I know this is pure coincidence, but i am sure his family will keep this age in mind, specially the young Gemayels Nadim & Sami who are both very implicated politically.

One might say those criminals sure know how to pick the age, even the hour since both crimes were committed around 4 pm.

Hundreds of people started a candle march to the place of the crime singing religious songs praying for Sheikh Pierre’s soul.
You can follow it on LBC.

Most of the Anti-Syrian parties have condemned the assasination of Sheikh Pierre el Gemayel and directly or indirectly accused the Syrian regime and its head in Lebanon Pr.Lahoud of this brutal crime.

14th of March after their meeting in Beit Kataeb Saifi asked for a massive participation on Thursday and asked for a new president.

Saad Hariri, Marwam Hmade, Walid Jumblatt and Samir Geagea all asked the president to resign.

Tomorrow, we pray for the soul of our young martyr, the Independance martyr, Sheikh Pierre Gemayel but we also are on a turning point, whereas the people must be the one leading and not following, and the decision to Baabda will depend on the participation in my opinion.

Tomorrow is a test to see if the Cedars Revolution is still alive or not, we have one more Syrian symbol to remove, we got our international tribunal and the truth will be shown, now is the time to get rid of all this filth killing our people.

I know the decision is a tough one, and i fear that people might die cause of such a move, but i leave it to the people to decide and i ask the leaders to be join the people for once ..

We will never forget.

I didnt wanna post about it yesterday, because i wasnt sure about it and out of respect for our late martyr Sheikh Pierre, but i re-read it in the papers today and i cannot stand this party’s filth anymore.

Everyone was calling for preserving the unity and calming down, yet we have lebanese groups spreading poison, as Jumblatt quoted it today, among the Lebanese.

Frangieh prepared his press conference 5 minutes after Pierre’s death, as if he was preparing himself for it and knew all about it, and accused the 14th of march of killing him.

It is weird how the criminals ( Syria & co) are the first to condemn their murder.

And Hezbollah wasnt better, stating in an official PR that they condemn this attack and it is against peace and want to drag us to civil war, BUT orders its poisonous TV Al-Manar to point the fact that 14th of march is responsible and speaks about some silencers the American embassy received few days go.

I seriously dont know how to even talk with those people.

Security Council OKs Hariri Tribunal

Justice must prevail and the criminals brought to justice.
We’ve had enough.

Sheikh Pierre putting flowers on his grandfather’s memorial in Bekfaya few hours before he died.

We all know Aoun has nothing to do with it, but the FPM arrogance and attacks against Pierre Gemayel during the past elections and till now were unbearable, and went far beyond politics.

Aoun was smart enough yesterday to say the minimum and necessary and not even answer any questions.

Enjoy this video, few hours after Sheikh Pierre’s assasination.

The murder happened almost 5 hours ago, and i refrained from expressing myself till now. When i heard the news, i was told he was seriously injured, i called one of his relatives and few friends asking the same question: but he is not dead right ?

I even quickly smsed my friend that he is not dead yet, i wanted to believe that as much as i was expecting to hear he is dead any second. One would say we got used to those assasinations, but everytime feels different, everytime i feel more frustrated and sickened but determined to put an end to those murders somehow .

Sheikh Pierre’s murder was a brutal one, yet i wanna see it as another opportunity for the Lebanese to unite, for the Cedars revolution to be revived, and for finishing off what we started on the 14th of march 2005 and clean Lebanon from the filth that is killing its young men and women, whether it is Syrian or Iranian or Israeli, i dont care.

Every murder is making us stronger and more determined to live peacefully and in dignity. The reactions from our leaders ( except Frangieh & Lahoud ) were rational and were more mature and i hope this will be an occasion to come back to dialogue and resolve our issues in a civilized way.

I call upon the 14th of march to embrace Hezbollah & Amal and i call upon the HA & Amal ministers to come back from their resignation for Lebanon’s sake.

The Syrian regime that i directly accuse of this murder cannot stand seeing a Lebanese party grow strong, it will kill Anti-Syrian politicians and then move on to Pro-Syrians. It killed Kamal Jumblatt the same way it killed Bashir Gemayel, it killed Hassan Khaled the same way it killed Renee Mouawad and the long list of martyrs since Hariri’s assasination last year, this regime only knows how to kill.

