I have read few replies that Aoun did not show any fake pictures during his interview on Manar TV.

Just to make things clear.

I waited few days to poast this video, hoping the hot heads will cool down. I agree with all of you what Nasrallah and Aoun did is wrong and they should be punished. Yet we tend to forget the other side of the picture. The other side is not innocent either. Check this short video of Future supporters how they insult religion and politicans.

I serioulsy suggest FPM and Aoun learn from the wrong information they spread this week and avoid them in the future.

I read the article in Naharnet yesterday and honestly found it a bit ackward that Israel would drop 8 balloons to poison people, but again this is Israel and it has done much worse stuff during the war and in the previous years, so i expected anything even though sending poisoned balloons seems stupid, but anyway it turns out our Lebanese media didnt do their job properly.

An Israeli promotional campaign involving balloons caused panic among Lebanese civilians Saturday when the wind carried them over the border into southern Lebanon.

However, the photographs published on the Web site of Hezbollah’s TV station Al-Manar show green balloons from a promotional campaign for Ha’ir, a Schocken group newspaper.

I will believe the Haaretz version to be honest.

Aoun & the Opposition leaders insisted that it was legitimate to go down and demonstrate the way they did and block roads and burn tyres etc etc …

Well apparently, they didnt read the laws properly, if they ever read them.

I saw on the streets today 11th of march billboards all over the place, but didnt have my camera on me. They were putting the billboards as i was passing by, so i suppose this is a new movement that should be announced within the next few days.

They have a very difficult task to do, if their intentions are to join btw both groups or work on the Lebanese that are sick of both groups, i am very curious to see who is behind this movement and what are their goals.

Just a clarification, that Sheikh Bashir asked Aoun back then to take care of a region in Mount Lebanon with his troops, and the first army-LF clash happened back then when Aoun went to complete his mission and got into a fight with the LF units up there. ( Info taken from General Aoun 7elm 2awou wahem book by Sarkis Naoum)

Riad Mounir Abi Khattar was shot dead by Marada armed men on Tuesday 23rd while he was heading with his comrads from the LF office in Batroun. This is the third LFer in two years shot by Marada and as Pierre quoted, an LF responsible in Batroun, will be the last time we allow Frangieh thugs to harm our comrads here.

His brother was next to him when Riad was trying to save an injured Lfer and got shot in the head. The army surrounded the LF office after that instead of going after the killers.

Here is a small resume on Riad Abi Khattar’s life.

Born in 1969 in Jebla Batroun, he has one brother and 3 sisters, one of his sisters died few months ago from a certain sickness. His father was buried one week before he got killed, after suffering from severe injuries in the head caused by Syrians who had kidnapped him for a whole year during their rule in Lebanon.

He was married but his wife also was taken away cause of a fatal sickness.

He was known to be a polite and committed LFer always serving his family and his friends and most importantly his Cause.

He is the village’s 2nd martyr after Bassem Sarkis who died during the Ilgha war

May He Rest in peace.

In my earlier post , i was arguing if the LF ruined Hezbollah’s perfect plot yesterday, and Nasrallah and Geagea speeches yesterday were good enough to prove me right.

Nasrallah during his speech 2 days ago, quoted the following:
“The opposition has the political, popular and organizational strength to bring down the unconstitutional government tomorrow or the day after,” Nasrallah told supporters in Beirut. “

How can Hezbollah possibly bring down the government except by force ?
From Day1 in Riad El Solh, there were talks about an attempt to invade the serail, but after tensions started to arise and Ain el Teene was threatened indirectly by the Sunnite bloc, Nasrallah refrained from doing so.
On Tuesday, The clashes that erupted btw LF & FPM and the kills that resulted from those fights made him stop as well leaving Aoun as the political victim of this failure.

This is not the first and definitly not the last threat by Nasrallah and for those who are still doubting his true intentions, explain to me how can he topple the government politically ?

All political methods were abused to pressure Sanioura and they didnt work, Tuesday was a different approach, an organized plot to surround Beirut, then probably pressure the serail by moving the Riad el Solh protestors.

It failed and 14th of march are now aware of what the Opposition has in mind the next time it will hit the streets.

Hakim was clear, Nasrallah is not looking for a civil war, though i personally believe Nasrallah and Hezbollah need a war to survive. He added that “he(Nasrallah) wont achieve anything”, therefore making it clear for the Opposition not to try undemocratic methods.

The next few days will witness the last attempts for the Opposition to make a serious ‘armed’ move against the government, because time is against them now.

This is what Al-Akhbar did by displaying a false picture of an armed man saying he was an LF. This is how easy it is to do the same ..so i hope some papers will get back to their senses and start posting real stories instead of competing who can lie better than the other !
