And so what if there is a world cup ? we stop working politics ?? everything is in pause ?
This is just so pathetic, we had major issues still pending and the international community waiting for us to change things so it helps us, yet we forget about everything cause of the world cup games ?

I bet they d postpone a 7iwar session if there was some final or semi-final game.

Just pathetic walla.

We all easily remember the Baabda-Aley elections.

No need to remind anyone how things happened, how General Aoun proposed Pierre Dakach and no one else, and how LF refused him in the beginning, then, magically he was accepted as a NEUTRAL person.

LF convinced us, and many attacked us because we said no, no he is not neutral, no we do not believe this, no we refuse.

Yesterday I was watching the news, and I saw MP Dakach with General Aoun’s blog in front of the constitutional council, exactly behind General Aoun.

Is that called neutrality ? It is true he is not attending their meetings, but it seams he is joining their campaigns.

Especially in this specific move, he is taking a definitive stance with General Aoun, and supporting the constitutional council that is supposed to give General Aoun the majority.

Not to score points or anything, I just want to remind all how things happened and how we were forced to believe he is neutral, well no he is not, and all who tried to convince us are held accountable.

I also want to ask Baabda Aley people not to forget this one, not to fall in the same trap again, Dakach is not neutral, and if they agreed on making it without elections this does not make him neutral.

Waking up time !

Thank you Rafee2 Roger for this letter.
It is a shame to see great comrads being treated that way. If the LF was a company, it d be broke and closed in no time. ya 3ayb el shoum.

He gives the LF an amount of 6,000,000 US Dollars monthly and in return Samir Geagea has no right to interfere in the business of the LBCI.

What do you say?
Deal or no Deal?

Pierre El Daher should be hanged, this is my deal.

Anti Aoun Blog

Just found this really funny blog that is anti Aoun. Lots of interesting stuff there and some of it very creative. Check it out. [Link]

What happened in the past week between Sheikh Pierre el Daher and Dr. Geagea was expected to occur but not in such a dramatic way. For those who are aware of what the LBC went through in the past 11 years and the achievements it did despite the political pressure, you can understand Daher’s position on keeping LBC as it is and not turning it into an LF TV.

First of all, this is the 3rd or 4th time Hakim gets into a dispute with ‘Pierrot’. Back in 1988 Daher left LBC and went to Arab countries for almost a year before coming back in 89. Later in 93, another dispute happened between Hakim and Daher.

LBC started as an LF TV founded by Sheikh Bashir Gemayel that quoted:

“أريد تلفزيون “حيللا” بل اريده تلفزيون يعبر بكل صدق عن القضية ، ويكون جهازاً اعلامياً صادقاً مئة في المئة ، فنحن لا نريد أن نحجب الحقيقة عن أحد ، بل نتوخى جهازاً إعلامياً منفتحاً على الجميع ، وفي حرية كاملة حتى ولو أدَى ذلك الى أن يهاجمنا البعض”. “

Bachir wanted a TV station back then to advocate our cause to the world, but he also wanted an organization capable of transmitting Lebanon’s image to the world too, same for Hakim who always thought futuristically.

We cannot accept LBC to step backwards and restart as an LF station, Hakim should not accept that. Pierre el Daher did an outstanding job regardless of the political links he made to keep his TV going, and I truly believe the outcome was worth it.

LBC built itself a media empire in the Arab world and has become a professional station on all levels. It’s more than natural for Daher to refute any idea of using it as an LF tool and ruin 21 years of hard work and commitment.

Some might say LBC belongs to the LF legally, but from what I know Pierre and Hakim had an agreement before he went to jail and from what Al-Massira published this week, Pierre did not violate this agreement and gave the LF what it asked for.

Honestly, I believe there is a problem with the staff around Hakim who wanna take control of everything in undiplomatic ways and labeling people who do not communicate. That was published in Annahar that Pierre el Daher was frustrated from the ‘traitor’ labeling he was hearing from Hakim’s surrounding and the same has happened with Massira and official sites for the LF. This is unacceptable and Hakim must ‘clean’ his surrounding for good and replace incompetents with respectful honest and professional people.

I dont believe people such as Pierre el Daher and Viviane Saliba are materialistic people and only care about gaining more money, those people have sacrified their lifes working for the institutions the LF founded and appointed them in charge of them and have done their work to perfection and gained everyone’s admiration and respect.

LBC existed because of the LF but LBC would have never become what it is without Pierre el Daher, neither the LF without Hakim, therefore the same way Hakim would not tolerate old LFers doubting his leadership, Pierre el Daher would not accept people telling him to step off.

LBC was founded by the LF durring Bachir’s time for the purpose of reporting to the world the Christian cause and our persecution. The media of the war days and even till now, never reported our sufferring and our views. Since the discrimination against the LF durring the Syrian occupation, LBC was forced to transfer its shares to Daher. Thus, the Phonecian mentality prevailed and sold Bachir’s cause for Greed and power.

The only way to change the new path is to buy Daher out or to boycott LBC—–Basicly, dont watch it….cancel your subsription, bring down the value of LBC. Express your dis-satisfaction, E-mail LBC/Daher your concerns. Remember the greed/mentality, Use your capital power.

If its a political move, its a disaster, if its about business, it violates the Christian cause. If its truly about journalisim and independent reporting its up for debate especialy in Lebanon.

LBCI, one of Lebanon’s leading television stations, in an unexpected move has announced its independence from the Lebanese Forces, the Christian party it has been associated with since it was founded in 1985.
As Safir newspaper reported Thursday that Pierre Daher, executive director of the Lebanese Broadcasting Corporation International, in a major restructuring drive declared the station’s break away from the LF and its leader Samir Geagea.

Daher reportedly called his employees for an urgent meeting during which he said that he is not ready to sacrifice the station ‘that we built with our sweat, blood and tears… to turn it into an LF station, which would no longer be for all the Lebanese and the Arabs.”

As Safir said Daher emphasized that the move was part of a plan to protect the station and ensure its continuity and professional standing.

Daher also carried out administrative changes, the paper said without giving further details.

LBCI, the first private television station in Lebanon, was founded ten years after the 1975 outbreak of the Civil War and was heavily associated with the LF.

As a result of its political affiliation, the station was often targeted by the artillery shells of factions rivaling the right-wing Christian party. Its journalists have also been subjected to violence.

The most recent attack against the station was the Sept. car bomb explosion against its leading anchorwoman May Chidiac who lost her left leg and arm in the blast.

Chidiac, who was well known as an LF sympathizer, was also a staunch critic of Syria. The attack against her was one of a string of bombings aimed at anti-Syrian figures including the Feb. 2005 blast that killed former premier Rafik Hariri.

Since its onset, LBCI rose to become one of the highest rated stations in Lebanon. It went global in 1996 when it launched the LBC Satellite channel, al Fadaiya al Lubnaniya, that broadcasts to audiences in the Arab world. It now has several channels covering Europe, North America and Australia.

The station’s regional and international outreach happened when Geagea was serving an 11-year jail sentence for crimes committed during the war.

After his release in 2005, LBCI went back to covering the LF chief prominently by assigning a journalist to stay with him at his Cedars mountain resort in north Lebanon where he chose to live out of security concerns.