I wish that Sheikh Pierre would be our last martyr, but i sense the black list is not yet completed, still i want to consider each new martyr another opportunity for strenghening our unity, our sovereignty and independance and for being more determinated to find those criminals and judge them in an international tribunal.

Each martyr should be a lesson for the Lebanese, that the independance they got in 1943 was fake, and last year was an unfinished one, and that this independance only can be made by the people, and belongs to the people and not to the current politicians and feudal leaders.

Funeral will be held thursday at 1 at Mar Gerges Cathedral Beirut.
I ask all Lebanese to attend this funeral to commemorate another martyr, hopefully our last martyr, the Independance martyr, the Lebanese Youth martyr.

From Naharnet:
The United States :
“We were shocked by this assassination, we view it as an act of terrorism,” said Undersecretary of State Nicholas Burns.

Britain
“Clearly we condemn it. We are dismayed. There are enough problems in Lebanon already,” Beckett told a London press conference with her Israeli counterpart Tzipi Livni.

British Prime Minister Tony Blair said:
the killing was “completely without any justification at all.”

French Foreign Minister Philippe Douste-Blazy said the murder was a “new attempt to destabilize Lebanon.”

Moscow condemned the “resumption of political assassinations” in Lebanon, the Russian foreign ministry said.

The European Union condemned the killing and said those behind the slaying must be brought to justice.
“Those responsible for this cowardly assassination … must be found and judged,” EU Foreign Policy Chief Javier Solana said.

Jordanian King Abdullah II said the murder was a crime aimed at destabilizing Lebanon.
The king denounced what he called a “cowardly crime that is targeting the security and stability of brother Lebanon,” the official Petra news agency said

AND OF COURSE, Sheikh Pierre’s killers denounced as well

Syria
condemned the assassination, calling the shooting of the anti-Damascus politician a “despicable crime aimed at destabilizing” Lebanon.

“This odious crime is aimed at destabilizing Lebanon and disturbing the civil peace in the country,” an official source said, quoted by the state news agency SANA.

The source said Syria worked to ensure “the security of Lebanon, its stability and unity of its people, and to preserve its civil peace“.

a regular student in the library, checked out a movie that i wanted to watch for class, and then i think… let me check my mobile phone and i get the message. they killed pierre.

i may look like a regular student… but you know whats different about me? i am lebanese. and as a lebanese i cannot expect to have the usual worries other people have. no as a lebanese you just have to think of murder and death every single minute of ever single day. heaven forbid you feel like a normal person for two days in a row.

as i was walking back home, i could only think of one incident, which is a bit sad really. it was in a thread long ago about the president of lebanon. and i remember debating with 3ajib, where i said i want my president to be handsome at least. and he asked… do you mean pierre el gemayel? and all i could think about walking home…was that he couldnt be president now. he doesnt even have that option anymore. and what is his crime? he is working in politics in lebanon.

i can honestly say that i have seen him twice. the first time was about four years ago. i was working in a patisserie in bikfaya and he was chatting with my boss. they kept laughing and his laugh was so loud. he was just telling jokes. god rest his soul, he always had a smile on his face.

the second time i met him was last year  in the opening of beit el kataeb.

the question here remains… what is our fate? what is to become of us? is this what we have to look forward to? so many people dying. so young. he could have achieved so much still. why are we doing this to ourselves…

and you know whats worse?

that soon people will for the most part forget. they will get on with their lives. trying to be normal until the next blast hits.

but for how long can we endure? and what are these people all dying for?

To Baabda …

Let us march to Baabda .. this is becoming unbearable.

Let us celebrate the independance day by removing Syria’s last symbol in Lebanon.

This is how Syria and its allies in Lebanon want to drop the government.
This is how Lahoud wants to drop the government.
This is the price we have to pay for asking for the international tribunal.

You cant make 1/3 of the government resign, you kill ministers.

Wayno el Sayyid 7assan sekit ? is he still preparing his people psychologically to go to the streets ?? Are those the Israeli agents you were pointing at ? a 34 year old young man killed in the most brutal and barbaric way ?

And now they start blaming Israel ! walaw ma you labeled us as Israeli agents two days ago, why would Israel want to kill us ??

We deserve to live in peace and dignity, this is all we are asking for.

Enough.

NBN is too busy covering the press interview Sleiman Frangieh is having right now.
The guy is accusing the 14th of march of killing Sheikh Pierre and defending Syria.

Wlik Kol ***** wou 2indab bi baytak ya 7ayawen.
