a country free of all foreign intervention, those who aspire in raising their kids the traditional Lebanese way, the family values way to ignore the threats and terror tactics of 8th of March and show them their real size.

Remember, they may enslave your body but they can NEVER own your souls.
